Good stock of products for dogs and cats, which is what I buy.

I took my dog Fin for his 1st groom at a petco Annapolis. He had little matting under his ears and on his chest from his harness and I told them they could just do a closer shave in those spots. I got my receipt to go pay and Stephanie charged me for "15 minutes of dematting". And it says clearly right at the top of my receipt that I didn't want ANY dematting done on my dog (no dematting tools). So I told Stephanie and she said that she would change it to be called a "shave down and scissoring" which would still cost extra....When he was already getting a shavedown in those spots. I think I was trying to be tricked into paying for a more expensive groom because everywhere else I have been and including the groom shop I work at we shave out mattes if a customer is already asking for a shave down anyway. And I do brush my dog but because of covid he was a little overdue for a shave. Also, the ears were cut straight across instead of following the natural outline of the ear but I asked if she could fix it and she did. Anyway, the groom was decently done after that mess but they had to make the conversation really uncomfortable. So for those reasons I will wait to get a grooming appointment with my regular groomer and will not be back.

I went to this Petco for dog grooming, and I can only speak for Aryn as a groomer/stylist. She was AMAZING!! My dog, Max (poodle/maltese mix) was a tough case because his fur was locking up, matted in places, and was an overall mess from the pandemic and places not taking new clients. Aryn was gentle with him and he immediately warmed up to her. She talked me through what she would do to take care of his grooming needs and called me as soon as she finished so he wouldn’t have hang out in their kennel. Max is a senior dog and gets anxious, but he did great with Aryn. It’s clear she is gifted with animals and skilled as a pet groomer/stylist.

I just recently went to look at their parrot Selection, and as a bird lover I was very disappointed. The bird were only being feed SEEDS. If you don’t know about how bad seeds are for birds I will do a quick explanation, despite popular opinion seeds are very bad for birds. They can causes malnourishment, seeds do NOT have enough nutrients in them to keep a bird healthy. Seeds are the equivalent to sugar. The best thing to feed parrots are grain like Zupreem which they sell in their stores. I talk to two employees, the first one was completely understanding however was not in charge of the parrots, so they took me to the person that was. That person however told me the veteran they work with told them to feed the parrot the seed, and told me they could not change it. So petco please take better care of your pets. Also I am in no way blaming the employees they both seem to know what they were doing.

I AM SO ANGRY I CAME INTO THIS PETCO HOPING TO BUY A NEW FRIEND A NEW BEST BUDDY A NEW BFFL BUT WHEN I WENT TO LOOK AT THE FISH THE BEAUTIFUL FISH I SAW THEM EATING EACH OTHER WHO KNEW FISH COULD BE CANNIBALS MY CHILD WAS HEARTBROKEN HE WAS INCONSOLABLE HE WILL NEVER BE THE SAME I HAD TO TELL THAT LITTLE BOY THAT NEMO WAS NOT GOING TO EAT HIM HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT THAT PETCO HUH HOW DOES THAT MAKE YOU FEEL BECAUSE IT MAKES ME FEEL MAD I HOPE YOU WILL DO BETTER IN THE NEAR FUTURE THAT POOR FISH DID NOT DESERVE WHAT HAPPENED TO HIM DO BETTER PETCO DO BETTER

You got to love Petco (Although I wish they had some more pets in the store), if you own a pet you must. You learn to appreciate Petco when they have when you need and they have it now. Love the people who work here and love the service. Prices might be little higher, but not too much so it is store every pet owner must know.

As usual wonderful workers. I'm not giving 5 stars because we've bought the same food 11 times now and still have not received our free bag that comes with that promotion.

Clueless staff when it comes to cat adoption that they say they care about

The employees are really knowledgeable and happy to answer questions about pet care.

One of THE BEST AQUARIUM sections in the region! Great selection of fresh and saltwater fish, a few live plants, lots of supplies other shops don’t have. But the guy taking taking care of the tanks is friendly and knowledgeable.

Beats petsmart in regards to better food options for pets. Petsmart is a lot of your basic dog and cat foods but petco had a lot of higher quality brands.

We have had nothing but good experiences at this store, they groom our dog and the staff has always been helpful, and I truly appreciate the fact that they have been there through this pandemic to provide what we need for our pet. Well it has been a year since this post and I now have some concerns. I brought my pup there last week as I do about every 6 weeks and this time I dropped him off at 8 am (8:15 as they took 15 minutes to check someone in) and I was literally called at 8:53 to say that he was finished. It usually takes between 21/2 - 31/2 hours. it wasn't even 45 minutes!! I asked if he received the usual services and they said yes. After having him home for a week now, I can assure you it was rushed through. He has spots were his hair is longer, his nails were not done well. If you know me you know how much I treasure my pup. I left PetSmart for the same reasons where I felt like my puppy was not valued. How do you even give a pup a good bath in that amount of time? I am sooo very disappointed, and now question the safety of my pet. Add insult to injury it still cost me the same amount of money for a less than 45 minute grooming appt..

Staff is awesome and always flluy stocked with you need for your pet

We have been coming here for fish and Jack is really friendly, helpful and somehow always remembers us. Cashiers have always been friendly too.

Petco was amazing, so many great people and awesome animals to look at from the birds to the ferrets. Grooming is top-notch, food is top notch and the staff really care!

The people who work in the store are very helpful with anything your pet May need and I if you have trouble finding something just ask someone who works in the store there happy to help you ????????

I usually come in to replenish my bar. The guys are really nice & help me to my car. They went up on there beer recently put I still go to them.
