I have been using Annapolis Veterinary Hospital to care for my three dogs for many years.. Dr. Julie Benson is an outstanding Veterinary Doctor and has done a wonderful job keeping my dogs healthy and happy. I strongly recommend the Hospital and their staff for taking care of your animals

I have been visiting GAVH since the start of the pandemic with my now 6 year old dog. We transferred hospitals because they were closer to where we live now, I had heard good things, and my dog has severe allergies that are difficult to treat. I can say that my dog’s health has improved since we started going to GAVH, but that is effectively where all positive feedback stops. Beside manner here is the absolute worst of any business I have ever encountered sans maybe any cable company. They put us with a different vet and different techs every time who all offer conflicting advice. For awhile their phone system was down, and they used that as an excuse to be rude and non communicative to patients, including the time in the spring when my dog was diagnosed with cancer, and they literally returned him to my car without any prognosis or description of what was going on because their phones were broken. Like they couldn’t come outside (masked) to have a conversation with me?! Which brings me to say that I have never once left there with written discharge instructions and the techs look at me like I’m crazy for requesting such a thing. I thought that was the standard in veterinary medicine. There is zero empathy from anyone in this practice ever regarding my dog who, to me, is my closest family member. We are just dollar signs to them. They are definitely the most expensive vet in the area, and for the premium rates they charge, you absolutely do not get premium service.

My boys are my immediate family and I have complete faith in the professionalism constantly on offer at GAVH ensuring that they receive optimal care and consideration. I would not consider going elsewhere. Dr. Gerity -- and the entire team -- are exceptional. Most importantly, Declan and Rafferty agree!

Tawnie needed some of her teeth removed. The surgeon was so kind, and informative. He even clipped her claws while she was still under anesthesia, as a surprise to me, free of charge. Tawnie hates having her nails clipped, so it was surely a gift to her!

Our dear terrier became very ill with kidney failure. With hospitalization and home care treatments she recovered and is now marking 10 months active, happy life at 14 years old. So grateful to Dr Edge!

Dr. K. Anderson has been amazing with our pets. She knows our dog(s). Always takes care of everything, explains everything and seems to care about our current dog, Gracie, as much as we do. The caring and administering to Buster, who’s now in doggie heaven, was amazing.

My family has been cat clients since the 1990’s. I wouldn’t think of taking my current cat to any other vet. My kitty has had a number of medical and dental issues over this past year. All of these were addressed in a professional and caring manner. What I respect is that prior to giving a diagnosis, tests were performed to confirm the issue. In each situation, having the facts, enabled me to make a sound decision. Thank you for caring about my kitty’s health.

My family and I have been bringing our fur kids to GAVH for 30 years. I currently live in Catonsville and am more than happy to drive to Annapolis for, hands down, the best Doctors, Techs and staff in the business. I only trust GAVH with my dogs.

Because of recurring ear infections our Yorkie Sammy has been suffering from, my local Vet advised that I seek support from a specialist, specifically a Veterinarian Dermatologist. After some research I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Woodburn at GAVH. The day after I my local Vet sent my pets medical records to GAVH, I received a phone call from Dr. Woodburn. Dr. Woodburn then proceeded to spend an hour on the phone with me discussing my pet symptoms, possible causes and treatments. We have some great Vets at my local clinic but this level of support was truly outstanding. Yesterday Sammy, his older sister and I made the 2 hour drive to the clinic. The staff was great and Sammy seemed to make some new friends. Dr. Woodburn examined Sammy and continued the treatment that my local Vet had started. If you live in Annapolis, or every need a specialist, you cannot go wrong with GAVH and Dr. Woodburn. The headband started out as a bandana but Sammy decided to make some changes on all his own.

Dr. Edge and the entire staff have been professional, practical, compassionate and responsive to the needs of our senior dog. I really appreciate the follow up call from the vet after lab work or starting a new medication.

We have been GAVH for almost 40 years and have had nothing but great service by their Welcoming Staff at the Front Door to them greeting us in good times and in sad times. The doctors and staff are nothing but loving and caring for our pets (cats and dogs). We know they are always on the look out for any changes in observation in the office and lab results. My family and I have been using GAVH since 2004. We have always been able to count on compassionate and quality care. We are on our third dog..and we enjoy the facility, even more so it is a 5 minute drive from our house so if I need to get there for an urgent appointment.

GAVH was great in taking care of my 12 year old greyhound for years. They were great to deal with and provided accurate medical diagnosis and compassionate care.

My dog had an urgent eye issue, The staff were able to fit me in right away. The staff were very professional and courteous on the phone. The doctor was thorough, caring and just wonderful. I am so thankful to them and appreciative of the great care my dog received.

Greater Annapolis Veterinary Hospital is absolutely incredible. They have such dedicated staff and during Covid, they have drive-up appointments to keep themselves and us safe. Whenever I have questions for them, they take the time to explain procedures or symptoms my dog is having and never seem rushed to get me off the phone. I would recommend them to anyone.

I changed both my dogs from Hoffman Animal Hospital to here. The people are always super friendly and very helpful. They’re also budget conscious. So if you have a budget they will sometimes suggest other resources where you can get things done cheaper. It’s incredible. They truly have your pets best interest in mind and want to see your dog have a great life even if that means it isn’t benefiting them financially. That alone says all I need to know about this vet clinic!

I have been bringing my cats to GAVH for years. My first experience was with my cat that was suffering another UTI and it was Sunday and my regular vet clinic was closed so I checked around and discovered GAVH was open on Sundays so took her there. Previously, at my regular vet clinic, I had been told that "every time you bring her in, my entire staff has to suit up" because she fought so hard not to be touched by strangers. When I got to GAVH that Sunday, my cat just laid there and cooperated with her exam like I'd never seen her behave before. I've continued to take my cats to GAVH and just the other day when I had my Charlie in for a nail clipping I was told he was so "handsome and such a good boy!" Charlie is the baddest cat I ever had but that is a good example about how only "cat whisperers" work there! Hooray for GAVH and especially for Dr. Phillips!

Always organized, well run, great care, great follow up

GAVH has taken care of my dogs since 2010. A puppy I rescued in Puerto Rico was born with demodex. If not for the doctors, specifically, Dr. Kelly Anderson, diagnosis and thoughtful solutions and medication, she would not have lived. She is 10 years old now. My 14 year old dog has been healthy and is showing signs of age. She has a lump that needs to be aspirated monthly. They did not jump to the surgery route, they considered her age and decided surgery wasn’t in her best interest. The doctors always do what’s in the best interest of our girls, not for their bottom line. Appointments are on time, daytime emergencies are handled that day. Excellent quality dx and rx. Excellent communication with us parents. I’ve noticed some of their costs have come down. I highly recommend GAVH for quality care and compassionate doctors.

I have taken my birds to GAVH for years and have always had outstanding care. Dr. Eileen Manyin has always taken the time to explain and respond to any questions I have had about my birds' care and health. Highly recommend and the vet tech staff have always been careful and supportive as well.

I trust Greater Annapolis Vet Hospital. Dr. Duane Woodburn is wonderfully caring, knowledgeable, and professional. And the other Vets, vet tech staff, and receptionists are great as well. I recommend them to all my friends and neighbors!

Greater Annapolis Veterinary Hospital was not our normal Veterinarian when we got a new puppy. They are a larger practice, so we were able to get an appt right away for our puppies shots, unlike our other vet. Then, unexpectedly we had to take our puppy in because he was acting very sick. Before even seeing him prior, they got him right in and nursed him back to health. We are very grateful to GAVH and now intend to stay there and switch our other dog to be under their care. They are not only convenient, but loving and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend them!!
