Absolutely the best groomer in the area for both cats and dogs. She offers personalized, one-on-one grooming sessions in a super comfortable setting. The only shop I know with a Certified Feline Master Groomer on staff. Go there!

Highly trained and caring professional groomer. We chose this spa because of the owner’s reputation and expertise in grooming cats. Our 5 year old cat had never been to a groomer but his long fur was matted and he needed someone knowledgeable and patient. Katie communicated with us several times before the appointment date and we felt comfortable about leaving our 20 pound cat with her. He was so calm and mellow when we picked him up; obviously enjoyed the pampering! We made 2 future appointments on the spot. The spa is clean and appealing. Pets are groomed individually and have Katie’s undivided attention. So fortunate to have learned of this great spa!

When I called to make the appointment for my puppy, the first thing Kathy asked was how much does your dog way. I told her 64 pounds. It looks like she did a great job bathing the puppy he was clean he smelled lovely but she up charged me because she said she didn’t expect him to be so big and hairy. $80 to wash a dog is outrageous, especially when other local pet spas rated equally well are only charging $45 for services that include even more than what Kathy did. I do feel for her knowing that she does have issues with her wrist, but she could have declined the puppy if she didn’t think she could handle the 64 pounds. Surprising me with an up charge certainly was not the way to handle the situation.

Katie's very professional and seems to keep up to date equipment to insure a quality grooming experience.

This groomer is one of the best! She takes her time and makes sure my animals are really cared for and are looking their best. And her shop is one of a kind so homey makes the pets feel more comfortable.

I cannot say enough good things about Summer Meadows or Ms. Katie. I have been using her for...I want to say 4 or 5 years...and I will never go elsewhere. She was close to home but I’ve since moved to Taneytown and she is SO worth the drive. If you’re looking for a cage free groomer who will make your pet their priority and feel at ease..you’ve found the one. I have an anxious 9 year old Pomeranian and Katie takes such, such good care of him. I also have a 5 year old frenchie/chihuahua rescue that gets a shedless treatment and it does wonders for her skin and coat. Plus she just loves going! The grooming is always so perfect and exactly what I ask for. She’s also really responsive and easy to communicate with. I love that even though my dogs can be difficult on the front end, Katie always takes them back with a smile and when I pick them up they’re smiling! ???????? Side note and bonus: I locked my keys in my car the last time I was there and my phone was dying (Oye vey!) but Katie didn’t bat an eye. She let me wait in her lobby out of the heat with my two babies for 1+ hour with her personal charger and was so patient about payment since it was locked up in my car. Such a kind human which only makes supporting her small business even more special! Search no more...SHE’S your girl.

Katie is amazing. She is like the cat whisperer! My cat has only ever had one grooming and that was under sedation. That being said, I was apprehensive about taking my cat to anybody because he is quite difficult and has sharp claws. but I also didn't want to continue to pay a huge cost and sedate my cat. Katie was recommended by another groomer in the area. Although I had to drive about an hour to see her, it was absolutely worth it! Katie was very professional and on time. My cat howled the whole drive up to her house, and I was uncertain if the grooming was even going to happen because he was so agitated. However, less than 10 minutes into giving her the cat, she texted me and said it was a go. She was done in an hour. When I came back to pick him up, he was a happy cat! He wasn't yelling or anxious, and he slept all the way home after a couple little meows. The grooming was beautiful and the price was quite reasonable considering he also got a bath, ear cleaning, eye cleaning, and nail trim. I absolutely recommend Katie for anybody who needs to get their cat groomed. She is wonderful. My only complaint is that she is so far away!

Katie has groomed our dogs and does an outstanding job. More importantly your dog will be treated kindly, and lovingly and can f know your pet is safe under Katie’s care. A great groomer is far more than a “bath and cut” but an important trusted member of your dog’s family. Charlene

Katie is such an incredible groomer! She is kind, patient, and is incredibly understanding and flexible with her scheduling. My little chihuahua is usually extremely anxious and aggressive when it comes to getting his nails trimmed, but when I take him to see Katie he is calm, relaxed, and behaves like a perfect little angel. She is attentive, soothing, and her love for animals is reflected in the exceptional quality services she provides to her clients. As a professional groomer myself it's always great to have solid referrals for clients I cannot take on. Unfortunately, at least in our area, we are lacking many skilled & compassionate groomers but all I need is one, and thay is Katie of Summer Meadows Pet Spa. She is super talented and offers a TOP OF LINE care at her gorgeous pet spa. My main rule for referring other pet professionals is quality of CARE! With Katie, you get a true pet spa experience AND creativity and talent which shows in her grooms. You WILL NOT find this level of service or care elsewhere.

We have been going to Summer Meadow Pet Spa every month for years. Katie does an amazing job. Her shop is super clean and beautiful and she is right on time. Not to mention Katie is one of the kindest gals around. My Gracie girl loves to go to the "spa" (as we call it!).

Katie is hands down the best groomer!! Not only is she amazing with dogs, but she has been bathing and grooming my long haired Norwegian forest cat. I love that she has a cage free facility and all of her clients are treated like one of the family!
