Mallory did my puppy’s first groom & today did his first full grooming. He seems to love her when I take him inside & always comes out looking great! Mallory is super sweet & does a great job with my pup!

Clean store. Big selection. Cat adoption center which usually has many cats and kittens. Vet services available. Pet tag machine. Plenty of parking. The only flaw is sometimes long checkout lines. Overall a great store.

Terrible customer service, the fish are eating each other packed into small tanks while there are plenty others empty, one employee in particular was too busy to assist me a Hispanic male, but one minute later a white lady came and asked the same employee for help and she jumped right into action meanwhile I was standing right there still waiting, I miss petvalue

If you are visiting for grooming the best groomer by far is a young woman by the name of Alissia she is simply amazing, skilled and professional. Other are great but she by far is my go to groomer.

disappointed with their grooming capability. Apparently my dog was anxious and not cooperative (he has had successful grooming sessions elsewhere, so not sure why he was not cooperative). I understand dogs can be unpredictable but I did not like when they talked unkindly about my dog and said something about sedatives. Again, overall not a good experience for my dog or us is all I can say

I generally go here to purchase aquarium supplies. During covid they have had the best selection of mystery snails compared to others in the area. The staff is very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful Sometimes the items are cheaper online but they will match the price in store so keep an eye out for that. Never had such a horrible experience at any store. Guy named “RJ” at the counter accused me of ripping the tag off from a dog toy and then went back and scanned a pricier item than what I was buying. Shouted at me for trying to fool him with the wrong price. I had to go back to the aisle to take a picture and to show him the picture of the price tag that was there on the aisle just to end that argument. Such a horrible way to deal with the customer.

I have been a Kentlands resitdent for over 25 years. I feel that our community is very fortunate to have this pet center in our neighborhood. Even during the uncertainty of Covid, the Management and Staff have been stellar. When i bought my tarantula the store manager allowed me to walk home with the store owned housing items the tarantula was housed with; which i returned next day. This showed trust in their customars. To me and for me, this place has been always upbeat, helpful and caring. My hat is off to the Mgt of this store and the staff they hire. They care. Thank you.

I usually write a review if something is excellent or the worst. The first time we sent our Golden retriever (14 months old) for shower and dematting. There were specific instructions for NO TRIMMING. And to our surprise he was! His fur from the top was so thin and short! He was there for 2.5-3 hours and when we picked up our puppy he was still damp! Cutting it short, he had started shedding more than he ever did. And ever since when we brush him his fur is not in a lump but like feathers which make it worst to collect. He also developed some allergic reaction to the product they used around his neck and almost developed hot spots near his elbow areas because he was not dried off properly. He has started to reek this stench within less than 10 days as if he has not been showered in weeks! We bath him ourselves as he has always been comfortable with that and always cooperates, but he was so scared when we showered him after he had been to this pet smart location. We had to pick him up and put him in the shower which was never the case before this. I don’t know how they treat the dogs there, or what products they use or even if the towels they use are clean enough. Never again will we do this mistake. If you love your fur child, please be careful and keep all things in mind. We learned a lesson the hard way.

There was nobody in the fish dept to talk to, the lady there didn't want make eye contact and she kept hiding in the back.

Love petsmart I take my dog there and he always has a blast. I’m now a resent fish owner and it been a blast! There not as hard as u can think. They explained everything well and what to do and how to feed them. Well knowledgeable staff. Sometime hard to find but they help eaither way. Now there always room for improvement for things like more cashiers and more friendly people and happy people.

Good products, and shopping environment overall. I go purchase merchandise and get grooming services for my dog. Usually, it is a 4-star operation. But, customer service at the cash register is becoming very poor. It behooves management to select individuals who have a friendlier disposition and actually want to work there to interface with the customers. The last time I checked out at the register, I had a female clerk that was near hostile.

The Gaithersburg Petsmart has very friendly staff and we'll stocked selection of foods, treats, and accessories for your pet.

Great store with helpful associates and a decent pet salon.
