CVCA Cardiac Care for Pets Frederick, Maryland

CVCA keeps ahead of my dogs cardiac condition. He has DCM and there is no cure, just management of the progression. I’m forever grateful for all they do - Simba lives his best life!

We had a great experience with CVCA. Under an extremely stressful and worrisome time, Dr. Boorstin was wonderful. Very knowledgeable, took time to answer questions, did not rush us and was genuine. Compassionate, caring doctor. Highly recommend.

Both my wife and I were very happy with the competent care our dog received. We received clear communications about the results of her tests and the vet took the time to show me the recorded display of her echocardiogram. I appreciated that very much!

She took the time to help me understand what our situation was, showed me how my patient's heart was performing. The care is exceptional and during an emotional time, each person makes it comfortable, supportive and kind.

It was an overall great experience. I feel confident in the doctor's knowledge. They were sweet to my dog and accommodating to me. Thorough explanation of my dog's condition, compassionate care, kind manner. I am very happy with how we were both treated.

Thank you again to everyone who assisted with Olive! You all were amazing!! Everything and Everyone! From arrival to leaving Olive was well cared for and I'm still in shock at how much the Vet's assistant went out of her way to assist. Everyone was friendly, professional, caring and I'm very thankful at how the Doctor took the time to explain all to me and made sure I walked out door with all my questions answered.

Overall, good experience. Chad, my kitty, agrees. Dr. Tyrrell had a wonderful bedside manner. He was very thorough during the entire exam and procedure, taking time to explain in layman's terms what everything meant. His calm, relaxed demeanor put my high anxiety kitty at ease--something no other vet has been able to accomplish!

Great place to bring pets with cardiac concerns. I especially love the thoughtful questioning of Ulysses' health - continuously asking if there's anything else they can answer.

Everyone was so nice and patient. They took the time to explain everything to me in detail. They made sure my cat was good and kept petting him and talking to him. Everyone was amazing How sweet everyone was with my cat. They really took time to make sure he was calm and give him love. Would really recommend

Please continue with your awesome service and people skills. It is SO hard to find and train these days. I was impressed from A to Z and have told so many people about my experience. I wish I lived a bit closer but for specialty services like this, it is worth every penny to travel to your location! My ENTIRE experience was above and beyond but I truly loved and appreciated the care and attention provided by the physician ( Bill Tyrrell) and his assistant while we were there.

Good visit overall. I like the Frederick location better than Towson due to being less busy. I also liked that the vet came out to the parking lot to talk to us in person and also how it didn't feel like I was being rushed.

Thank you for taking such great care of Grace! The staff members are always so friendly. The cardiologists always explain things so well so we know how our cat is progressing. They are very responsive to emails and questions concerning our pet's care.

Wonderful compassionate cardiologist and staff members, who answered any questions I had and explained my cats heart function and echocardiogram to the fullest extent in terms that I understood; and explained my cats health and care moving forward.

The doctors and staff at CVCA always make me feel comfortable because I know they are taking good care of my pet. An exceptional staff and experience!! The kindness shown to me and the care with which my dog was handled was greatly appreciated. Dr. Tyrrell took his time and clearly explained things to me in plain language. He was professional and very engaging. The staff were wonderful - very positive, helpful, and pleasant. I left having all of my questions answered, feeling confident in the procedure and diagnosis, and grateful for the efficiency of their operation.

Very happy that this place is what our Primary Vet recommended. Everyone that we interacted with was so nice, and the doctor was extremely informative.

Glad our pup is ok and we don't have to come back but if we did have to come back we'd def not hesitate to use again! The dr was amazing, down to earth, sweet, and communicated everything so well!

CVCA is wonderful, and I'm so fortunate to have it nearby to ensure my cat gets the best care available. Everyone is so friendly and knowledgeable. The doctors always explain things clearly and are patient with my questioning. My cat is scared of everyone but my husband and myself, but this last visit was the first time he let the tech take his BP on his tail! He was apparently a wonderful patient for the doctor and tech, so that just reassures me further that you've hired all the right people to set him at ease.

Dr. Schmidt is top notch. The staff are all knowledgeable, helpful and kind.

I have been taking pets to CVCA for many years, long before the Frederick location was an option, and it has always been a wonderful experience. The entire staff has always been helpful and friendly. Dr Tyrrell is knowledgeable, and excellent at explaining the issues in layman's terms. His bedside manner with my cats is amazing.

Dr. Tyrrell did a wonderful job explaining what was going on with my kitty's heart. Kate and Jenny were so sweet with Pico despite him not really cooperating with them. This was my first time being on the other side of the echo table and they definitely knocked it out of the park. Great job! Thank you, Team Frederick!! Excellent experience. The staff was patient with my tech fumbles and delays. There was no delay in getting the tests accomplished, or in getting him back to me. I also appreciate the time Dr. Schmitt took to explain Trooper's condition & prognosis, and her pivot when I told her follow-up would be complicated.

Great experience. It's stressful to bring a pet in with unknown medical conditions. Everyone was so nice and clear and made the experience good for me and my pup! My dog penny is very anxious and hesitant to go with strangers and she was so comfortable with the staff!!

I would recommend CVCA in Frederick to anyone. I really appreciated the kind and compassionate care from both the office staff and the doctor. I also really appreciated how the doctor explained everything to me.
