The vet communicated clearly and thoroughly during the exam. She went the extra mile be calling with the results of the lab work on a Sunday so I didn't have to wait until Monday.

They’ve always taken care of my pets and I always recommend them to everyone that I know. I used to be a technician there a while back but had to unfortunately move down to Tx, and even working with them was a great experience and I learned a lot from everyone! A great place for growth and staff love their patients as if it were they’re own. HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I took my dog (Seymour) to VCA Old Town Animal Hospital for an emergent appointment after moving to Alexandria last fall. It was discovered that he had metastatic cancer, which was misdiagnosed by my previous vet. Dr. Delia went over the results and options with me very thoroughly, and even provided a couple of follow-up calls to check on Seymour and to see if I had any additional questions. Unfortunately, the cancer was quite advanced, and we had to put him down 3 weeks later. The entire VCA staff was extremely compassionate and respectful during this process. They even mailed a sympathy card with personalized messages a few weeks later. I would definitely come back once I decide to get another animal.

After this visit it will be my last visit. My baby has only gone to them but the ppl on the front desk are trash except for belkie... U want my money but u do no know how to make it work..I come fore a yearly exam don't come at me with a 600dollar treatment plan!!!

Very professional staff who are very interested in proving fantastic care for our pets. Very clean and well organized with covid restrictions. Mask required and you have to call from your car when you arrive. Staff will come to your car and escort your pet in while you remain in your car. Appointments are on time and they do their best to get your pet out quickly with great solutions for health issues your pet may have. We have complete confidence in the medical facility whose staff treat your pet with the absolute best care. They are a bit pricey which accounts for my 4 star rating. But can you put a price on your pets health care? Highly recommended.

Great local vet. Not the cheapest but convenient for those living in old town.

I have been taking my dogs to VCA for six years now. The doctors and techs at VCA have cared for them as if they were their own. I was so grateful to have their support when my dearest dog was aging and ultimately confronted a terminal illness. They helped us to get the highest quality extra time with our boy as we could. Our girl is now getting older and we are so glad to have veterinary care for her that we can trust. We’ve expanded our dog family by two in the last two years, and wouldn’t think of going anywhere else for their care, even though we’ve long since moved away from Alexandria. We are beyond grateful for everyone at VCA Old Town.

The staff communicated so well after my bunny's check-up. They texted and called a few times to make sure everything was ok and was going well. It was my first time and they even had a reduced price coupon that was an extra nice touch!

Dr. Baxter took care of my kitty and was very helpful and accessible.

It was a bit hard to find, even with a GPS .. it's located in a bit tight place, the parking lot is too small .. This is a heads up note for anyone who wants to take their pets for a check up. I took my pet the other day and it took me some time to find it (If you follow your GPS to the T, it should guide you to the right entrance, which unfortunately for me, I didn't, hence the diffeculty in finding it). Given how packed the parking lot was when I arrived, I noticed the service there was quick and thorough. I parked my car in an unmarked place, gave them a call to inform the front desk of my arrival, and gave them the description of my car. I didn't wait too long before a nurse showed up and took my pet. Then the doctor called me first asking what made me to bring my pet to the hospital. I gave her the reason why, and hung up. After a couple of minutes, the doctor showed up after checking my pet and told me her notes and how much the fees are, and left. Then the front desk called and took my card info to make the payment, and shortly after, my pet was in the car. The entire visit didn't go over 30 minutes, and I was on my way back home. Every one I met and talked to there was nice and professional and quick. And would like to tgank them for their great service. I highly recommend this place to have your pet(s) checked should you need to get them checked

I have been bringing my 3 year old lab to VCA Old Town for over a year and continue to be impressed with the level of care we receive at each visit, and even with follow-up calls and texts. Rory has a chronic medical condition and every individual is so compassionate, knowledgeable, patient, and truly goes the extra mile to ensure she is healthy and comfortable. They have done a phenomenal job developing a safe, efficient system during the pandemic that minimizes contact while also keeping owners fully informed. I trust them entirely with Rory’s care, and most importantly, Rory loves them too and gets so excited every time we pull into the parking lot. Thank you all for continuing to take such good care of us!

