Everyone at Hickory Ridge is wonderful and takes amazing care of my dog as if she is their own. I have been a client for many years. I highly recommend Dr. Parrish and her entire staff and would not take my baby anywhere else. Thank you :)

I have been coming here for years now. Dr. Parish took very good care of both of my cats. I was especially touched years ago when my oldest cat passed away. The staff were so gentle and supportive with her and I received a touching letter about my cat who had passed form Dr. Parish that I will always remember. They are amazing with my current cat as well. My cat is very nervous and upset when coming to the vet and they all they can to make her comfortable and never push her past her limits so that her stress is limited. I have even moved out of the Columbia area and will still continue coming here. They are wonderful.

The vets and the staff are excellent, kind, and caring. This is the best veterinary clinic that I’ve ever been to with my pets!

So my review is a little different then most….my dog isn’t like other dogs. She has severe ptsd that Is crippling to her quality of life. Thanks to a criminally abusive breeder my pittbull is terrified to leave our home and to have strangers touch her. We came to hickory ridge not expecting the kindness and individual attention we have received. I have had all members of their staff from techs and front desk to the vet herself take the time to really talk to me about my girl. They go far far out of their way to help me give her a good and safe life and I really appreciate that. I’ve never heard of a veterinarian that will SIT ON THE FLOOR AND DO YOUR DOGS EXAM AND CARE ON THE FLOOR WHILE THE OWNER HOLDS THE EMOTIONAL PET IN THEIR LAP. Something about me offering to have my husband lift my dog onto the table and her saying “no she is comfortable here we will come to her” really touched my heart. They will always have my recommendation and support for the love and special attention I feel they give each patient. They are so gentle and kind with my girl even though she is terrified of them and can’t be very nice in return. 10/10 all the way from me!

We had the best experience coming in for a yearly wellness exam for our cat. Both the tech and the veterinarian were extremely welcoming and friendly, we felt thoroughly listened to and very well taken care of! A fantastic experience.

I love that Brie (my dog) gets SO excited to go to the vet! She can’t wait to go & comes home just as happy. Doesn’t matter if it is a check up or if Brie is boarding with them while we go on vacation. That is one of the best indicators of the care & kindness she receives at Hickory Ridge Animal Hospital. Brie loves Dr. Parrish and all her friends on Staff.

Dr. Parrish provided excellent care to my two cats as they went through multiple health problems over the years. She was very compassionate and supportive, taking as much time as we needed to understand medical information and options. She also worked with multiple specialists to coordinate care for one of the cats.

Visited yesterday for the first time and loved it immediately. So did my puppy! The location is serene and beautiful with a large shady yard, huge trees and even some benches in the shade. Plenty of parking. On entering, Julia and Emily made us feel welcome right away, and helped my puppy feel relaxed and happy with treats and snuggles. All of the young women who work there are very gentle and patient, and exude experience with animals. My puppy and I will be happy to return! ETA: My dog has now been a patient here for 2 years and we continue to receive top notch service and care at every visit. So glad we chose them to be our vet!

Dr. Parish is the most professional, compassionate, knowledgeable, & understanding Vet I’ve ever encountered in my 50 years. I drive 45 min to see her & pass at least 10 Vets in the process. She also worked with me in my times of financial instability. My dogs & I love Dr. Parish & her staff is stellar!

Dr. Mulford goes out of her way to make sure you understand things—very thorough. The staff are great.

The veterinarian was so kind. They stayed and answered all of my questions and it was clear they knew exactly what they were talking about. I appreciated how thoughtful and nice everyone was at every step of the way. From the veterinarian tech who came to take my cat into the clinic to the vet who stayed to help me understand her care. It was a great visit.

A wonderfully compassionate and knowledgeable practice which my whole family has used for over 8 years for all of our numerous dogs and cats (currently 6). Since my first vet retired and my second vet moved too far for my carsick prone dog (whom is undergoing heartworm treatment), I have been in search of a vet that I like and trust for my three cats and two dogs. Hickory Ridge is that vet and I'm so glad that I found them! Dr. Parrish is both kind and knowledgeable. Every communication with her has been informative and never feels rushed. She has even caught some issues that were missed by a previous vet. The entire staff there is wonderful. They are friendly, professional, and very accommodating. In these times when veterinarian offices are under so much stress staffing and dealing with the pandemic, HRAH is an absolute gem. I am looking forward to years of keeping my pets healthy and happy under the care of Hickory Ridge Animal Hospital.

Dr. Parrish and the vet techs are wonderful people who are so accommodating and genuinely care about our cats and a dog who is very scared of vets. They spent half an hour of their time just trying to give him cheez whiz and pet him on the shoulder to make him feel okay! And during pandemic times they have gone the extra mile to help make our animals feel comfortable and less stressed despite their own new difficulties of added safety protocols. Medicine prescriptions and pick up are super convenient and they respond so quickly to any questions we have or scheduling issues. I can't sing high enough praises for this animal hospital. ** update as of 8/3/2021 - HRAH continues to be what they were four years ago (see below) - compassionate, friendly, efficient, professional. It's great having a vet you can take your dog to - and leave your dog with - and have complete confidence. ** What a great find. Our "special needs" pooch has found a medical home and a staff of smart, competent, friendly, compassionate people. For treatment, counsel, and even boarding - they're the best we've seen after more than 20 years of dog ownership in Howard County.
