The staff is kind, considerate and helpful. My dog required emergency surgery. They took her in quickly, kept us updated and did an incredible job. During off hours we had also taken two of our cats to their emergency clinic over the last couple of years. Those past experiences were also amazing. They understand that your pets are your family.

The level of care was excellent. The cost was reasonable. The only reason this isn’t 5 stars is because of the 2 hour wait to get in.

I have only compliments for this Clinic. I know sometimes the waits are a bit long, but they treat everyone the same and when it is our turn, we all get the same excellent service from all of their employees. I often wonder how they find so many amazing veterinarians to staff there after hour service. We have been using this clinic for years.... for all our family pets. No matter what the issue is at hand. Several times our dogs had lived out their lives and needed kindness and compassion as they were put to sleep. Other times it was to help with an emergency issue that could not wait for regular hours. Each time the staff treated our animals and us with care and concern. As a pet owner this is so important to me. I will continue to use this Clinic as my after-hours service and highly recommend them to anyone who needs emergency care for their pet. I have recommended them many times to family, friends, and have their information posted in our Vacation Rental properties as well. It is a solid Five Stars from this family

Don't bring your animal here if you are poor. I had to put my cat down due to him having health issues. I signed a contract with them to make payments every month that I could afford. The next month instead of taking the payment amount that I agreed to they cleaned out my bank account. Making it so I couldn't pay my bills. I will never take another animal to this place ever again

The care and efficiency with which the Animal Emergency Clinic admitted, diagnosed and explained my Millie's "Old Dog Vestibular Syndrome" (an apparently common illness in older dogs & cats with an unknown origin, but short term effects which would resolve in a few days), was both professional and reassuring. When I called in a panic, afraid she had had a seizure or a stroke (I arrived home after being out for two hours, to find she could barely stand up without falling down, was wobbly and terrified of what was happening to her), we were able to get in immediately - had she had a stroke, time would have been of the essence. To see the doctor gently examine her while right down on the floor with my 15 year old pup, describe all of her symptoms and explain in detail how he arrived at his diagnosis (which of course I later looked up on a veterinary site and found the exact same points as he made)... well, you can imagine the relief I felt. Wish I could remember the veterinarian's name, as well as that of the vet tech. Both were just great.

Clinic was spotless. Despite being extremely busy and having to wait, it was well worth it. The veterinarian and all the staff were professional, courteous and compassionate. My dog even hugged the vet, something she rarely does. They prescribed new medication that seemed to help until I can get my dog into her regular vet today. I highly recommend h th em and would like to thank them for being so good to us through a very hard time.

I have needed to visit this clinic on two occasions in the past two years while camping in the community. Both times, my pooch and I were treated with compassion and respect by every member of the staff we encountered. The doctors are very knowledgeable and did not do unnecessary testing. I wish they were in my neighborhood. They are great!!

Sadly, we needed to go after hours for a very sick pet. The staff was very caring and professional. Unfortunately, my pet passed away, there was really nothing that could be done. I was only charged for a private cremation, and nothing else. I thought that was very nice. They facility is very clean and private. I would highly recommend.

I want to thank all that helped me and my sweet Bella at a time of need. They went above and beyond to explain everything and support me through a sad time. I appreciate each of you that take on our sadness when we walk in the room. For all you do, I thank you. Wendy Lord-Buck (Bella’s mom)

Today was probably the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do and the way everything was handled made it worse. My sons 10 month old cat abruptly become ill. We rushed him to there. After X-rays it showed he his bladder obstruction. Against every ounce of my being I had to surrender my sons cat. The bill for just overnight would have been $1200, plus $300 for the initial visit and X-rays. The bill would have only gotten bigger since he had to go between a vet and the emergency clinic for a few days. I wasn’t even allowed to say goodbye to him, they never brought him back to the room. Mind you I got to listen to him cry on the other side of the door and listen to staff say how much they would bring him home if they could. Nothing like kicking people while they are down. He is an amazing cat and I have a devastated 11 year old with autism all because payment plans through the clinic aren’t an option.

We needed a rabies vaccine for our Aussie after our regular vet couldn't book us until a couple months after his expired. Despite being as busy as vet clinics are currently, this clinic got our boy in so he could get his shot. We will definitely be back the next time we need a backup vet!

