Northlake Veterinary Hospital Mandeville, Louisiana

We are new to the area and needed an emergency vet. Northlake was kind, professional and comprehensive. Within a year of moving to Northlake Vet we had to put our baby down and we couldn't have asked for a more positive experience in this difficult time for our family.

Northlake is a great emergency vet hospital. I took my puppy to Northlake after he consumed a poisonous plant and Banfield failed to treat him. The vets here are truly passionate about what they do and they seem to really care for the pets that go here. My puppy did not survive, we had him euthanized here after trying everything to save him. The vet was very supportive, brought him a chocolate jelly donut, and made the experience as good as it could have been given the circumstances. I felt the love for my family and for the loss of our puppy. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because if you’re not careful you can get charged as an emergency visit when they actually have open appointments. If they say to bring your pet in, ask if they have available appointments first. This will save you the $150-$200!

First time emergency visit. My cat has been sick for a few days. I brought him to my vet yesterday, my vet was closed today. & I called and they were able to take me in right away! My cat was excessively drooling & lethargic, doctor was very nice & explained everything well. Gave him some SQ fluids and some shots. My cat started feeling better on the way home. Very nice staff as well. Definitely recommend coming here if you have an emergency!

Northlake is the best on the northshore to be sure. However, the new facility seems to have lost its personal service to cherished at the original location. Each time I call it's like I'm a first time customer. Still, I'd rather have them care for my pets above any other location.

had to bring my dog in around 8pm, i really like the after hours vet... cant speak to the daytime staff but would definitely recommend them over medvet for after hours.

My fur baby was an emergency patient referred by my local veterinarian. The staff at Northlake treated my dog as if it were their own - Dr. Leonards stayed all night and kept me updated throughout the ordeal. They were amazing!!!!!!

If I could give them 100 stars I would. Dr Hymel and Dr Linn are both fantastic. Dr Hymel and Dr Linn treated us with compassion and generosity, going above and beyond to run tests genuinely trying to figure out what is going on with my pup. They are very fairly priced and their concern and compassion for your pup is their first priority, as opposed to $$ being the first priority. These doctors are a godsend in my opinion.

Had to take our dog for emergency visit and she had to be kept overnight. They saw her quickly and were really nice. Thanks for helping our pet.

I was referred here by my vet over the weekend. The care, compassion and just plain human decency was beyond belief. I honestly didn’t think this type of place existed. Sadly my pup didn’t make it, but he went under the care and compassionate hands of Dr. Mauberret. I will never be able to thank her enough for helping me through one of the most difficult days of my life. 10000% recommend this place and especially Dr. Mauberret.

I would give this veterinarian service 10 stars if we could! From the time they answer the phone I talk to a lady named Kaitlyn and told her we was on our way. They were waiting for us and seen our sweet little Chihuahua immediately. The veterinarian doctor and technician was absolutely professional and compassionate. They were extremely fair with her pricing for the test, examination and medication. I give my full recommendations for this veterinarian hospital. Open 24 hours a day is truly a blessing

I have been going to Northlake for probably 15 years. I have always found the staff compassionate and service very good. I used to have two golden retrievers but now their Dalton clientele has changed to two old Dachshunds and a very smart and hilarious Shitzu/Poodle/Yorkie mix. My old girl, Lilly, seemed to be on her deathbed recently but a quick trip and some inexpensive medicine did the job and she is running around like a teenager again.

If you are in need of professional Veterinary services then don't look any further than Northlake Vet Hospital. Dr.. Craig Guidry is top of the line. Highly Recommend.

Had a great experience with an emergency C-section with my small Chihuahua, Penelope. It was after 11PM yesterday (Monday) and the doctor on staff (Mallory Linn DVM) was on point. She took our puppy immediately, got her into surgery and we ended up with 2 healthy puppies and the mom (Penelope) came out of the surgery healthy. We knew we might have a difficult delivery, but Dr. Linn did everything perfectly. This was our FIRST visit to this vet and will start coming to the NorthShore from Metairie because we had such a great experience. Extremely fair in terms of cost (we were quote 1000 dollars more at 2 other places) and very happy with customer service and the actually surgery itself. A huge thank you to Dr. Linn and overnight staff!

Dr. Linn is absolutely the best. She saved our dog Belle and she wasn't even our vet at the time. She will always have a special place in our hearts for the love she showed our dog and us during such a scary time. Now all our fur babies are Dr. Linn's patients for life ♥️

We have used Dr Guidry and the Team at Northlake Veterinary for over 20 years. They sincerely care about us and our loved pets, and were always willing to go above and beyond for us. Their knowledge and compassion is incomparable. I highly recommend them!

This is by far the best vet hospital I have ever dealt with, especially during a very stressful and expensive event with my kitty. Dr. Leonard has been so transparent and has called at least once a day while my boy was in his care. He is upfront about prices, always giving me an accurate estimate and trying to go the most affordable route possible while maintaining the best care I’ve ever seen. He is knowledgeable, confident, and honest. I have never felt this way with any other vet. I feel this way about the entire team and I am very proud to see how their practice has grown over the years, they truly deserve to be called one of the best on the Northshore.

First time bringing Tiger to Northlake Vet Hospital for a check up and he did great bc the Vet was awesome. UPDATE: Tiger has been well taken care of and was once very timid but now thinks he's the king of the neighborhood. Spoiled rotten and well loved.

I took my puppy in last week for a foot injury and the experience was wonderful. Dr Guidry was sweet with my dog and patiently answered all my questions. He got down on the floor with her to give her pets and make her feel safe. Everyone from the receptionist to the vet tech and the doctor were all fantastic. The prices were super reasonable and they make it easier to give your pets the care they deserve. I highly recommend this clinic and will absolutely use their services again. Thank you all so much!

we just recently moved and it’s a little further away from Northlake than our recent residence, but I refuse to go anywhere else! they genuinely care for our fur babies and they are so great with them. I can always trust they will take good care of our pup when we board her.

We recently moved to La from Michigan. We were given recommendations of good Veterinarian Clinics near our home. Our baby, at that time, was only 1.5 pounds. It was time for her first vaccine, after breeder released her to us. As soon as we arrived home after visit to Vet, she began foaming from her mouth! We rushed her back and was told she was having a reaction to the vaccine & should have been pre medicated due to her size. As the Vet, why was that not done? The next day, she began drooling so much that her neck, legs and my clothes were wet, even though I was continuously wiping the drool. Of course her Vet was closed by that time. My hubby & I took her to a clinic an hour away! She have a fever of 102.8, she was dehydrated, and lethargic by the time we arrived. The Dr. explained what happened & why. He said the Dr in our town should have known proper protocol for small breed puppies. Despite the first clinic being 5 my minutes away, we will be driving an hour to Northlake instead! She deserves the best and if that means driving an hour to get there, that’s what we will do!

I have nothing but great things to say about this place. The prices are reasonable they don’t rack up the price with unnecessary procedures (which I believe A LOT of vets do). Our German Shepherd broke his nail so badly it had to be removed we called and they told us to come in (on a Saturday)and they removed the nail no charge. The last time this happened in California they charged $250 and put him under. Back to the review ... the whole staff - amazing. I highly recommend them. Obviously.

Dr Leonard & Dr Guidry are wonderful! They took excellent care of our sick babies. Dr Leonard called every day to provide an update. I highly recommend them. Great staff too!

I've been taking my animals here for years. Ever since I was a kid. As an adult I moved to the South shore and tried taking my animals to a few places down here for the convenience, but ultimately decided to start making the trip to the North shore for the friendly service and reasonable prices.
