We came to VetUrgency with our severely ill cat. The staff were extremely kind, and they even cut our wait time when the vet tech at reception heard our cat vocalizing in pain over the phone. The doctor’s concern was clear, and all of the …

Our 12 year old dog had a fatty tumor that she cut. Due to the Covid crisis we were unable to make a vet appointment for weeks out. During that period her cut became infected. Afraid the infection would spread to her system without help, we started calling vet ERs but everyone was at capacity. When I got ahold of VetUrgency, the person who helped us listened with compassion and made us an appointment the next day. We were thrilled. We met with Dr. Rachel Fedje who was amazing! She listened to our concerns and removed the tumor. We are convinced if we did not get this help the infection would have spread and our old girl would have passed away before her regular vet appointment. 4 days later and she is on the speedy road to recovery. I can’t say enough good things about our experience here. Everyone LISTENED to what we thought and our concerns with her age. Thank you!

I never leave reviews of businesses, but my experience was so positive, I felt it was necessary! I took my cat last night after she suffered what turned out to be a minor leg injury, and was thoroughly impressed with the level care we received. We were able to get an appointment within 20 minutes of the time of my call, and were quickly directed to a patient room upon arrival. The vet tech (I'm assuming that was her position) Catherine was incredibly friendly and kind, and the veterinarian and one other woman who helped with my cat were all caring and clearly invested in giving her the best care. From the moment each of them encountered my cat, they were so gentle and sweet with her, and listened closely to what I had to say about her history and the incident that brought us in. They carefully verified all of their decisions and recommendations for her care, and were very upfront about the cost of the necessary treatment. Although I had to wait a while at the end, this was because another animal came in who was actively seizing-- quite understandable and I'm glad they prioritized the animal in crisis. As I left, the receptionist offered to watch my walk to my car in the dark parking lot, and waiting until I waved to her before heading back inside. The consideration and wonderful care were very reassuring, and the entire experience significantly exceeded my expectations.

my dog needed to see a vet when our regular vet was closed and I had a great experience at veturgency. I was able to make a same day appointment online. The staff were very kind towards me and my dog. Sydney was the vet tech working with us and gave great care to my dog. Prices were reasonable for emergency services. I recommend for anyone that needs to see a vet during off hours!

I took my cat Zoey yesterday on a Saturday. I was able to schedule appt online. I arrived early and was taken in within 5 minutes. The lady at the front desk was very friendly. Zoey was suffering from what I believed was a uti. The vet tech (didn't catch her name as I was pretty upset) was very kind, caring and thorough. Very sweet to my kitty Zoey. Dr. Grainger was very kind, caring and thorough as well. They treated Zoey for uti, sq flush and anti nausea medications. The bill was not too bad for a emergency visit. As soon as I got home with my sweet kitty, a huge improvement was noticed as she was hungry, so she ate, and she was no longer hiding or spitting up. She felt much better. She is doing great this morning as well. Thank you everyone at veturgency for your services and making my sweet girl feel better.

They left our pet in worse condition. For almost $1000 they gave wrong diagnosis & unnecessary medication (per follow up visit with our regular vet). Their Russian vet Anastasiya Schreiner injected our senior pet with unnecessary, class III opioid (only indicated for post-surgical pain, our pet did NOT have surgery) & anti-nausea drug despite their own assessment that he had no signs of pain or nausea. These drugs resulted in 4 DAYS awful side effects, insomnia & restless pacing. Our pet has been unable to sleep or eat, with glazed over eyes like saucers. When we called regarding the side effects they offered no remedy or explanation and just told us to go to emergency clinic. It seems they gouge unsuspecting, vulnerable pet owners with expensive, unnecessary drugs & procedures and over-priced “prescription” food that our pet won’t touch. Truly shameful, and of course they have not responded to feedback since they already have our money.

The girl at the front desk tonight was extremely rude. I was scheduling an appt online and saw one was open at 9pm, then it changed to 10:30. I arrived at 8pm, after driving an hour, and upon arrival she mentioned “we’re at capacity”.... there was LITERALLY no one in the parking lot or in their office. She also tried to tell me I didn’t have an appt, when it was confirmed. Lol, seems like they’ll try anything to leave early when their hours say they’re open until midnight

Had amazing service here. We just moved to the area so we didn't have an established regular vet yet to go see for a small problem, so we went here. We were able to get a same day appointment no trouble, and they have really convenient hours. The staff was all kind and caring, and treated my dog with kindness and not like a number like some other vets. The exam was thorough and the tech Sydney (who was wonderful) and doctor we saw were both knowledgeable and sure to explain every aspect of the treatment plan in detail. Prices were super reasonable for emergency services as well. Will definitely come back for any after hours or urgent care needs!

I am so impressed with Veturgency! I booked a same day appointment due to extremely long wait times at every vet between Frederick and Hagerstown and wasn't sure what to expect. As other reviewers have said, there was a bit of a wait. But that is the nature of emergency medical care! The staff is top notch. The receptionist was very responsive, informative, and friendly on the phone and in person. The vet tech and doctor were both extremely compassionate towards my anxious dog, and empathetic towards me, the frantic owner. They gave me lots of options and worked with me to determine my needs, and the visit summary they provided was very thorough and the tech took the time to explain it all to me and answer my questions. I can't recommend them highly enough.

