This is a wonderful place, especially if it’s an emergency! Staff and Doctors are fabulous! While they all work together, all the billing is completely separate and completely confusing! Ask though, and they will explain! Wouldn’t hesitate to go again! Thank you so much for helping my “furry” friend.

Another great experience with AAVEC. They took good care of Cleo and the doctor and technicians routinely kept me abreast of his situation. Excellent discharge and follow up instructions. Thanks for being there.

My Dog hurt himself and got sick in the middle of the night / early morning. I took him to the hospital and they were very kind . The doctor explained everything to me , gave him medicine and he is slowly improving

We had the best experience at AAVEC with our dog, Bailey. She was so sick and dehydrated when we got there and we were so scared. The staff triaged her quickly and the doctor kept us updated every step of the way. They definitely comforted us during an extremely scary and overwhelming experience. Our girl is now home and active. She is running laps in the yard and barking at anything and everything. Just like she used to. We can not thank you all enough! If we ever have another pet emergency, AAVEC is the first place we’ll go.

Responsive to time sensitive situation and very good communication.

My dog was hit by a car yesterday. They saw us immediately assessed my little guy thoroughly and thanks to the doggie gods, he was injury free. The vets and techs had great communication with me and the examination but my mind at ease that he was going to be ok. Thanks so much to all of you who cared for Frankie yesterday

AAVEC is our go-to for emergency vet services and specialist services. We live more than an hour south of this facility but the doctors and emergency care provided are always done with care and compassion.

I was nervous about coming to an ER vet but they honestly were outstanding deff out did my expectations, I was so worried about my 8mth kitten—suffering from sucha bad ear infection they upfront gave me so many options(financial too) on how to handle it and I not only appreciate that but the fact they are so friendly and happy with the animals and even send pictures..idk it’s the little things that deff help esp in times of ugh. Deff so worth the drive and happy I came here, my poor kitty looked like he was on his death bed but came home bouncing around loving on me just couldn’t be happier❤️

It was New Years Day and every vet and emergency clinic we contacted was either closed or turning away patients. At AAVEC it was understandably a long wait from drop off and pick up-10 hrs as we were warmed it might be. Our dog, while listless and not eating, drinking, or moving, was not in a life or death situation and so was amongst the last to be fully evaluated. All that we knew during this period was that his vital signs were stable. Due to COVID restrictions, our contact with the staff was limited. The vet techs we met face to face were gentle and lovely. The Veterinarian, Dr Amy Delano, who we spoke with by phone, was kind, thorough, and very clear about the medications prescribed and the care needed to speed the healing process. We hope an emergency like this does not occur again. If it does, we would turn to AAVEC without hesitation.

Unfortunately we have made two visits in a year with our now 1yr 4mo beagle Baxter (one for out of control zoomies and now back pain). The staff here was so pleasant. They listened to us. I felt like my dog was really taken care of which means the world to me bc my dog is one of my children. You can tell when people care. I work in a hospital so I get the stressful conditions. Everything was explained well. So thank you for everything.

I had to bring my dog in for consuming a large amount of chocolate. They were extremely kind, and very helpful! They communicated with me throughout the few hours she was there. They took such great care of my pup!

This is the second time we have needed AAVEC. Both experiences have been amazing. This time our dog was having seizures, we drove from Calvert County on a Sunday night. We called ahead, they were waiting for us, the veterinarian called us within 10 minutes with a plan of care. They called again at 7am and again at 2pm for updates. We could not pick up our dog right away due to snowstorm and they reassured us he was in good care. Every person I talk to on the phone or in person is kind and compassionate. I cannot recommend this place enough to friends, and I am glad they are available for our late night emergencies.

They took good care of my cat and were open when almost everyone else was closed. Thank you AAVEC!

The level of care provided was bar none. It started with the call to them and their front line had incredible customer service skills, along with communication skills! Curbside, the vet technician came out and literally carried our 60lb+ GSP out of the car like he was a baby! And although he is a big baby, they catered to his imminent needs with grace and profession during a time when they knew he needed a little extra help. They were incredibly patient and compassionate. We are grateful for the veterinarians thoroughness and we appreciated the time they invested in keeping our pup out of surgery.

Arrived at 1 a.m. to a very responsive and caring staff. Everyone I spoke with throughout my dogs stay was very communicative and kind, and my pup is now right as rain! I feel very lucky to have found them!

All the vet techs were kind caring and compassionate. The ER vet took her time explaining good and bad with detail. I knew our 3 month old bull dog was in good hands. I am blessed and so thankful for everyone. ❤️❤️❤️

My husband and I were visiting from out of town when our dog broke her leg. We brought her to the doggie ER and got transferred to the surgery center. The care, communication and treatment was wonderful. Highly recommend!

They took great care of our dog who needed immediate surgery, we're very patient with us, and answered all our questions.

Had to take our young kitten in for an eye issue, dropped her off and they checked her out and called me and hooked her up with meds and referrals to a specialist, I am very pleased with the staff and the time in which it took for her to be treated, if and hopefully I won’t need to take any pets in for an emergency, I’ll be going there.

They have the magic touch with my sweet but nervous dog.

Everyone at this facility is great and extremely compassionate. No one ever wants to bring their pet to an emergency hospital but this hospital was a good experience for our family.

These folks consistently provide the highest standard of care for their patients. I’ve personally referred many clients from the general practice I work at to them for this reason. In addition, they always take stellar care of my pets. Not only did they save my dog’s life 5 years ago, they also have been excellent with care for my elderly cat as he enters the twilight of his life.