Not sure who i even spoke to on the phone just now...she answered "emergency" and that was it she was very short with me and seemed to have absolutely ZERO time to talk to me or even listen to what i had to say and the one question i did ask she had a tone as if i was bothering her meanwhile my dog is laying in pain and i dont have a ride at the moment and no insote into helping him with pain

My cat Milo was here back and forth for about four days with a severe urinary blockage and crystal buildup, and we thought we might lose him. He went in to see the staff at the Animal Emergency Clinic and they took great care of him at all hours. The techs and doctors are very kind, knowledgeable, and truly care about the animals. My kitty would not be here without their amazing hard work. I will highly recommend them to anyone if you ever have an emergency with your animals!

My dog who is my life fell ill and because her normal vet couldn’t see her for another week I brought her to quick care where she had some tests and antibiotics. I was instructed to bring her to the emergency vet If she did not show improvement the next day and that’s what I did. The staff were awful. At this point I was carrying my dog everywhere due to not being able to walk. The vet on duty asked me what was wrong with her like I had no right being there in the first place. I explained to her that she couldn’t walk she peed on herself she quit eating and drinking and refused her medication and that she was clearly in pain. My dog was suffering and they didn’t care. All the vet did during triage was poke her gums and told me there pink so there was nothing to worry about. At this time my poor baby had already started to turn yellow in her eyes and feet area and the vet was so rude and told me antibiotics take more then a day to work and said if you want us to look at her it will be a 3 hour wait but that she should be fine if I do what quick care told me to do. I left that and I brought my baby to an emergency department in southern Maine where they told me she had liver failure and that it was to progressed and I had to put my baby to sleep. My heart is so broken and I will never ever recommend that place for anyone. Shame on the vet on duty last night.

Very rude and unsympathetic receptionist. Had a bad situation and not only would she not check with specialists, she all but hung up on me.

Really impressed with this hospital. My cat had a really large Hematoma in her ear. They were really busy, but got us in quickly, got my cat into surgery, and took care of the underlying issues with the ear infections that caused the hematoma. They were very empathetic and understanding, and forwarded all notes to our regular vet which helped when we called to set up the appointment to set up to get her stitches removed. I am so grateful that there is a solid emergency vet close to where I live.

Though they are not our regular vet, we had to go here to put our little boy Max to sleep. He had been to our regular vet that day to be seen and that news wasn't good news. We were trying to decide what to do next but his condition got worse. After calling our regular vet (,Oxford Hills Animal Hospital), and finding out there was no one there to euthanize Max, the person there suggested Animal Emergency Clinic. We called and explained our situation and when I arrived I called to tell them I was there. At the time the parking lot was full and they were backed up several hours. They pushed me to the front of the line and got me right in. The staff that I dealt with were so compassionate and fully understood what I was feeling. They handled everything so professionally and made me feel so much better under the circumstances. I highly recommend the Animal Emergency Clinic to anyone in need of their services. They are the best in your worst time.

I had to go in because my cat was constipated. She had not pooped for three days. They brought me in right away and they helped her out. They were extremely descriptive in what I needed to do for her meds and were very helpful. Very kind and very efficient.

The time was approximately 2:30 am when I reached out to the Clinic. They listened to what was happening with my dog and told me to come right in. When I arrived, they took Prince's information and we went to a room and they did tests on him and a diagnosis was given. Meds were supplied. Payment was less than I expected which was great. We were back home within two hours. I have suggested this Clinic to my friends whose pet was ill.

I don't mind waiting but there is no communication or organization there. We waited over 2 hours to have our dog looked at.We were there before they opened and they go by who can get through calling first as you have to wait outside for them to call you in.We ended up leaving after several cars cars were taken in before us.As I said no communication or organization. Never again. It wouldn't take much effort to show a little empathy and let one know how things are progressing in there but to have to sit out in the lot with twenty other folks in the same boat is beyond ridiculous.

The Animal Emergency Clinic is amazing , they are so kind and helpful when your pet is in distress and immediately want to remedy the situation and they do their best to do that . Their rates are reasonable and offer all kinds of ways you can pay for your pets care . The staff and vets are very nice .

I recently had to receive the very difficult news about my dog. I will learn names better but was in crisis at the time. But the staff from the registrar, and tech to the doctor were all outstanding. Dr. Reagan was able to reach us and help us with this difficult decision. Very compassionate and professional crew.
