Pine Point Animal Hospital Scarborough, Maine

Have been going there for years. Excellent vets. I tried several in the Portland area before meeting the two women who started this practice at another vet practice. They and the other vets as well as the support staff are all competent and genuinely care about the animals under their care. I recommend them to anyone who needs care for their pets.

The professionalism and level of care for their patients is unmatched.

This review was a long time coming. I worked at Pine Point years ago, and it’s hard to review a place fairly when you are so much a part of it. I believe time and hindsight are always good. I moved away and recently came back but have not had to avail myself of their services beyond a euthanasia with Dr. James in lieu of Dr. Ann. That was my only experience with him and he was very compassionate and guided me when I had doubts as you sometimes do when saying goodbye to a beloved part of your family. I think this is a great hospital, though I don’t know the staff now beyond the vets. The staff were phenomenal when I worked there. Sadly they have all moved on. Dr. Katie and Dr. Ann own the practice. Dr. Ring is another long term vet there that I used to work with. She sees pretty much any animal that might walk in the door. Her approach is lovely, soft spoken, patient, kind and gentle with the animals. Always a bright presence. Always lovely to see. Dr. Katie - a fantastic vet, specializing in ferrets that folks come to from miles around. Kind, empathetic and great with the animals. A wonderful cat vet I found. And she has a fantastic sense of humor! Dr. Ann. What can I say about Dr. Ann? Fantastic vet like the others, again, like the others, patient, kind, empathetic, balances a huge patient load and always takes the time, often after hours, to check in on your pet, or get back to you if you had questions. To me, she is way more than that. I’ve had bunnies a long time. Dr. Ann and I bonded over a special bun in both of our lives. She taught me so much, is an amazing fount of knowledge about bunnies and other exotics. She coached me, cried with me, laughed with me, was kind enough to help me whenever I needed it, even allowing me into her personal off the job days. She was and continues to be a mentor to me. Including me in cases sometimes if she thought I could benefit a client with vet recommended resources, or even if it was just an interesting case I could learn from. When I needed help or one of my buns needed help. She was always there for me, saved my bacon and many of my buns over the years since I first met her. I saw Dr. Ann a short time ago, driving down the road and we waved to each other. Reminded me to take the time to write this when I’ve been so distracted with tumultuous life! I also bumped into a client of Pine Point the other day and we got to talking, mostly about Pine Point and Dr. Ann! All good of course. And another reminder to write this! I met many what I consider to be lifelong friends there, and am very grateful for having this veterinary practice and the people in it in my life. Dr. Ann especially, even though I’ve told her that repeatedly, anyone looking for good vets, or if you have exotics, check out Pine Point. Special shout out to Lisa and Thea at the front desk. What they don’t know about Pine Point no one does. Reliable hard working women that do their best in a very busy practice!

Everyone was so friendly and took such great care of our kitten, Chuckie. Dr. Katie is the best and we can’t wait to come back! She is knowledgeable, caring, and easy to talk to.

I just got a hamster and the vet that I use for my other fur babies does not handle anything other than dogs and cats. I was referred to Pine Point who got me on the schedule within a day for my hamster. She had an impacted cheek pouch but I wanted it looked at to be sure that it was not a tumor and how I can fix the impact. The staff were friendly and extremely helpful. I will definitely keep going there and highly recommend!

Highly recommend this place if you own ferrets. Dr. Katie is awesome and very knowledgeable in regards to them. I drive an hour to see her, she's the only one (and I've seen 3 others) who actually know about ferrets.

Always friendly, throrough and never rushed. My bunnies are at ease and given wonderful care.

The staff are very sweet and helpful, the doctor is incredibly informative and friendly.

Took dog and were quick

Called in because my cat is having trouble eating and the woman on the phone was incredibly empathetic and regretfully told me they don't have any appointments. They did however listen to my issues and refer me to a feline only vet that helped. If the staff answering phones is this compassionate and helpful, i imagine the entire clinic is wonderful.

A great place to bring your pets. Dr.Ann is the best. The whole staff is very compassionate. I highly recommend Pine Point Animal Hospital. Unfortunately I waited too long to bring my cat in for a check up. If I ever adopt another pet I would definitely bring it here.

Loved this place. The staff, the DR., The services offered. The doctor ever called after hours with my cats blood work results. There was no problem. She was "just following thru." Definitely very pleased.

We have been going to Dr. Katie for the last two years and she is always amazing! Recently we have had a sick little pup and have been to the vet 4 times in the last 3 weeks and all I can say is WOW! Dr. Ann had us come right in and helped us the first time which meant the world to us. She helped me stay calm and really explained everything. The last three were with Dr. Katie and she jumped in and (hopefully) have found the solution to make our little girl feel better!! I can't thank all the staff at Pine Point enough for helping us and being the best caregiver to our fur baby!!!