Had to take two dogs in to get checked out and they were very nice people. They explained everything and answered all the questions with great knowledge and clarity. You could tell they loved there job.. I even received a card in the mail a week later hoping that the pups were doing well. My doctor doesn't even do that for me. Best experience at a vet thus far. 11/10

The staff is friendly, however they are slow and push for the most expensive procedures. I waited for hours unnecessarily listening to them chat away in other rooms. First and last time I come here.

My cat was gravely ill. My Vet said they had no appointments available for a few days. I was told to go to an emergency vet right away. I called this provider and made an appointment. I was treated with respect by the staff and the Doctor at Vet Urgency. I had no wait time. My poor cat crossed over this day. I received a sympathy card from Vet Urgency which touched my heart.

I have never had a good experience at an emergency vet UNTIL i found this place! The staff is very compassionate, efficient, and knowledgeable. I honestly have nothing but praise for this emergency clinic. So, if youre wondering where to take your pet, i promise that this is the place to go. The picture is a side by side of right before veturgency and the day after our visit: a much happier pitbull :)

Very impressed! There was a long wait, but understandable. This is an emergency practice, and severity of need is primary. The interview by the RVT was thorough, thoughtful and clearly from a highly skilled Tech. The vet was kind and insightful- great combination, very understanding. I have new meds for an old, sick dog, and would not hesitate to return and recommend to others!

I recently took my dogs to this facility and after speaking with the receptionist who was less than friendly sat in my car for two hours. There was one other patient in front of us and no one in the lobby. It took two additional hours to “ process” my dogs and an additional hour to be seen and treated. I waited 40 minutes to check out. During this time one other pet came in. The phone rang one time. There was no good reason was with the staff they had to take this long. It did become apparent there was one Vet working. If you go to “ urgent” care with your pet it is because there is a sense of urgency. There did not seem to be be that level of care or professionalism.

Staff was super friendly and accommodating. Everyone seemed very knowledgeable. The veg (Dr. Brommer?) was great at explaining everything and never made me feel rushed. Received a followup call the next day to check on my pup and also a get well card for her. So sweet!

Very knowledgeable staff and friendly. Our German shepherd Chloe got into the trash. We called VRA and Blue Pearl. BP was rude and VRA had a 5 hour wait. We got an appt at 10pm, in by 11pm. Waiting on Chloe now. Price is average: exam, xrays, and medicine for a 100lb dog came out to $850. Luckily we have Healthy Paws Insurance so 80% will be reimbursed. Highly recommended!!

I can't be more thankful for the Staff at VetUrgency on the evening of 03/07/21. Due to Covid19 we couldn't be inside with our golden retriever puppy but they made us feel like he is in the best hands. I really appreciate their nice words and their perfect care! As a first time puppy owner you're terrified when your pet does not feel good and you don't know how to help him but Juli and Stacy reassured us that we're doing a great Job. We'll definitely come back if we have to (* fingers crossed * that we won't ) THANK YOU!

So grateful VetUrgency is here in Frederick! They were efficient and kind when helping me and my dog. All of the staff, especially Ann, were sympathetic and knowledgeable and I felt that they loved my boy as one of their own! Such a better experience than going to the Emergency Room. Thank you to the doctors and staff for helping us!

I highly recommend Vet Urgency to anyone wanting top notch care for their pet. I brought my dog Piper late in the evening after she had been vomiting/diarrhea and refusing water and food for the previous 2 days. I was worried she was dehydrated and my primary veterinary was closed. Because of Covid I wasn’t able to go in with her but I felt comfortable she was in good hands because of how sweet the girls I spoke with on the phone were and how wonderful and reassuring the Vet tech who took her back was. Dr. Matthew Benedick was exceptional! He took so much time thoroughly explaining Pipers condition and the treatment he felt was best to get her better. He was very upfront about pricing and emailed an exact rundown of which treatments were recommended. When Piper was returned to us she looked so much happier and less lethargic. Because of our visit at Vet Urgency we discovered Piper had pancreatitis and were able to follow up with our primary care vet to get her the treatment she needed. She is doing so much better now and to top it all off we received a personal get well card from the staff signed by everyone. I thought that was such an amazing, thoughtful addition and really appreciated it. Thank you Dr. Benedick and staff at Vet Urgency!

The main thing I would say thanks thanks thanks. Going home feeling like there is hope and Also we were not just another number.! Thank you again Veturgency and Dr Rosalind

We had to put my mom’s dog to sleep and the staff were very kind, compassionate, and professional. They got us in there promptly and made the process pretty smoothly under the circumstances. The doctor and support staff were excellent.

The care and staff at the facility were top notch. I had to make the very difficult decision to humanely euthanize my dog over the weekend and this facility was able to handle the situation with all the compassion and professionalism that one would expect. When I paid the bill, I didn’t even bother to look at it and left. They took it upon themselves to call me and let me know that I was overcharged and they processed a refund right away. I probably would have never noticed. Highly recommended for your urgent care needs. Thank You VetUrgency!
