I took my dog there in December and I paid over 500.00.for blood work and test and fluids and left my baby with them all day. When I picked him up some 8 hrs later he was worse looking then when I dropped him off. I wasn't told what they thought was wrong or given any prognosis. I was told to go home and give my pet who has laid on their floor all day some antibiotics on an empty stomach. After a few days giving antibiotics and Waiting for them to work my pet began acting worse so I took him to Croydon animal hospital and the vet there looked at Arnold's blood work and said he was in liver failure. I called Arnold pet station and asked for a refund and Dr Portious refused and said she stands by her treatment. Does that sound like someone who really cares about you and your pet? The next step is the DVM board.

We never had problems with Arnold Pet Station until this recent visit. Upon arriving, they took my dog back for routine things, such as a heart-worm test and bordetella. Like many, our dog is like our child. I was extremely upset that upon coming out I was told by the tech that he had reacted in a way that lead to his neck being bruised. From speaking with the tech, it seemed as if my dog had jumped off the table. Which upon calling to clarify, they stated that he squirmed while the needle was in his neck for the heart worm test. Either way, this was definitely a communication issue from the business. If my dog was unable to be held by the techs, then I should have been informed so I could’ve helped to prevent this from ever happening. We have had our dog to numerous vets across different states, due to moving, and this has never once happened. I am very unimpressed with how they handled my dog and plan to seek out a different vet asap. Our dog’s front half of his neck is bruised from this incident.

At the beginning of the month, our dog was sick and stopped eating. Arnold Pet Station refused to see her but instead referred us to a nearby emergency veterinarian clinic. It turned out she had cancer and had to be put down that same day. We did appreciate the staff reaching out with a sympathy card. However, I do wish the cancer diagnosis would have been made at our pet's last check-up just two months ago in September.

Brought my dog Sandy in for her first checkup and flu vaccine. Vet and technician are kind and thorough. She’s an older dog with vision problems and arthritis. Vet had good suggestions for managing her health as she ages. I highly recommend.

We were so happy to be able to follow Dr. Porteous to Arnold Pet Station! Dr. Porteous is a fantastic diagnostician! She is always soft spoken and kind with our kitties. And I am so thankful for her honest and realistic approach as we care for our senior kitty with chronic health conditions.

They were amazing! I rescued a kitten yesterday and it had an eye infection and the ear infection. They were the only ones that would give me an appointment. Thank you so much.

Been going here for years and we love them. Great staff who care and remember you(and more importantly your furry friend) and their prices are really reasonable compared to most places. Highly recommend

Staff is so friendly. My kitten was so scared and they were as quick as possible. I also like that they are not pushy to over vaccinate/prescribe unnessesary things.

When I was concerned about a possible emergency situation with my mini doxie, Arnold Pet Station made time to see us that evening. All the staff was very friendly, caring, and calming in an anxious situation. The Vet was through in the care provided and made sound recommendations avoiding additional costs which were not needed. All questions were clearly answered in a manner I could understand. Thank you and kudos to Arnold Pet Station.

My pup absolutely LOVES Arnold Pet Station. We board him several times a year (mostly long weekends, but also for a week+) and he has always come home tired and HAPPY. When I pick him up, he doesn't even pay attention to me, he absolutely adores all the staff (especially Leah, she works in Kennel and with the vet)! We also use APS as our regular vet. The vet is attentive, very fair priced (highly recommend the membership as it's 2 free vet visits, free nail trim, and money back!), and very knowledgeable. I've never had to wait long during an appointment or boarding drop-off/pickup. We recently moved 40 minutes away and I still choose to bring our dog to APS. You won't regret it!

I went for an x ray for my pregnant dog to see how many pups to expect, they were great they got right to the point and didnt push to get shots or add things like i thought they would.. which was refreshing!! Some places try to add on things and say you need this or that... i didnt care for the covid steps they are taking if my dog wasnt so clingy they wanted to take my dog in alone and tbh i dont think that is okay.. people love their animal's and they want to be with them, but i get it covid is serious and should be treated as such. So all around i liked the visit and i would recommend everyone with a pet to go there.

Last Straw! Going elsewhere. They're always trying to upsell. The latest problem is that I was told in November you can buy 12 months worth of heart worm medication now, or buy 6 months now and come back in 6 months to get the rest. Six months goes by and now I'm told no, you can't buy the medication, you have to come in for a full exam. Last full exam I was told my dog has ehrlichia, the ONLY symptom of her ehrlichia... a positive ehrlichia test. Another vet told me she's likely a carrier, but without symptoms there's no need to do anything else, yet APS tries to upsell a bunch of other invasive and unnecessary tests. Early on they sold me dental cleaning that she really didn't need and then sent her home while she was completely disoriented, whimpering, and wobbly where she couldn't get into the car nor walk for hours.

Brought my dog in for the first time yesterday because they were the only vet that could get him in so quickly . They were amazing , didn’t try to gouge me on paying for unnecessary tests and were really reasonable and affordable. I was so impressed with them that I transferred all my pet records and my second dog to this vet and will become my permanent vet moving forward.

I cannot say enough great things about the Arnold Pet Station's great vet staff and wonderful veterinarian, Dr. Jeanette Porteous who treated my dear dog's eye infection that dramatically worsened -- on Saturday morning none the less. Ugh. Doing so for an owner and dog who was not even a regular client. After I explained my problem over the phone to them, they found an opening for this "panicky" sounding dog owner's dog immediately. Everyone was wonderful to us - even with my dog barking his "scared" bark as we waited in the car. Staff came and got Joey, and Dr. Porteous carefully examined him. She called me and we worked through possible scenarios, did some testing, provided medications, made recommendations for change, and Joey is already doing better a day later. All at a very fair price. In closing, our experience was wonderful, Joey came out the door doing his "happy dog" routine looking for treat, and I will come back here in a heartbeat if he needs help. Thank you so much Dr. Porteous and all of the folks who helped "my son" Joey. First team! Sincerely, E. Joseph Lamp, Ph.D.

Staff is always patient and helpful, they don't act rushed to get clients "done." The drs. are helpful in discussing issues and offering options.

We have used Arnold Pet Station since it’s inception with Dr Lee Carr . Although she has retired the staff and vets have been as caring and concerned about our dogs health. We frequently use the kennel also and find the staff very friendly and concerned that your pets stay is up to the highest standard .

Wonderful staff and Vet care... by all. We had our Cocoa, Lhasa Apso cared for there ( lost her two years ago ) she was 16 ) (Black and White), and now our newest member of our household Kingston, also a Lhasa Apso, ( 2.5 now - Brown/Tan ) tended to by the staff... always a positive experience. We are thankful we have excellent Vet care right here in Arnold.

Dr Laird, the techs, and the front desk staff are wonderful. Professional, friendly, responsive! We have a dog who is very frightened around anyone except her family and small circle of friends. APS handles her so well.

Our dogs have been patients at Arnold Pet Station for over two years. Dr. Stern and team are incredible. They’re patient, kind, and their love for animals is evident. We recently moved from the Arnold area to Southern Maryland, but make the drive to Arnold Pet Station, because the care our dogs receive there is one of a kind.
