Very personable and professional staff. They took very good care of my dog, and communicated with me when they said they would. I would highly recommend.

Do not bother. Find another vet. Please for the sake of your pets find another vet. This vet office has to be one of the most money hungry unprofessional places I’ve ever endured. My puppy was hit by a car and the first things to come out of their mouth was a $500 deposit and then raised it to $1,000 due to her condition. Then they provided the worst care didn’t try at all and kept hounding for a deposit more focused on that than her care. And she passed due to her injury’s. They sent me a sorry for your loss card written in blue highlighter and it just showed how little they cared. They wanted their money and did not truly care for my loss. Then today I called to get the update on their ashes and they told us, he was under the wrong last name and they had 2 cocoas in for ashes. My dog was a girl. How do you mix that up. That’s not a common mistake. It’s a lack of caring and it’s been a month since we paid for her ashes with no call. Who knows if they gave my dogs ashes away to a different owner because of this mistake. It’s emotionally traumatizing. This vet office is again money hungry and so self absorbent in the money that comes into the building and do not care for the pets at all. Do not come here find another vet please. Do better Catonsville Emergency vet clinic.

We brought our sick dog Bronco in on a Wednesday who was not eating, diaharia, and severely dehydrated. They did an x-ray and sent him home with nausea meds. After 2 days and $550 later he was no better, maybe even worse. We took him back and they did another X-ray and blood work. Then they discovered there was a blockage in his intestine. The Dr said he needed surgery. We advised them we were unable to cover the cost and they didn't seem to care at all. They said well you have to figure out something, and just offered the option of the credit card or scratchpay payment plan. We advised them we did not get approved for those options and they still didn't care. We also asked them to give us a plan on their own and they refused and said we don't do long-term payment options, but still wanted to know how we were gonna pay them. We ended up having to surrender him because we could not afford the services. My daughter cried all night. The staff is unprofessional, and could care less about your financial situations. I do not recommend this place.

The front desk staff is very unfriendly/seems to HATE their job. It was clear from the moment we arrived we were an irritation as customers. The vet techs are unprofessional, and inexperienced. The one woman who didn’t care what was going on with our dog got in my dogs face immediately without saying anything to her on the floor to open her mouth to check her gums , at her level causing her to bite.. …What a mess. Again, They didn’t seem to care much about what was going on. They were im personable and wanted to get in and out of the room as quick as possible. I was trying to make conversation and explain that our dog was a rescue who was abused and they didn’t acknowledge me much or take much precaution. I did like the doctor, but our dog is still having severe diarrhea which is why we were told to bring her in by our vet who was concerned about her exam. So, we will have to go somewhere else now to get another opinion since we were sent home with bland diet instructions and anti nausea meds after her lab work was normal. It was a very negative experience over all and waiting 3 hours to be seen. I have never met front desk staff who seems to hate their job as much as the woman I interacted with did. She barely looked at me , was irritated with any questions I had, and told me wait time would “be awhile.” A few times. The woman who checked us out was also very cold and acted as we bothered her. They were all very cold besides the doctor. We will not be returning, and the bed side manner of the staff here is gross which makes you feel bad especially when you have a sick animal.

My dogs came inside from a potty break in the yard at 12am. My lab was freaking out pawing at her face and bleeding, she was running around the house & threw up a large pile of foamy blood. I rushed her to this vet cause I googled and it was closest to home - although I had never been there since we recently moved to the area. When arriving the young lady @the counter was very nice, gave me a pager and said I could wait inside or in my car. We couldn’t have waited more than 15 minutes. The vet was very kind as she examined my dogs mouth and quickly found and removed a stick lodged in the back, across the bridge of her mouth. My dog wouldn’t even let me look in her mouth when we were still home! They didn’t even charge me for the visit! I have NEVER had that happen at any vet, and this is an emergency vet!! They clearly want to help animals not just gouge you - in you and your animals time of need. Kandi and I Thank you guys sooo much! Was a great experience and I know if any of my 4 pets are ever in need of emergency care this is where we will be going!

This is a awful place to take you four legged loved ones. When I took my (Mr Baby) a cat. I was faced with one Doctor no assistant that can at least check your loved one. No I had to drive 26 miles to Columbia MD. To see a vet that had time to see Mr Baby.

Dr Munday was wonderful in the care she gave my sweet Gabby. The outcome was very sad for me but the care givers were compassionate, patients, and understanding.

This place was recommended by my vet. They gave amazing care to my very ill cat. The vets and nurses were incredibly knowledgeable and compassionate. I did have a wait in the patient room, but it wasn't too long. It was also cheaper than they had initially estimated, which I was really grateful. They really care about the animals here. They even asked me to email them with updates and photos of my cat so they could see how he was doing in a few weeks. I'll definitely be back here if my pets ever need emergency care.

The vet and staff were very kind and compassionate. Although they told me I might have to wait 2 hours or more, they took us in immediately and gave my dog the best care possible.

