I'm so thankful and grateful to Dr. Keats and his staff for the incredibly compassionate and fantastic medical care that they provided to me and my dog after he was diagnosed with cancer. Sometimes, vets are good with an animal or people but not always both. I feel lucky to have found him and his staff as they clearly understand the needs of both.

If i could they would get ZERO stars. I had a surgical consult scheduled with the towson location so when the tumor they were supposed to do a consult on opened up on my dog I called to see if i should bring him to them or go to my normal …

I was really impressed with Kaitlyn at the Columbia facility when I picked up Bandit after his surgery. She was friendly, informative and most importantly patient with her explaining the care needed for Bandit at home. Thank you !!!! I was equally impressed with the updated info that Dr J relayed to us during the move from the Towson site to Colombia because of the dryer fire. I am happy to know that Towson site is up and running again.

I can't say enough positive things about Chesapeake Veterinary Surgical Specialists. My dog Lola went here for a major surgery and the care we received was amazing. Dr. Keats was so kind and took great care of her. Every time he called us he was so patient and informative. He answered all of our questions, you can truly tell he cares. Every interaction I have had has been pleasant. This includes scheduling with the surgical team, checking on Lola in the emergency room over night, to chatting with Helen at her post op skin checks. Every team member took great care of my pup and it meant a lot!

My dog and I had a great experience here: staff was helpful and knowledgeable, and I think they went above and beyond with their empathy. I'd had a terrible experience at Blue Pearl Rockville, trying to get my dog in for surgery, CVRC was not surprised, and was totally professional about addressing the concerns I had, which Blue Pearl wouldn't even talk to me about. CVRC was upfront about costs and billing. CVRC also got my dog in for surgery the DAY after our consultation, for which I'm so grateful because he was clearly in a lot of pain. They've been awesome about answering my questions post surgery as well. Thank goodness for these people!!

As always I am very satisfied with the care and caring I have received from The Chesapeake Veterinary Center in Columbia,. The appointment is taken care of promptly and the Dr. calls me with the diagnosis within a few minutes of the completion of the exam. I am grateful and pleased.

Helen and Dr. Keats make a wonderful team. They kept me informed and answered all of my phone calls and questions. I feel like my pup gets excellent care here.

Our cat Blondie boy had a rare (for cats) cancer, and the wonderful folks at Chesapeake Veterinary Surgical Specialists were able to get all the cancer and put Blondie back together. We are so grateful to them for saving Blondie for us.

Before the pandemic, my dog tore his knee and needed surgery. Throughout the stages of COVID, the staff at CVSS Columbia was super helpful, informative, and patient. Dr. Keats, Helen, and Robin have been wonderful throughout this whole ordeal and I appreciate their thoroughness. The customer service here is superb! Now my pup is a happy pup!

Overall visit was okay. Surgery went well. No need to fill out paperwork ahead of time because they ask you all the questions over the phone before the appt. Email before appt is not specific to your pet. Advises no food regardless of situation. When asking doctor about it, states she could have had food. Prefer to see pets without humans. I think they use it as an excuse not to deal with people. Would not let me in to use restroom knowing I traveled an hour to get there. Sent me to grocery store down the road but let the door dash delivery person in.

Five ++ Stars. Dr Keats and the staff are incredible. Our dog has thyroid cancer and Dr Keats and his staff took such good care of her. Incredibly professional, compassionate, transparent, and most important communicative. Dr Keats personally called me on a regular basis for updates. It meant a great deal to us. I couldn’t be happier with the service we received from CVSS. Worth every penny. Thank you Dr Keats and staff!! We are forever grateful to you all for saving our sweet Annabelle’s life.

Were very hesitant to leave our special needs pooch in a kennel, but had no other choice. The dog was treated right and the kennel kept us updated with pictures. Would highly recommend this place.

This facility is wonderful. Dr Keats is very thorough, and his assistant Helen is the best. My little guy has a few orthopedic issues and I feel confident that Dr Keats will do the very best for him. I am so pleased I found these guys.
