I came in to do a pre-op appointment to get my 10 month old American bulldog spayed. She gets nervous around the vet since being chipped and this time was no different. Instead of being patient with her the tech kept yanking at her collar and trying to force her mouth open, or body into a certain position before finally being prompted by the Vet to stop. The vet herself was kind and allowed me to assistant to lower my pup's anxiety. Cost of the spay was estimated at $890-$980! I will be taking her to Aniciria in Manassas instead and pay only $278.

Showed up with my pup knocking on deaths door... they didnt blink and took quick action to save him. I am forever thankful to Springfield Animal Hospital and their care for our dog.

It is so out of my way to travel but I go for the great professional grooming service. And my COCOA is so well cared for and beautiful after his grooming.

Terrible customer service. Wait time for call backs on follow up visits is a week..if u call them repeatedly! Been a long time customer, but they never seem to care about that. Rude on the phone. Just had a receptionist hamg up on me after asking to speak to Manager, so i can discuss my dogs condition and the lack of support im receiving. Smh. If u can go elsewhere, do so

I am so happy to have found this vet. They take great care of my new puppy and ensure he gets all of the love and care he needs. I have been able to learn quite a lot from them as a new pet owner.

I never leave reviews on Google however today I was blown away , I was worried about my molly but my heart remained at ease ! The team is so dedicated and involved i never been to a vet/hospital that was so informative and wasn’t just searching for profit ! I was shocked today to hear from my mom how much we would be spending it kinda upset me like wow during these times I’m really spending ALOT . Though I knew the amount It still didn’t appeal to my bank account . Trinity the receptionist I guess heard the devastation in my voice right before I hung up she educated me briefly on pet insurance letting me know that I can get reimbursement that just shows me it’s not about profit with this hospital everyone genuinely are concerned . THANK YOU hope this comment helps someone else decide if they want to come here

Always treats our puppy Jade with care and love. They treat her like she's a member of their family. They always ensure she has the best treatment possible. Our concerns are always addressed and they help us better understand our puppy.

I have been to this place several times and the last two times have been a complete and utter disappointment. I trusted this place to care for my cat who has been suffering from something that no one has been able to tell me no how much $$ I have spent or willing to spend. Right now my cat is suffering a respiratory infection that occurred after a visit, why? Never has my cat suffered from any infection and now I’m helpless watching my cat suffer. As a pet owner you expect vets to sympathize and sincerely care because pets are part of your family and to see negative results, well no more.

It was a nice smooth process . You call and they come out and get your pet , They do what you asked for then they call and you give them payment information and they bring your pet out to you . Service and people working there have always been great .

Everyone is always so great. The doctor that sees my cat is always so gentle and kind. I'm very appreciative of that bc my cat gets very anxious.

First visit with my dog and it was a stellar visit! They were attentive and had a great protocol for safety measures during this pandemic. Their scheduling system is easy and they get back to you almost right away. Definitely going back as I think this place will give my pup the best attention she needs.

Been taking dogs here for over 20 years, staff is always courteous and helpful. Have never had any issue here at all, pricing is average and service is awesome

Springfield Animal Hospital is excellent! Dr. Overman and his staff provide wonderful quality service! When one of my four cats was having extreme medical problems Dr. Overman went out of his way to take care of our fur baby! The staff is knowledgeable, courteous and efficient. They have my highest recommendation.

Our family, going back to when I was a child in 1980, have been clients of Springfield Animal Hospital for over 40 years. Their care of our pets has always been the BEST! Their boarding services are excellent too. We only trust SAH with our furbabies.

Thwy always treat my puppy with so much care and really think about his needs for the treatment plan that he needed. I really appreciated them calling me to ask about his progress and how he was doing even after the visit.

Avoid Dr. Houghton (Houghman) at all costs. She’s the quintessential vet you expect to have you spend your money before telling you she can not diagnose your dog. She violated an ethical responsibility to properly inform me her skills in diagnosing eye complications in diabetic dogs was limited and that I may want to consult a specialist rather than spend 146 dollars on test for her not to be able to read them. I was livid to say the least. Horrible advice. I absolutely recommend that owners with pets that have ongoing medical issues such as diabetes go somewhere where they can trust the vets are not out to empty your pocket. They just lost a customer.

We've been going to this vet for 5 years and we love them. My dog loves the attention so much she drags me into the office. In addition to our menagerie of pets we have 2 human children so when it comes to cost they are reasonably priced and understanding. I've been to other vets where they try to pressure or guilt us into doing over the top procedures. Springfield Animal Hospital is really good about helping us make decisions that are best for our family. The pet boarding is also a great deal. I recommend this vet to anyone I know.

We have been taking our lab here since she was a puppy. We originally chose them because they are close to my house, but am glad we did. I have always been impressed with the professionalism and level of care that they put into each visit. Their prices are compatible to other local options, but the service is better. I would definitely recommend to anyone.

The vets and front desk girls are wonderful and welcoming. They love my dog and greet him by name when he comes in, and spoil him with lots of treats. The vets are knowledgable, caring, and have amazing follow up after difficult appointments. I highly recommend them!

Great staff, they take amazing care of my baby Cinnamonbun. He's always happy to go and see his friends. Thanks to them we figured out his wide array of allergies and were able to make his quality of life 100% better!

We have been bringing our dogs here since 1997 or so. The service has always been exceptional, and the rates at or below the average of local practices. Through the years, the staff has always been friendly, caring and professional. After my most recent visit, they have called multiple times just to see if my dog was doing ok. I appreciate the level of care they exhibit for the animals they treat.

They were there when I needed them. Took my dog in and was seen right away. What they lack is follow up and post visit plan. For them its money left on the table and for consumer there could be better continuity following visit.
