Best dog training facility I have ever been to!It’s not just a place for your dog to learn but also for the owner too. I am so grateful for all the tips and lessons from Liz, she has been a great hand in helping to train our dachshund Meatball! The added benefit was that our other dachshund has started to pick up on Meatball’s good habits.

Basic dog training. They teach you how to train your puppy. Also offer dog daycare. I can't review their day care as I've not used them for that. Dog training is not bad.

I have been taking dogs to Coventry since 2010 for training. My current dog has been going weekly for the last 2 years. During the initial covid period we did virtual trick classes since I didn’t want to miss out on any training time. My dog loves Ace and Play. They engage his mind by working with the dogs during the day along with allowing them play time. My dog excitedly goes with them and doesnt look back which is what most of the dogs do. Over the years the owners Vinnie and Liz’s compassion for the dogs and the people who own them has really impressed me. When I missed a nosework class with Vinnie (oh they are a blast especially when you start competing) because my dog was sick he wrote me a kind email and offered to have His wife Liz call me to talk about their experiences with their many dogs. I took him up on it and had a lovely conversation with her. She even followed up later in the week to check in on me. I don’t think I could trust another place with my dog. They are just the best, Denise and Cato

I had four dogs growing up, but didn't understand the effectiveness and joy of positive training until I trained here with my corgi Guster. We've done most every class available and will be returning much more in the future.

Constantly on wait list. Had to go somewhere else. To help control customers booking every day all summer and then cancelling at their convenience, charge up front with no refunds. Simple. A customer can't make plans on a wait list.

We will no longer be bringing our dog back to Coventry. Initially, we started with Coventry and had an OK experience. There was nothing too spectacular about the place and we often wondered what the inside actually looked like (due to covid restrictions). After a few recent visits, we started to raise some red flags. Red Flags: Basic customer service, management follow-ups, late and basic report cards, lack of feedback during playtime, waitlisted 99% of the time. In addition, our dog came home agitated, and concerns about what our dog did that day...was my dog crated the majority of the day? ???? We hope by highlighting the information below, will help people make educated decisions for their dogs. Feeling rushed: Most recently, we felt very rushed when dropping off our dog. The lack of interaction while trying to put your dog in a fenced in area, is challenging and this practice should be revisited. It causes way too much, unnecessary anxiety for them. This gives us no time to talk to the employees. Not to mention, the latest interaction where a young man who barely acknowledged my entrance. He proceeded to be on his phone during the duration of my drop off. If you are not interested in being there, get another job. I left the facility feeling like my dog and I were a burden. My gut told me to go back in and get her (and I should have). Ace and Play: What initially drew us to Coventry was this program. A balanced program would help build a smart and well balanced dog...we were excited. At first, we had good interactions with this service. Most recently, we were left wondering if this was even being done at Coventry with our dog. We were given little information about how our dog did. We were left wondering, did our dog even participate and what was learned? All of this would clearly be on the report cards that were sent out.... Report Cards: Most recently, I had to reach out numerous times and ask for report cards during our dogs time in “Ace and Play”. A day later, on each occurrence, we received report cards. The reports were two sentences long and lacked any credible information on how our dog did that day? What was even more concerning is during pick up, we were told our dog did AMAZING at camp! Later to find out that our dog had a challenging time playing with other dogs. Lack of communication across the board. We feel this information should have been given to us immediately. As any dog owner, we want to learn and grow! Follow-up: We wanted to review our concerns with management. I called two (2) times in the past week to discuss. To date, I have received no call back from anyone!! Reservations: Always on a wait list to then be notified a day before for confirmation. Challenging for the customer to plan accordingly. Closing Statement: We will be taking our business elsewhere. We certainly acknowledge the work that team does at the facility, especially during these times. I would hope that my experience will help you make some adjustments to your business practice. We need an environment where we know our dog is getting the best experience... with no questions, no concerns and a staff that communicates effectively.

