Camp Bow Wow has been an amazing place for our boy Dewey, both for daycare and boarding! He absolutely loves coming here and hates to leave! They are also the only people that Dewey will allow to cut his nails without any issues. They really care about him and I always know he is in the best of hands when he is here!

If I could give zero stars I would. Caught on video was my friends dog being kicked by an employee. Stories are coming out, and these poor animals don’t deserve it. Nobody should bring their dogs here !

All of the staff is friendly and upbeat!! It is great to be able to drop my dog off with no worries, great piece of mind. The ability to have my dog groomed while she is there is a great service!

Everyone knows that Camp Bow Wow is the best Doggy Daycare in Portland for a reason. The space is clean, the staff is friendly and professional, and best of all my dog is treated like a literal prince there!

Not my experience but just saw a video of dogs being abused! Please don’t take your dogs here..

We LOVE Camp Bow Wow

Can’t say enough amazing things about Camp Bow Wow and its amazing staff. Our pup has been coming here for about a year now, and he absolutely loves it! We love the convenience of being able to watch him via cameras on their app — it gives us extra peace of mind. Our dog has stayed at Camp Bow Wow over a month this year so far (all days combined). Many of these stays have being for over a week at a time, and there’s never been an issue. He always comes back home happy — and you can often tell he even misses Camp Bow Wow (which is always a good sign). They also have daycare passes, which is great for days where we are busy or away, and a good option to get him to socialize with other dogs, too.

The people who work there are very nice and friendly, however, the facilities are small and over-crowded. They need more space and activities for the dogs. My dog was overwhelmed and spent most of the time wandering around.

Hi neighbors I wanted to share an experience I had bringing my 1 yo goldendoodle and my nanas 8 yo schnauzer to Camp Bow Wow Portland, Maine yesterday. Drop off was chaotic, nonetheless we expressed the dogs are nervous about grooming and we were trying out their place for the first time. We also asked when pickup would be and agreed on 12/1ish and they said they would call us. 1:00 rolls around and no call no update. I called and they said he hasn’t even gone in the tub yet. Long story short we got our dogs back just before 5pm!!! When I got home my puppy was starving, exhausted, stressed and clearly had been holding his pee in all day long. He is fully shaved down to the skin in multiple parts of his body (which I never asked for) his claws were filed incorrectly and his ears were not plucked. I spoke with the owner this morning on the phone about what happened and she ended up hanging up on me before I could even let her know aside from him being in isolation for 7 hours the service was not done properly. Beware of this place- don’t ever send your fur babies here! ☹️

simply amazing staff! our dog absolutely LOVES going to camp! she can’t get out of the car quick enough to get inside and play. the staff are attentive and engaged, and the live web cams are AWESOME! i get to check in our pup throughout the day…and she is WIPED at the end of the day. highly recommend!!!

Roxy seemed so happy playing at camp and the staff was super responsive to my check-in email during a 3-night boarding. Will definitely use again. Love how tired out my dog is at the end of the day! UPDATE: still using Camp Bow Wow to fill in when my dog walker isn’t available. Friendly caring staff, web cam to check on my dog, the availability of help with baths/nail trims, quick easy communication via email about reservations. My dog likes it there too!

I know my dogs are safe and happy when they go to camp. The staff knows every dog and really cares about them. My dogs can’t wait to get in there and that tells me they love it!

I almost ditched this review because I want to keep camp bow wow to myself. That would not be fair to this great organization. Friendly, helpful staff. Always a human present with all campers. The in and out area is great. Being able to remotely see my dog having a good time with the cameras. I trust the staff so I’ve rarely ever used the cameras but it’s nice when I’ve been away from the dogs for a bit.

An absolutely excellent place to bring your pet for just during the day or overnight they take excellent care of them your pet is completely safe and there are wonderful amenities that can be added , check them out

We walked in and had to leave instantly and they refused to refund and were un apologetic

Don't bring your dog here if your dog is very active. My dog was put in time-out most of the day, and one of the few times I did see him on camera, I watched someone grab him by the collar, pull him up in the air, and aggressively throw him out of the room. I called and explained what I saw and they denied it, saying it could have been another dog. I've heard similar comments from a friend. They told me he was being aggressive but I never saw that on camera. The rooms are also overcrowded. I saw 20+ dogs together in a room at once. My dog was very depressed when I picked him up from here after a 3-night board. Avoid this place unless your dog is extremely chill, which my dog is not.

The staff here are amazing! I’m always so impressed by the professionalism and kindness. My dog Coyote can be a bit of a grump at drop off but he always comes home happy and tired. Shoutout especially to Heather! Coyote has come for boarding, daycare and grooming, and I would recommend this place for all of that!

It’s a great peace of mind knowing your fur-baby is taken care of by people who take pride and love in their business. We highly recommend CampBowWow for truly caring for your pup while you do what you need to do.

Our dogs love to play at Camp Bow Wow. They can't wait to get out of the car when they visit. The grooming serves is also excellent. Staff is friendly and all know our dogs by name.

Harry loves going to Camp Bow Wow. It is clear everyone on staff cares a lot about the pups and it shows!

Bow Wow in Portland is a cute place, clean as a whistle, with fun staff who seem to be totally attentive to our little Gus. I recommend them highly.

Friendly staff, wonderful owners. I feel so comfortable leaving the most important soul in my life under their care each and every day . Emmett has attended since the day they opened their doors. He attends 4 days a week and I have only great experiences with them. They call me if Emmett has been acting "sick" or when if they find something unusual on him (such as a growth on his front leg (today) My good friends drive all the way from Augusta to leave him if they must go away for a day. He has received nothing but GREAT, top notch care. I have recommended this place to over 5 of my friends and they thank me all the time. We run into the staff in various parks around the city and Emmett is all over them. He NEVER jumps on ANYone except for the CBWGirls. I truly feel that many of them are part of my family. I won't name them all, but Jill and Gary are truly the nicest, caring people that I have had the pleasure to know. I think that most people feel the same way. Thanks guys!!!!
