Edited: Have been coming here for 6 months now. I am always very impressed by the staff. They're honest and always want the best for my dog. They are not like some of the other vets I've been to that always try and upsell you on something. Have had good experiences here with our dog! The staff were all friendly and handled our doggo with professionalism and respect.

Always friendly and somehow the staff remembers our pets' names even between long breaks between visits.

Only issue is staffing. But doctor Phoenix takes time with her patients and explains options for every situation. I never seen that kind of care before. Along with Roxanne and Kelly that give nothing less than 110% in supporting the pets. The only issue is they seem to be very short staffed at times. But the care seems to make up for it and the wait.

I called for info and ended up with an appointment for my kitty. They were very nice and helpful.

They have taken care of our pets for over 10 years and they always do their own best to accommodate any situation in a timely manner. The neighborhood is very lucky to have them.

This is my dogs primary vet, the doctors I speak with on the phone are super nice.They are good about telling me what might need to be done in the future and always treat my dog really good (He is always excited to see them). The only thing I don’t like is calling and speaking to the people that work the desk and schedule appointments they answer the phone rude with an attitude.

We love our vet! They are so good with making my cat feel comfortable and very easy to schedule with.

My dog was neutered at this hospital and they were very professional and provided exceptional service. They called throughout his recovery to check on him. I'm very pleased to have had Dr. Phoenix and the staff perform his surgery.

The best Veterinary Hospital I've ever dealt with. The staff is cheerful, informative, and incredibly professional. They truly take care of my animals like they were their own.

Scheduled my dog 3 weeks ago for this morning at 8:30 for his due vaccines and an X.ray. My wife took off work, we gave my dog Trazodone since he has PTST and now we got a phone call we cannot see your dog since we have no technician to sedate him!!! However, we can try seeing him! This is absolutely ridiculous and this place has got to get their stuff together and get more organized. Definitely not going back there anymore.

I am a foster for a local cat rescue and can't say enough kind things about how my foster kittens are always treated at this practice. My kitties always seem to end up cared for by Dr Phoenix and I really can't speak highly enough of her. She's cared for them through spay/neuter surgeries as well as multiple rounds of illness -- always the best care and it is quite obvious how much she cares for her patients. We appreciate you!

Can be pricey but the service is great. They have taken care of us every time. Enjoy their services and will take our pets there as long as we live around here.

I have to say, this has been the most mishandled, nonchalant and unprofessional I've ever seen this hospital. My dear pooch of 15 years, being a patient at Ft. Hunt Animal Hospital has passed away Christmas Eve. I noticed her breathing was irregular on the 23rd so I called their office and was informed no doctor would be in until 9AM. They did offer the option to go to the emergency room they recommended (RVRC) and that they would call me when a doctor comes in at 9AM. Well I'm glad we took her to the emergency room because we didn't hear back from Ft. Hunt until hours later, 10:30/11:00. We were informed at the emergency room that she had heart disease and pneumonia where fluid was leaking in her lungs.I'm very perplexed as to why Ft. Hunt hasn't noticed her heart disease and long heart murmur even the previous month taking her inane how bad the condition had got. Unfortunately, she passed away Christmas Eve. Christmas was very rough this year.We didn't even get a call from Ft. Hunt she's been a patient with them for 15 years smh. The Regional Veterinary Referral Center (emergency room) sent their calls (day of) and condolences through mail a DAY AFTER Christmas. The RVRC was very professional, sincere, empathetic and I thank them for everything in their power trying to save her. On the 29th our family just got a text from Ft. Hunt saying how she is doing since her visit at the emergency room. I'm very irritated at this point because to my knowledge the emergency room already sent her documents to Ft Hunt the day of if not the day after her passing .After 16 years of service with Ft. Hunt I would have at least expected our family to get a card or call from them. This center is very disorganize, nonchalant and unreliable. I’ll leave with this, Aside from changing vets like a revolving door, and not being very friendly.Thank you for the services you have provided to my furry family for 16 years but unfortunately, I will not be doing business with this establishment again.

We just moved here from out of state. We were recommended Fort Hunt Animal hospital by a friend and we weren't disappointed. Great service despite the current health situation. We were able to stay in our car and the techs came to us. They even took our dog in for his exam and called my cell phone to discuss his appointment. It was a much less stressful appointment that way! Very friendly staff and a great experience. I would definitely recommend.

Such a pleasant experience every time I visit. They are fast, clean, and well-organized. And of course, they love all their patients!

I feel theHospital is staffed with very inexperienced veterinarians. Also I feel they charge you for having a conversation with one of them regarding your pet. It is very disappointing and it appears as if money is the first thing on their mind as post to your pets help.

Took my dog in for an echocardiogram. Ft Hunt Animal Hospital was able to set up appointments within the week as opposed to other veterinarian hospitals in the area who were booked for months. Quick turnaround on results, respected COVID-19 guidelines.

Great experience when a gerbil emergency popped up right before I was to fly out of town. Helped me out in a pinch. Will definitely take my other pets there now! Great staff!

Our 3 year old female dog went in for a spay. *Please note* if you are not spaying a young puppy, you'll probably inccur the same "complex surgery" fee. We were charged double what was expected due to the "complex spay", to pay upon pick up. The doctor called the next day apologizing and said it was her fault the unexpected fees were added on and she didn't mention during our post-op call. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable. The only negative would be the ➡️ [hidden] extra fees on top of the very expensive services offered. I asked pricing questions every step of the way, to include 3 phone calls from the doctor confirming a $39 x-ray and despite my diligience - I still paid double what was expected. This was also combined with the spay/neuter voucher for reduced services. Overall, we would go back in an emergency, but not for any routine services.
