Happy Dog Care Ellicott City, Maryland

I have been taking my dog there for about a month and he’s always excited to go every morning! The staff there treats him like he’s their own and he loves them. They do a wonderful job taking care of my pup

If I could give more than 5 stars I would! A few months ago I rescued a dog that we later found it did not do well left alone while we were at work. Happy Dog Care are been a lifesaver! We use them 2-3 times a week and our beagle has been so happy! His behavior has improved, and he LOVES getting to see all of his dog and people friends there. The staff is wonderful and really gets to know all of the dogs. I love that they do picture days, celebrate dog's birthdays, and will give you plenty of updates about how your dog is doing. The only reason we are leaving is because we are moving across the country. Our new day care will have a very big shoes to fill!

My dog runs in there like there is nowhere she would rather be. That's really all I need to know.

According to my dog, they have lovely facilities and great friendly people. She likes the pool and the napping corner.

I go in with my mom who works their occasional and since today was my bday, I was able to go in. The staff is awesome and they respond to any behavioral issues and things that go wrong really fast and they keep the place really neat and try to sort things out as they go. The dogs are crate free unless told otherwise and they have lots of fun. This might be my future job and I would not be disappointed in anything.

We love this place! Our dog had a great time and returned happy and tired!!! He has alot of energy so it was great! Great staff and excellent in knowledge!!

Unfortunately, I do not recommend this place at all. I took my puphere for a "evaluation"/trial to see if we wanted to send him here for regular daycare because we had just moved to the area and the website said they give a free evaluation. Not only was it not free but they charged me to evaluate him and the only feedback I received...after I had to ask for it...was a verbal, "oh yeah, he did good." You charged me $25 to tell me he, who I noted that morning regularly had attended daycare and was used to it, did good? and after your website said free eval? Also, the place is FILTHY. It’s evident the minute you walk in the door, it’s dirty and it reeks terribly of urine, even for a pet daycare. Speaking of....two days later my dog had kennel cough ????

My dog loves this place. If your dog is very social this is a good place to take your dog. They get lots of energy out and lots of socialization.

The entire staff are amazing with dogs of all sizes and ages. They treat my dogs like family, which is evident by how excited my dogs (Ziggy and Rufus) are every time I drop them off!

Recently my dad hired a woman from Happy Dog Daycare to watch my elderly dog while he was in the hospital for a surgery. The woman was to to stay at the house and watch the dog full-time as an in-home caretaker. He was paying a hefty price for this quality service, so without a doubt, my dog should have been treated with the utmost care. The woman did not show up on time the day of the appointment. My dad had to leave for his surgery, knowing my dog was left all alone. He tried calling her cell number and her boss's cell phone, but no answer. Finally, after 30 minutes, she returned his call saying that she was sorry she was late and had overslept, which is BEYOND unprofessional. It should have been a red flag, but by this point, my dad had no other choice. While in the hospital the woman only sent one picture of my dog to my dad and communicated very infrequently. When it was time for my dad to come home after three days, he texted saying he would be home later that day. The woman responded by asking if he had a spare key because she was out on other dog-walking appointments. Excuse me? You were getting paid top dollar to watch our dog, not OTHER dogs. That is not acceptable. When my dad came home, he said the woman was in such a hurry to leave she left with his house keys and he had to call her to return them. He found my dog crying on the floor. She cried on the floor for 2 whole days since he was home. It is my belief that she was severely neglected or abused. This woman/company do not deserve any of my dad's money. We had to put our dog down the next day as a result of the care received from this company. If I could give this 0 stars, I would.

Happy Dog Care is a great place! My dog LOVES to go to Happy Dog. They provide lots of attention and the dogs get a good amount of socialization while they are there and have lots of fun. It is reassuring to drop your dog off, pay a flat rate and not get charged for all the "extra" services. The staff is very friendly and the facilities are clean. I live in Catonsville and it is very accessible. They are conveniently located close to I-70.

My dog has been attending day care as well as boarding at Happy Dog for over 8 years. He loves going to Happy Dog and the staff consistently provide kind and gentle care. Julie and her staff know canines and they supervise, feed, walk, and provide loving companionship to all the pups. When I have to travel or be away from home, I have no worries at all about my beloved dog being in their care. Dogs can crate overnight or be open; there are rooms for small dogs and plenty of play areas and equipment. It is super clean. They also can provide grooming if pre-arranged. I can't say enough positive things about this wonderful small business where my pup and I have made many human and canine friends over the years!!

I have used Happy Dog consistently for more than four and half years for my Giant Schnauzer (who is a handful). I have never been disappointed. They are wonderful! My dog is loved, cared for, and gets all the exercise and socialization a big dog needs. The staff are always willing to answer any doggie questions I have about training or problems. When I drop my dog off at Happy Dog, I know she'll be in the best of hands for the day, or for an extended period of boarding. I highly recommend this facility!
