They are always loving and make sure your pet is well cared for. Very knowledgeable and always keeping you informed. Staff are very warm and friendly.

My Guinea pig passed today unexpectedly. I called around to get her cremated and the VCA staff were extremely empathetic and understanding of my situation. They got us in right and took care of my piggy. Great place.

Communication is not impressive. No multiple pet discount.

Wow, just wow. Just got off the phone with them and my dog is having trouble breathing and they won't see him because he isn't turning blue. (This dog is not with me because of a conflict with my other dog. The new owner called me...so don't ask why I am writing this review instead of taking him to Portland..he is on his way.) Take him to Portland is the response. Thank you. Appreciate it. My other dogs will not be going here anymore.

Update to original 1 Star Review: I was contacted by Alison at VCA Lewiston and was told, they were disappointed on hearing about the treatment I had received. Alison apologized and said, "With the pandemic there are precautions we need to take, but do not refuse care for people traveling from another state. We have recently become a VCA hospital, and our software system isn't fully compatible to offer some of the wellness plans they have, but this certainly would not impact our ability to see an emergency." Alison and I talked on the phone this morning and I was able to make an appointment to recheck my sweet injured pup to make sure he is healing properly and get the care he needs. I appreciate VCA Lewiston for responding to my complaint and willingness to see my pup to make sure my pup gets better during COVID times. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Recently moved to the area, I am extremely disappointed with the way I was treated and how they wouldn't look at my small dog who was viciously attacked and mauled by a large dog. I called on my way of taking my pup to them and the front desk informed me, " This veterinarian office is not allowing new patients regardless of if you were a client in another state or the situation". I tried to explain to her the situation thinking she would have compassion to the situation. She didn't have any compassion or sympathy. I even mentioned we had taken my pup to a VCA in another state. She told me they weren't affiliated with other states, the network wasn't combined, and they are independently owned. According to my Doctor in the state we had moved from, they were all connected. The VCA website states,  "With VCA's 6,000+ compassionate veterinarians, more than 600 board-certified specialists, and 1,000+ animal hospitals located in 46 US states and 5 Canadian provinces, you are always in good hands". -THIS PROVED TO BE NOT TRUE IN MY DOG'S SITUATION - AN EMERGENCY SITUATION. While they are advertising on Google they will take animals who are sick and need urgent help, THIS IS A LIE. I ended up having to drive my pup who was bleeding and in pain to an emergency clinic one hour away to get help for him. I DON'T recommend the VCA Veterinarian in Lewiston. They should lose their affiliation with the VCA network and people who are new to the area should be forewarned this VCA is not compassionate to an emergency situation.

Even though it is covid they got my dog in and fixed his badly broken claw all while being extremely busy. Waiting in the car is the hardest part but its worth it. The vet tech was wonderful and sweet to my poor boy and we have received follow ups from the vet as well.

I am new to the area and was looking for a new vet. After a not great experience at the Poland Vet, I decided to try here. Despite the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic and having never brought my cat here before, the staff was incredibly friendly, patient, and helpful. I also found them to be very reasonable as far as pricing. And although I ended up losing my cat over the weekend, two of the staff members (front desk and doctor) called to wish their condolences that following Monday after they received news from the emergency hospital of his passing. I never doubted their sincerity or willingness to help. Definitely recommend.

I had a feral cat that I had adopted off the street. She passed and I was an absolute mess. They handled my call with compassion and professional courtesy!

Everyone at the hospital is extremely compassionate with great knowledge, we absolutely love Dr. Burgess and the ENTIRE staff. It's awesome to know that they care for our fur babies as if they were their own.

New to this area but will never come back here . I understand being late but almost 20 minutes late when called to be told that they were running late . I told them i would probably cancel as these kittens were scared and had waited long enough was told that i could come inside with them . Which i had thought that meant right then but no it meant wait another 10 minutes then we will call you . When tech came out i told her i was told i could come in with them she rolled her eyes . I will NEVER come back or reccomend to anyone .So i emailed the person in the reply as i figured no response back

We LOVE VCA Lewiston. We particularly love seeing Denise and Dr. Burgess! We know our pets are in great hands when Denise is working, it puts us at ease, we know they are going to get all the love! The doctors are very informative, answer all of your questions and they are SO compassionate. They remember your pets and make calls to see how they are doing after appointments. 5 stars for customer service! I know they all work long hours and work so hard. Some other reviews mentioned a wait time but the wait is usually due to an emergency coming in which is 100% understandable. I’d want them to do the same if I were in the emergency situation. We have 4 cats, one of them hurt herself and required surgery, they were able to squeeze her in right away and they were so nice about every thing. We appreciate them so much. As far as cost, I believe it is comparable in the area, they always give you an estimate with a high end and low end for whatever procedure is recommended. Which is great to know ahead of time! If you have a new puppy or kitten they give you a puppy or kitten kit with great educational handouts and free flea, tick and heart worm meds. The groomer Beth is also wonderful!! She goes above and beyond! I can’t recommend VCA Lewiston enough!
