What a great little store. The girl at the checkout was very knowledgeable about the food products as I was there to get some treats for the neighborhood dogs and I wanted to be sure it was the healthiest possible. I got my treats and I even got a kid to bake my own dog biscuits. It included a dog bone cookie cutter. I noticed they had some nice dog jackets on sale at 50% off. There was a slow yet steady stream of dogs dragging their owners in for services like it was Newbury Street. They were excited to get whatever treatment they convince their owners to have. A few mani-pedis and a few perms and a couple cut and colors and I thought I saw a tuck and roll! It's a must for a dog owners to stop in. PS, I don't own a dog but I have everything else dog bones, collar and a homemade rope leash. In

The staff here are so sweet! I love being able to walk in for nail trims it's honestly so convenient. The staff who do the grooming are always attentive to my dog and make sure she's okay during the process!

We just had Cally cut our young pup’s nails and she was great!! It was only the second time for our puppy, and she gave us great suggestions on how to make it a more enjoyable experience for our puppy the next time around. The service was quick and everyone was super friendly. Thank you!!

Great place to grab treats for you dog. They have a large variety of toys and snacks.

Went looking for some harnesses today. Didn’t see a certain brand so I asked one of the employees if they carried it. When the lady said “no” I then asked if they had any suggestions that were similar. She said “no, seems like your mind’s made up.” And walked away. The only reason this gets two stars and not one is because another woman there was very kind when I checked out with some treats. Bad attitudes ruin good opportunities and businesses like this.

Bayside Bark is my go-to choice for dog food, treats, and toys. The staff is friendly and helpful, and my dog likes the grain-free, limited ingredients foods.

Watching over a dog and his nails were in pretty bad shape so I walked into this place. Dog was super anxious and wouldn’t use the table so the worker (named Sam) let us hold and calm him on the floor to get it done. She even tried giving him treats. Super nice interactions with everyone and extremely accommodating for the situation. Even though he wasn’t super cooperative I felt like they really wanted to help make his life better and were willing to do what was needed. Thank you Sam!!

There are simply not enough good things to say about Michelle and her team of groomers! My sweet Miniature Poodles have been going to her for 16 years. She has taken such good care of them and clearly loves them like her own. Thank you Michelle ????❤️

Michelle and Sam provide the best grooming in Portland for Labradoodles and Cobberdogs. They are booked weeks in advance and well worth the wait.

Store looks like their going out of business for several months now. Always out of inventory, especially empty food shelves. No selection of harnesses or leashes. Hardly any toys. Service is below par. Not a small business to support. Going elsewhere.

I cannot possibly say enough wonderful things about the whole team at Bayside Bark. The groomers are amazing people. They are some of the most caring, compassionate, and patient people I know. I searched for years to find a groom shop that I felt comfortable enough with to leave my special needs dog, and I found it. My two little poodles have never looked better, and I trust the groomers SO much. These dogs are my whole heart, so I am so lucky to have these groomers in my life. They consistently go above and beyond. From squeezing my uncles elderly dog in to a full spa day for my 16 year old toy poodle birthday (complete with nail polish, and a bow in her hair), I have always been impressed. I'm always amazed at their efficiency, communication, and patience (even with my nippy little dog.). They are truly incredible. Bonus shout out to Brad and Brian (the owners) for being amazing, and for bringing an incredibly wonderful small business to the little city of Portland.

Bayside Bark is the only place around where I can find my dog's food Nature's Logic. They have a rewards program and the staff there is always super friendly.

Grooming lost appointment for my two dogs to be groomed. Virus caused cancellation of last appointment. Eventually got appointment for today. I rang bell several times per instructions from grooming staff. No response. Opened store door and loudly(because owner was ignoring my standing outside in pouring rain) asked if I was to bring dogs in or would someone come to door to get the dogs. Owner was instantly aggressive and hostile. He threw me out and cancelled grooming. Planet Dog was a class act. This guy will lose grooming and retail business. He was in the wrong again (after losing grooming appt after Covid). I feel badly for the grooming staff that they lost work and a 20% tip. Owner is totally off base. Deserves to have business fail. Sorry for good employees

They love animals and it shows! Doing a great job with social distancing too. Our dog loves going there to get groomed.

LOVE this place. First off, the owner Brian not only specially ordered food for us while we were in town, but chatted on the phone for awhile and made me feel so much better about our move to Portland. When we arrived, he had our food waiting as well as a sweet welcome bag with goodies. Brian remembered us every time we came in and was always so friendly and knowledgeable. Hands down our favorite pet store in Portland!

Really great experience having our dog bathed and groomed before our car trip home. Friendly staff, clean store and nice job on the bath. Definitely would recommend bringing your dog here.