This is my dog's favorite place. He walks in, doesn't look back, doesn't say bye...nothing. it's his home away from home! We started there when he was 12 weeks old in puppy preschool. Because of the pandemic, we took the class virtually, which worked out great. He learned that he has to go to "work" in our living room. The class fee also included 3 days worth of daycare. We are now on our third obedience class and at 9 months, he is a very well behaved dog! We still have the adolescent and German stubbornness to deal with, but all the hard work is paying off. We also did Tricks Level 1 training, also virtual, which we loved during the winter to mentally tire him out. He goes to daycare three days per week, so I don't get fired. At daycare, his day is divided between conditioning, manners training, and other tricks. I get a report card each day he is there, which I meticulously review. Often times, they have to increase the difficulty of his tricks, because he already mastered the easy stuff. The report card also tells me when he doesn't have his best day, was too over-excited, or couldn't focus. Coventry has been vital and at the center of his socialization, learning, and behavior. All the training is positive reinforcement ONLY, which I am super appreciative of. The staff is friendly and helpful. The return on investment is well worth it.

I just finished a class with my pup Jojo, and it was great! After the first couple of classes we were making a lot of progress. I definitely recommend their classes!

We enrolled our puppy for the 8-week training class (4 Zoom and 4 in-person) excited to work with her and learn how we should be improving in our consistency with her. We were very worried because our puppy had developed a hot spot on her back and we wanted to make sure we were doing what we could to engage her. We were prompted by word-of-mouth and the good reviews to choose Coventry. Our very first class brought disappointment. Honestly, the content is excellent but we did not click with our instructor. Email communication in the beginning was good with reviews and videos, and then communication stopped. Our efforts with our instructor did not yield desired results. When I first wrote this review i gave much more detail about our situation. I no longer feel this is necessary. I heard from Liz very quickly following my review and she heard my concerns. We will be retaking the course with a different instructor in the next couple of months. I wanted this review, which originally was a 2-star, to reflect their willingness and determined effort to make things right for us. Thank you very much.

From daycare to training classes (including the virtual ones), Coventry is top notch. My daughter even said, "they seem to love Piper as much as we do!" Staff are always attentive and incredibly tuned in to your dog's experience. Hats off to Coventry!!

Liz and her team have been amazing. They have been supportive and provided a lot of emotional support and general knowledge regarding dog’s behaviors to help with our problematic dog. They have helped us provide our rescue some basic training and given us a lot of support in making the best decision regarding our dogs behaviors. They have been nothing but kind and supportive and informative. Can not recommend them enough

The Coventry School has been loving, caring, and absolutely vital to my puppy's training and development. From socialization to politeness to tricks, they have taught her incredibly well. Every time she goes there, she is so happy to go in, tail wagging so hard her little butt is swaying, excited to see all her furry and human friends. Cant say enough at how good Coventry is!

I adopted a dog about a year ago and was looking for a facility to help me with her basic manners. I found Coventry online and decided to sign her up for the "Beginners" course. This course not only helped with her manners but it really helped strengthen our new relationship. I enjoyed it so much I decided to sign her up for the next level of classes which is "Wonder Dog". Unfortunately, we were placed in a class with 3 highly reactive dogs which caused a lot of distraction and tension. I felt like the class was always on edge. The trainer had to build wall barriers in order to keep the dogs from seeing each other to prevent barking and aggressive outbursts. They ended up pulling some of the dogs out of the course but I wish they had done it sooner so I could feel like I got more out of the course.

They love dogs here. Our puppy has been attending puppy day care and it has been fantastic. She is getting trained and having fun. Haven't tried any other places but the Coventry school was recommended by our vet and we are very happy with the quality, service and overall facility and team that cares and trains our little puppy

The absolute best Day Care and Training in the DC/Baltimore Area. The staff and trainers really get to know your dog. They don't follow a corporate script but apply their vast behavior knowledge to each dogs individuals case. My dog is now 5 and I constantly get asked about how/why he is so well behaved. I always say that Coventry did not only train the dog, but gave me the knowledge to continue reinforcing the behaviors long after our session were over.

Science and reward based classes for almost every dog training need. I'm only a few weeks in but I've been pleased with the trainer's positivity and teaching style. The dog likes it too.

I attended several sessions of a Cranky Canine class for aggressive dogs with a friend and her dog. All dogs in the class significantly improved in a short time. These trainers know what they are doing.

Excellent professionals who provide outstanding care for your dog. Is comforting to know when my dog goes to daycamp or boards overnight that he's receiving the same attention and care that he would get when he's at home.

I called just to get additional information on their services and the gentleman who answered was totally unprofessional. If this is how they treat a potential client, I certainly wouldn't take my dog there.
