Great place to board your dog. Reasonably priced and open for a couple of hours for pickup.

Fantastic service, been going her for years. Dr. Chretien is the best, my dogs seem to love him! Clear communication and billing. No surprises. Wouldn't take my doggos anywhere else!

I need to revise this review because soon after leaving the review below, Dr. Magenis pretty much saved my dogs life. She, along with the medical surgeons and staff in Portland, acted swiftly to have a 7.5 x 10.5 mass removed from my dog's liver. Dr. Magenis was able to secure a spot for Max in Portland Emergency Hospital and get him right in for care. I'm so grateful to Dr. Magenis and her staff. My dog has been a patient of Dr. Magenis since moving to Maine one year ago. He's had some minor/senior liver issues and Dr. Magenis has been very communicative and helpful with his treatments. COVID has changed the way we do business and it's very upsetting for me (and most dog owners) not to be able to go into the office with dogs/cats. Dr. Magenis makes you feel better and she takes the time to chat with you and ensures she answers your questions. I've never seen the inside of this establishment because of COVID and I'm not pleased about that but I am happy with the doctor and staff. I do recommend their services.

Such a wonderful practice in every way! We love every doctor, tech, and staff member here, both on the veterinary side as well as boarding/grooming side. We will never take our three “fur kids” anywhere else: BBVA is the gold standard for outstanding pet care in Midcoast Maine!

I waited about a month to write this review but felt it was time. My dog is a rescue that came from multiple shelters and family’s. He does not like to go to the vet , and I let the staff at Bath Brunswick know this. I muzzled him the first time I brought him in they stated he was to nervous to do an exam and stated I need to reschedule and and give him anxiety med before his appointment, I did this brought him back in for the appointment muzzled and medicated he was mellow but they told me they felt was to stilled stressed. I explained to them that I can keep him muzzled and hold him they told me that he needed to like coming to vet and we needed to reschedule and added a second med. I expressed my concern about adding the second med and that when I first adopted him was able to hold him for his first exam. They insisted on not checking him out and rescheduling again and insisting he take both meds for the next appointment. I left their office frustrated and feeling like they did not understand that when he goes to the vet he feels uncomfortable like he may be going back to a shelter. I thought about it when I got home and became upset that they made it seem like he was to difficult to treat and was worried that his heart worm test was due and he needed his test and meds for both flea heartworm. I can control my dog he weighs 50 pounds I have no issue muzzling him for a vet appointment and refused to be forced to give him a second med. I also did not appreciate that they made me feel like because he was rescue and that he was not stable, I immediately called and told them I would not bring him back. I was able to get a vet come to my home to take his blood and examine him so he has everything he needs. The vet and vet tech we’re patient with him I muzzled him they were totally comfortable around him and commented what a sweet dog he was. I was some what disappointed that they informed me that the previous vet wrote in his file that he was aggressive and difficult. The 3 times I brought him to try to get his exam and heartworm and flea meds they did not even touch him they spent maybe 2 minutes looking at him and decided he was to difficult and insisted I come back with him medicated. They also charged me for an office visit all 3 times. All I can say now is not all dogs come from breeders or pet stores, some dogs come from shelters that rescued them from terrible situations and terrible people who should not have pets. These dogs can be smart lovable and sweet some take more time than others to feel comfortable some will always relate going to the vet as going back to the shelter. This does not make them bad dogs that get labeled difficult by a vet. My dog is lovable sweet and very smart and has over come his terrible life before being brought to the shelter. My heart was full when the vets that came to my home recognized that when they met him. I am glad I searched out other options instead of being told I had give him multiple meds and not being sure they would have examined him.

We've been with this practice for almost 4 years now and they have been absolutely wonderful. Kind, efficient, very competent, great communicators, and have given our three pets excellent care. I would recommend them, particularly Dr. Magenis, to anyone.

Every time we bring our pets to this place, something goes very wrong. The biggest problem is that none of the employees seem to be able to record a message or process a change that we ask for. When we arrive for our appointments, none of the information that we have previously given them over the phone or in person, was recorded and nothing was acted upon. Talking to them prior to an appointment is a waste of time because they either forget all the things you talked about or they just ignore you. This is a huge problem! It is a waste of our time and MONEY!

I have taken my DOGS to Bath-Brunswick Veterinary Associates for over 30 years. The Staff have always been attentive, kind, and supportive. I remember when Dr. Miranda Smith first came to BBVA, she is so knowledgeable, professional, and compassionate. Thank you all!

Best Vet I ever dealt with. Dr Smith was wonderful at handling my large dog, even when other vets wouldn't get near him. She has a level of compassion that is unrivalled. The whole staff was there for me at one of the worst times of my life. When I get my next companion you can bet I'll bring it here.

They’d rather let a dog sit and suffer over opening their doors a few minutes early.
