I love ❤ this place so far, everytime I take my puppy in (3x's week) the staff is always so happy to see him. He gives them kisses which is usually only for me,but it let's me know he's happy & looking forward to a great day

My Pepper was a customer for over seven plus years with grooming and boarding services. I had a very bad experience with the owner this morning. I had an appointment scheduled this morning. I called on Friday to see if any availability open. I informed the owner that I arrive approximately 10:30am on Saturday, today. He agreed. However when I arrived this morning, he was very hostile towards me.He yelled at me like I am a little girl. This is very unprofessional. Very disappointed and angry customer.

I have taken my dog here a couple times for daycare and he always comes home tired but happy. I can tell it's helping him practice his socialization skills because he can read dogs better at the dog park now. Before he would avoid most dogs and only want to play ball. Now he joins in to chase and reciprocates when dogs approach to play. I do wish they sent pictures or had a camera you could watch like some other places, but they do tell you how it went when you pick up your dog. Sometimes they can be tricky to get ahold of on the phone. It could be because they are all out back with the dogs. Try calling again in an hour or so.

If you need a place to board or groom your dog… THIS IS IT!! Needed somewhere to board my dog while I was out of town for a week. The staff was phenomenal! They go above and beyond and you can tell they care about each of these animals like their own. Had Liz groom him during his stay and he was the most handsome boy! Will definitely be back here again!

Our pup loves coming here to play all day and comes home nice and tired. Keith and his team treat all the dogs like their own and really care about them - I recommend them to anyone who has a dog! Update: We've been coming here for well over a year now and now have 2 dogs. We don't bring them as often but when we do they love it and are treated so well. We've also boarded them a few times overnight when we have to travel without them and they've done very well - can't reccomend Keith and his team enough, it's the best daycare in the area. I've heard horror stories of dogs coming home bloody, hurt or sick from other daycares in the area but never here. If you love your pup bring them here and they'll be treated exactly how you want them to be.

I boarded both my dogs at Pooches & Purrs for 4 weeks when I had to go out of the country recently. I have two small dogs; Hirschel is a 12-year old with no eyes and Moonlight is a 6-year old that's been with me for about a year and just completed training to help her overcome some insecurities. Both were not ideal candidates for group play at daycare while boarding, but Renee, Keith and the staff at Pooches & Purrs welcomed them anyway and made some adjustments according to their needs. Midway through their stay, my older dog had some medical needs arise. They contacted a vet promptly, administered the medications and sent me brief progress reports about his recovery along the way which truly helped allay the anxiety and helplessness I felt from so far away. Their professionalism, experience and expertise put my mind at ease. By the time I returned, he was well and there was nothing left for me to administer or do. Both the dogs were given a nice bath + brush before I picked them up, and were healthy, happy and content. I'm very grateful for the attentiveness and care that they provided.

I fuel my truck at the Royal Farms next door. Every time l do l hear, either dogs crying and whimpering like their in pain or scared, or the staff yelling at them. You can't see anything because there's a privacy fence but l always hear planty....fyi.

The price is much below that of local comeptitors. The service is too notch, and dogs always seem to leave happy, and we'll exercised. I would highly recommend.

Our dog loves this place and the workers are super down-to-earth, friendly people who clearly enjoy and care for the dogs they watch. This place also has much better pricing than other doggie daycare throughout the city. I highly recommend here for boarding or doggie daycare.

Updated Review: My senior dog has been coming in for daycare three times a week now for over a year. I cannot say enough good things about the staff of Pooches and Purrs! They are super friendly and professional. I come in as early as 6:30 AM and they are already there, cleaning and sanitizing the place inside and out. My dog’s hair is long and has the tendency of absorbing strong odors. Yet he never comes home smelling bad. He also has white hair that gets dirty easily. And, you guessed it, I’ve never picked him up looking dirty from staying at Pooches and Purrs. The recent rainstorms left my dog’s hair in bad shape. I was waiting for payday so that I can take him to the groomers for a bath and haircut. So I was very surprised when I picked him up from daycare tonight all cleaned up and brushed nicely! The staff noticed he needed a bath and gave him one. When I offered to give the groomer something for the service, the owner turned down my offer. She said the groomers would sometimes do something like this voluntarily. Thank you so much, Pooches and Purrs! Original Review: My senior dog stays here twice a week for about 4 weeks now. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. They are keeping my dog downstairs in the office area instead of upstairs where all the active dogs play. I’m glad that they decided to do this since, at a different kennel, my dog‘s ear was bitten by rambunctious dogs and I had to take him to the vet myself. The staff from this other kennel never even noticed that my dog was in distressed. They ended up paying the vet bill of about $200 and I never went back to them. So far I have nothing to complain about Pooches and Purrs. They are even open as early as 6:30 AM on weekdays for pet parents like myself that needs to drop off our fur babies very early indeed!

The first red flag... no tour of the facility. The 2nd red flag... no photos of them during their stay The 3rd red flag... no live web cam to look in. This was the 2nd time I used P&P for overnight boarding. The 1st time was for 5 nights. When I picked the dogs up they were extremely happy to see us and smiling, but they seemed skittish. I shrugged it off that they missed us and were upset that we left them. Fast forward 2 months. We boarded them again with P&P for 13 nights. I gave clear instructions on how to feed them. When I picked them up, they were clean. They had been groomed and looked and smelled great. They were oddly calm. One of my dogs had an injury to his nose. We were never told about this minor injury or how it happened. I gave specific feeding instructions, and provided extra food for one extra feeding because we weren’t sure if we’d get to them in time the day we got home from vacation (we did get there in time). When we picked them up, we should have had 3 baggies of dry food and one can of wet remaining. Explain to me why we had 6 cans of wet and only one bag of dry left? NOT HAPPY. All of my dogs lost weight while there. All of my dogs were parched when we got them. When we got home they drank non stop and drained the water bowl. My dogs will NOT be going back here. I believe they treat their daycare dogs much better than their boarders.