When you talk about having a hometown doctor for your dog this place is it. I have entrusted VCA with my pup Sailor continuously and they always treat him with love.

I had a great first-time experience here. They took me the same morning I called, everybody was super kind, their prices were reasonable, and their covid precautions were above and beyond.

First visit, just recently moved to the area and my dog was having some issues adjusting. The staff gathered general information and came and got my dog from my car in the parking lot, after the initial exam the vet called me and spent 30 minutes explaining what she thought and answered all questions I had. I really appreciated the time taken to discuss options and offer different plans not just telling me what I needed to do. I felt included and educated about what was going on. They also automatically applied a discount they had going on that I didn't even know about. I definitely will come back, I enjoyed my interaction!

My little puggle got conjunctivitus again (apparently it's common with the breed). And Dr. MacLean helped make it all better. She was a a great veterinarian, very fun and professional and explained a lot to me so that i understood. Will definitely be making her my primary.

The entire staff here is caring and supportive. They obviously love and understand animals, and also appreciate pet owners' cares and concerns. Thank you, Dr.s Henigan, Jung, Colligan and MacLean, and to Katie, Belky, Zayn, Monica, Lindsey, Jazmyne, Peyton, Sam, Ashton and Nevan.

My two kitties have been seeing Dr. Delia for more than two years. She is wonderful and always extremely helpful and responsive. The staff are super nice too!

The vets here are wonderful. Because we usually take the first available appointment, I think we have had appointments with every vet in this clinic. You cannot go wrong with any of them. And now during the pandemic, I thought it would be a disaster taking our cat in - but SURPRISE! it was GREAT! Do not hesitate to get your pet seen here. You just park and call in. They send someone out to get your pet. We had the back tailgate open and they just got the carrier with the cat, so we keep out distance the whole time. When they finish with the exam/treatment, the vet calls and explains everything. You talk with the administrative people and give them a credit card number. They bring out your pet and you are on your way.

I think they do a great job. But like most vets in the area, they are quite expensive.

They have curbside vet services. Review your pet's treatment plan, speak with veterinarian, and vet technicians, all from your vehicle. Your pet is returned to you without going into the office during these Covid times.

My visit with VCA Old Town Animal Hospital was fantastic. I enjoyed spending my time with the VCA team.

Staff is excellent. This was my first visit and I have nothing, but good things to say.

Wow I have finally found the most incredible vet practice! After coming from a horrible experience at my previous vet, this office is a breath of fresh air. They are extremely welcoming, polite, upfront about cost, and offer so many different modalities and treatments. They have incredible bedside manner, dr. Jung really took her time with my dog and discussing her care. I never felt rushed or like treatments were pushed on me for profit - which is what I encountered at my last vet. I was scared I couldn’t find a place like this and I’m so glad I did. Don’t even hesitate to bring your pet here! I wish I could give more than 5 stars.

If I could give 100 ⭐'s I would!! We brought in our daughter Tinkabell; who is a tea cup Yorkie mix; bc she was limping on her left leg & crying in pain! This was our first time here and the warmth, care, & compassion that we were given from the moment that we walked through the door until the time we left was very comforting. The entire staff was friendly and very helpful! I would DEFINITELY recommend to any parents in the DMV area for their children's/pets care!

Been so happy with vca old town with our pup. Take great care of our dog when they see him and always call to check in after they see him. Only flags are the parking lot is horrendous and sometimes it can be a bit before they come out and grab your animal to bring them inside but totally worth it for the level of care they provide.

I called to get some general information and the receptionist was rude, dismissive and entirely unhelpful. I then called Old Town Animal Hospital who could not have been more accommodating and friendly and also offers free first time wellness visits which is a bonus!

A good bunch of people work here. The Vets change frequently, but the care provided is excellent.