Staff were amazing. And kept us in the know on what was going on when we brought our older dog in for an emergency check up. We would recommend this location and staff to friends.

We brought our dog to this emergency vet and seen Dr Gruver and this was the best emergency vet ive ever been too, the office was clean, the staff was so caring, kind they really care about the animals here ???? the wait was a little long but were so so thankful she was seen, no other vet office would accept her because of full capacity from the pandemic, thank you so much for seeing our baby during this pandemic and giving us peace of mind knowing she will be okay, another thing this emergency vet is reasonable compared to other places, thank you all again and happy holidays ???? ???? your furry patient "princess" -Nancy schaffer and Samantha

My cat was having some sudden health problems and the Pet ER was able to diagnose her when my regular vet overlooked it. Unfortunately they found out she had several mass’s that were cancer. The staff and doctors especially Dr Bryant we’re so nice and compassionate. I will forever be grateful that they found out what’s wrong and my girl doesn’t have to suffer anymore.

The Dr that saw my dog was great. But I called the hospital back a few days later regarding instructions on the medication and no one ever returned the call till this day.

Horrible experience never coming here again. The communication from the time I checked in to the time I left was horrible. The wait is ridiculous maybe 8 hour wait. Not to mention rude.

I woke up to a medical emergency with my kitten and was referred to Emergency Veterinary Clinic by my vet. When I called and gave them the information about my kitten's condition and the vet recommendation I was brushed off by the employee on the line. I was told to call back in a few hours because the office was too busy to deal with my case. When I asked for clarification on how long a "few hours" was (2 hours, 4 hours, 6 hours, etc) I was once again told to call back in "a few hours" and promptly taken off the line. I ended up taking my kitten to a competing animal hospital shortly after with a fever high enough to cause organ damage. Very glad I didn't wait the unspecified "few hours." I'm writing this review specifically because of the service I received from other veterinary offices and hospitals. I called about six separate offices. Five of those offices either: 1) Told me they did not have availability for my case, but referred me to another service in the area or 2) Added me to a queue to receive care in a few hours In an emergency these little things really go a long way to help pets and pet owners. Though I may not have been able to receive care at the majority of these locations, I either had another lead OR a guaranteed place in line in a few hours. If Emergency Veterinary Clinic is too busy to see patients I would highly recommend implementing either a queue system for emergency cases OR recommend other services in the area. That way they don't cause pet owners in emergency situations to feel burned or lost while dealing with a crisis.

Horrible. They was no help to my dog after I’ve been there since 7:45am. Told me my dog was not in critical need. Sent me away at 3pm with anxiety pills. And told me to call back in 2 hours to see if they had room to do an X-ray on a dog that is in pain. The lady Claudia on the phone said “ Your dog is difficult” I said he is in pain and scared! Called back an hour later. Told me that I could bring him in but I will wait again for 7-10 hours! Told me they are “ just like a human hospital” I said you are not Sent away in the ER when you are in pain! She had no compassion, not tact!!! I will not be returning here ever again!!! I will be sending an email to the head person in charge. I am very unpleased! And can not fathom the idea of her unprofessionalism.

This facility cares about animals. Though out of the three times I visited, two of my pets had to be put down, I was always treated with respect and my animal treated with dignity. Simple: a good place.

Waited in my truck to have my cat seen. Informed them it was a black ford explorer, while I was sitting in the back seat to calm my pet lady came out walked right past my truck which was the only black vehicle present at the time and went back inside. I then called and said she must not have seen me in the back seat and I was out front and was told she would be out. 15 mins later I’m still waiting for someone to come back out.

I would not even give them one star except I had to to leave a review! Took my lethargic dog at 6:45 on a Sunday morning. The first thing they asked for was my credit card. After giving them my credit card information, my dogs information, they told me a tech will be out shortly. Waited for about 10 minutes and an employee was walking in so we told her we’ve been waiting for a technician. About three minutes later one came out and looked at my dog and said that they didn’t have A doctor until 10:00. Never heard of a 24 hour animal hospital without a doctor! Then the tech told me that there was a dog with a gunshot, another dog with his lungs filling up with fluid and another one that they had to perform CPR three times on. So I probably should take my dog somewhere else! They recommended we take the dog to Columbia. Upon arrival in Columbia they took my dog back immediately! Then they asked for my dogs information. Did not ask for a credit card until the end! The outcome was not what I was expecting, but the staff was truly amazing! Do yourself and your pet a favor and Take your pet to the Pet+ER in Columbia MD!

Have been using this vet ER for 30+ years as have many of my friends but this business has gone down the tubes. They are constantly understaffed making “wait times” 2-10 hours where they expect you to sit in their parking lot with your sick or injured animal for countless hours waiting to be seen. They are not a “drop off service”- even with a credit card on file you can not leave your pet for triage as other area ER vets. Staff is not flexible at all on this - very poor system.
