Hoffman Animal Hospital Annapolis, Maryland

This is far and away the best vet in the area. Not only are they reasonably priced, it is the only vet I've seen with this quality of care. They ensure your pets are stressed as little as possible, and go out of their way to create a great experience.

I have had a great experience with all the techs and doctors here. The front staff has been nice to . I think the entire hospital staff counts when making a decision about your pets care. The approach to taking time to make sure you pet is not rushed and forced to do anything is so important. Dr Wheeler is amazing , I would always recommend thus hospital. Keebler hated the vet offices but when we started going to Hoffman’s this office was the only place he felt comfortable and safe. All the vets and techs got on the ground( he was a low rider dog) and showed him so much love.

Dr. Hoffman and her whole team are fabulous! She is very caring and responsive, and her whole staff is very knowledgeable and professional. We recommend her whenever someone asks us who our vet is.

Our family has been using Hoffman's for over 20 years. In the past 20 years we've had 9 dogs they have cared for and our youngest is currently 14 weeks. It started off small with just Dr. Hoffman and has grown over the years to at least 3 more Vets I know of. My Mom's fav is Dr. Hoffman (Our Bassett hound was featured on Mrs. Hoffman's wedding cake.) My personal favorite is Dr. Harkins even though each one of them is awesome! Not only have they grown just by adding more vet's they also offer many many more services such as doggy day care, drop off appts, home visits, Acupuncture, Herbal Chinese therapy, and they do their best to work with you. The only down side is they are pretty pricey!

They were very nice and caring with my kitten and my dog. I think they probably provide good care, but are very overpriced. They charged me $15 for three 100 mg trazodone tablets for my anxious dog. It just left a bad taste in my mouth because trazodone is a very cheap, very old antidepressant and costs about $18 for a 30 day supply for a human WITHOUT insurance. It made me very, very sad that they did this because I did like Dr. Greenwood a lot. I was told there was a prescribing or dispensing fee and that is why it was so expensive. I think that with everything going on in the world today I really just didn't want to have to deal with being taken advantage of on this level. It wasn't that I couldn't afford it. It was the principle and the ethics behind it.

We took our two cats there for a few years. They are very healthy and never required any additional care besides keeping their shots updated. About a month and a half ago we adopted a kitten from a shelter that needed more care than anticipated due to upper respiratory infection, lack of appetite, and a few other concerns. The kitten was seen at Hoffman over three visits in about five days due to the upper respiratory infection - she had already become a frequent visitor there. During her fourth appointment a few weeks after those first three, which was supposed to be a routine exam and vaccinations, we told them about our concerns - an itchy/flaky rash/spot on the back of her head, and ear contamination. They gave us medicine for an ear infection and noted the flaky spot behind her ear, but did not do any further testing of it - this rash ended up being a highly contagious ringworm infection that got me and seems to have infected our other two cats. I feel that this could have been avoided to some degree if patient zero - our new kitten - had been diagnosed and treated earlier. The worst part about it is how we were trying to set up yet another appointment to have this rash fully diagnosed and there was just a series of miscommunications and lack of coordination in trying to do so. I felt like they didn't want own up to their oversight, and were trying to somehow blame me for everything when my cat had four appointments with them already and yet they did not take the time to diagnose this in the first place. I recommend taking your pets somewhere else for care.

We recently moved to the area and wanted to establish veterinary care for our three pups. I have been to numerous vets across the US and can easily say this is by far the best veterinary care my pups have ever received. Taking three dogs to the vet can often times be a hassle, but saves time to do it all at once. Even so, the staff and vet took the time and patience to allow each dog a thorough exam. Two of my dogs are more timid and afraid but the vet wanted to take her time to allow the dogs to get comfortable and make the vet a place they wanted to be, something I’ve never experienced before. I highly recommend this place to everyone!

Dr Hoffman is great. Only thing we don't like is how long it can take to get checked out after the appointment.

Hoffman Animal is wonderful! Had a last minute cancellation by my pet sitter just before Memorial Day Weekend and Hoffman thankfully was able to board my lab, Achilles. I know he had a great time playing in their doggie day care as he was exhausted that night I picked him up! It was much appreciated as you can imagine how rambunctious a 4 y/o black lab can be. From the check in process to the pick up, everything went smoothly and most importantly I had peace of mind he was being well taken care of while I was away. Highly recommend!

Very caring staff and doctors! They know you and your furry baby's name when you walk in. Even received a call from one of the doctors when I lost a beloved pet. ♥️ I recommend this veterinary hospital to friends.

My dog, Buddy, stepped on a bee and was stung on 7/2 around 5:30. He was clearly in pain and shaking his paw. They worked me in and immediately took him back to check him. The Vet Techs were excellent. Very caring, concerned and helpful. Dr. Greenwood was also compassionate and professional. He was given a prednisone shot, monitored for a bit and we were sent home with pain meds. They called the next morning to check on him and see if we had any questions. I live in Richmond and love my vet. If I lived here, I would definitely use Hoffman Animal Hospital. Five stars for care, efficiency, professionalism! Thank you all! He’s resting quietly!

In just the first 90 minutes of my little pug being a patient of Dr Hoffman's She has received more & better care than she did in a full year at her last vet. I am so glad I did my homework, read reviews and found Dr. Hoffman, It's easy to see that she truly wants the very best for my baby and will treat her as if she were her own, that's the kind of vet all of our babies deserve to have. My Sweet girl had a repeated UTI for over a year while being treated by our old vet. Her teeth were insufficiently cleaned and the decay ignored by the old vet causing her immune system to be suppressed allowing the enterococcus UTI to repeatedly take over. This was suspected in our 1st visit with Dr Hoffman. Her surgery to remove all 17 of the decayed rotted teeth was done and she's been UTI free ever since. Choosing Dr. Hoffman and her AMAZING staff was the very best decision we could have made for our girl. I only wish I had looked for her sooner. You cannot go wrong with Tbis Veterinary hospital, Dr. Hoffman is 100% absolutely the best Vet around! I wouldn't trust Chichi's healthcare needs to anyone else. - Our heartfelt Thanks go out to Dr. Hoffman and her entire wonderful warm and friendly staff..

I’ve had nothing but positive experiences at Hoffman Animal Hospital. Everyone from the front desk to the vet techs are so sweet and welcoming. My puppy has been seen by Dr. Harkins and Dr. Wheeler who are equally great. It makes me very happy knowing my sweet Nola is in good hands.

Dr. Wheeler is why we drive 30 mins to get to HAH. She listens thoughtfully to concerns, informs thoroughly, and goes out of her way for the care of your pet and your family. She's everything a vet should be - intelligent / a thoughtful problem solver and advocate / caring. The staff is wonderful as well and the daycare program is our Scottie's home away from home. I know they are watching him and will keep him safe and happy. Top notch and worth the drive.
