Belvedere Veterinary Center Baltimore, Maryland

I followed Dr. Moulder from Jacksonville Vet to Belvedere. He is kind and gentle with my dogs. I love how he sits on the floor with them to be non threatening. It’s a great vet!

My wife and I moved to Baltimore last year with 1 year old cats and this friendly, detail-oriented vet really put us at ease. From the check in process to the intake and debrief, they were inquisitive and so so so thorough - after all our conversation I felt like they knew our cats nearly as well as we did. Our cats were (shockingly) relatively unphased even after blood work, so upvotes all around :)

I have consistently seen 2 vets at Belvedere and both have been wonderful as have all vet techs. My dog is reactive to other dogs and the staff at Belevedere make sure we always go in the back entrance and that no other dogs are around. They are always ready with a pet, kind word, and peanut butter to help sooth my dog's nerves (and mine).

It is was easy to get an appointment for the first time! They treated my dog well when she arrived. Overall good experience.

They are the best veterinarian in Baltimore. They were patient with me, speak Spanish and are very caring and professional with the animals. They did an excellent job in helping me get the paperwork done so I could travel with Kevin overseas. Thank you, you are the best!

Even though we weren't able to receive care for our beloved pets, we received all the information we needed to choose a near by Pet ER. I really appreciate all the helpful staff during such a stressful time.

Everyone at Belvedere is the best I would not trust my fur babies with anyone else. They are caring and go above and beyond to help your dogs especially my senior girl. Thank you a million times!!!!

I love the staff at Belvedere, I can tell they really care about my pets. They're always willing to keep trying until they figure out what's going on with them and the most effective treatments to get and keep them healthy.

The veterinarians and assistants were very kind, gentle, and thorough with my kitty's exam and shots. They asked me a lot of questions about his diet, etc., listened well, and sent him off with vaccinations, clipped claws, and a clean bill of health with minimal trauma to the little guy.

Update: 8/26/2021 Took one cat in for a general checkup + vaccines and the doctor and staff were very nice. The facilities were very clean and up to date. It took a little extra time to be checked in but you can wait in your car in the back so it was no big deal. Everyone was masked which was good. Old review: I took both my cats here for deworming; the staff and doctors were very nice over the phone. I could not see the facilities as you are required to drop the cats off at the front vestibule which is good as they are protecting everyone from covid interactions.

Brought in both my kittens' for their first trip to the vet. The veterinarian and vet tech were not only very competent but careful, gentle and caring. Great experience.

I was able to get in touch with the office however they were booked for appointments for a puppies first shots but did refer me to another vet office in the area.

The doctor called my wife the day after to check on the dogs progress. It's the little things that matter.

Belvedere is consistently the best vet’s office around. I have been bringing my anxious GSD mix here for several years and they treat her as if she is their own every time. In fact, she’s become very friendly with the staff and actually relaxes during nail trim appointments now! It’s worth noting I’ve had positive interactions with all the vets here, but Dr. Moulder remains our favorite! If I ever walk in with a concern, I ALWAYS walk away feeling relieved. The professionalism and attention to detail is unmatched. As long as I live in Baltimore, I will never go anywhere else.

I took my cat to Belvedere for an appointment with Dr Moulder in January 2019. She was screaming in pain anytime she tried to eat, even when I blended her food, and it was obvious she had dental issues. Dr. Moulder dismissed my concern for her teeth/mouth and instead prescribed her pain meds (which I was to insert a syringe into her mouth - the same cat who was in pain when she ate). He ordered an abdominal ultrasound because her kidney functioning levels were off. He suspected she had a congenital kidney defect, which she did not. Several hundred dollars later my cat still was not eating and I was told she had IBS. I took her to a different vet who confirmed she needed several teeth extracted, had an infection from her bad teeth and needed to be hospitalized for several days for fluids and IV antibiotics. I can only speak from my experience but I will never take a pet there again.

They've always been able to help us with our puppy when we've been in a time crunch and squeeze us in when needed. The Doctor here is also very caring, and truly cares. We aren't pushed unnecessary services at this vet!

There’s no one else I’d trust with our pets. They have always gone above and beyond.

I took all 4 of my pets here for over a year. First, they presrcibed me heart worm medication and a seperate flea medication for both of my dogs with out even offering revolution which would cover both issues for a lower price. Then I had them do bloodwork on my cat because he had gotten very skinny and was peeing a lot. They somehow completly missed his hyper thyroid syndrome, which i had to have diagnosed at a seperate facility over a year later. When I contacted belvedere to prescribe his medication, they refused to do so without making an appointment for him even though I had emailed them the blood work that clearly shows he has a hyper thyroid. And now I get an email stating that even though all restrictions have been lifted in maryland, they still refuse to let you enter the facility with your pet, probably so they can do more shading, money grubbing antics where you cant be present to object. This center does not care about your pets, they only care about the money. I would not reccomend them to anyone.

I've now taken two of my dogs to Belvedere Veterinary. They take such good care of my animals, and I really appreciate how they take the time to explain any diagnosis and treatment with me to make sure I understand. I would 100% recommend them to other pet owners.

They used to be good, they expanded, now they are bad. They have a poor and unresponsive service and they charge an arm and a leg for it. It feels like a money trap.

The doctors and nurses and staff are all very patient and sweet with my anxious dog, and there's always parking in the adjacent lot. A good bit more expensive than my old vet in Clarksville, but it's a long drive now that we are in Bmore. Very much looking forward to being able to go in with my pup once Covid is over to make her more calm.

Just a lovely vet practice in every way: kind, caring people with an excellent understanding of animals and the people who love them. Highly recommend to anyone in search of care for their pet.

We have been bringing our dog to Dr. Amstalden for several years. She has done an excellent job diagnosing and treating the dog for several different health problems, always taking time to explain our options. Moreover, she expertly handled the examination and paperwork required when we transported our dog overseas.

I brought a stray kitty that needed help to this vet somewhat by accident (couldn't find a vet willing to take a new client during the pandemic) and I couldn't be happier with the experience. They took great care of the cat, were friendly and very informative, were able to give me all care costs up front, and the vet and all the techs were awesome. Plus they clearly take health and safety very seriously and I really appreciate that. We were so happy with the experience we are switching all of our pets to this vet.
