Mia, one of our family felines, was torn up in a cat fight a couple nights ago. This morning her condition seemed worse, so I called Congress Animal Hospital; they were busy, but made time for us. Dr Jake Thibeaux was great, promptly evaluating and treating her wounds; and just as important, he gave me instructions how to continue the care at home. Thanks so much!

I've gone here for years, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. They're very kind and loving towards the animals who come to visit and will come up with the best affordable plan for your pets health.

I love this vet. They are so down to earth and caring. Every visit has been great. Even on the not so great visits, they made it bearable. Thx guys????

My dog has been to this clinic a few times before. I called to make an appointment because he was coughing up blood. Their first opening was two days away which was the only time I couldn’t bring him because I had a doctor appointment at the same time. The other time was almost a week away. He’s coughing up blood! You would think they could “fit him in”. Especially since he’s not a new patient. Won’t be going back! Too many other considerate vets in Lafayette. Made an immediate appointment with Lafayette Vet Care Center. They are great! Go there instead!

Thank you so much to them for helping me with my dog Sugar ???? they were so patient and kind and understanding, never even hesitated because of her breed. Just hands down amazing will recommend to everyone and will bring my animals here and only here in the future ❤️

Great service and reasonable prices!

These guys are THE BEST! We got a rescue dog when we first moved to Louisana and he came to us with Heartworms and Ringworms. The vets here were compasionate and honest; helping us navigate our new family members health concerns. Chazz is now and tip top shape and happily terrorizing his brother (Scotty) who also gets 5 star service from Congress. The vets here take time to go over all potentail treatment options and are up front with pricing. The staff is super responsive and quick when we ask for them to send records over to groomers, trainers and even other vets offices. We will be coming here for all our vet needs for years to come.

I've been with this pet hospital since I was a young girl with my parents. They've always been lovely, clean, and caring. They're also very affordable and took great care of my dogs when I brought them to be spayed.

Compassionate and competent care for our furr babies

All staff was great very nice, needed my boxer Jake vet checked just to be sure nothing was wrong with him. He received all his shots and checked out with no problems. The veterinarian Dr. Jake was more than willing to answer any questions that i had concerning my pet, wasn't in a hurry to leave the room, really great guy!!

2 stars for seemingly kind, but the compassion is lacking. Not sure if it was on Jake's end or the techs but either way, not good. 1st red flag: after receiving treatment I ended up having to bring my 13 year old cat in to be put down a year ago. (Not because of them) I had to wait, in the room with a distressed cat for 40 minutes before they came in. That's with an appointment! Of course they apologized. It was hard enough to do without that experience. 2nd and final : a day after getting my dog's vaccinations, she was lethargic and shaking. When I called, deeply concerned, Laura told me they had surgeries all day but I could bring her in and the techs would monitor her til Jake 'had a minute between surgeries" then he'd take a look at her. I begged that they just call me when a surgery was almost over and I could bring her to be seen. She insisted that they couldn't do that. Needless to say, I called another vet, with more reviews (4.9) and longer history. They were booked up but still took her right away. He gave her a steroid shot and benaydrl to counteract the reaction she was having. Extremely disappointed that they couldn't squeeze her in between surgeries without me dropping her off to wait.........with the techs. Schedued surgery is NOT en emergency! These animals are like family!

I am overwhelmed by the compassion and sympathy given by Doctor Jake and staff. Also their caring way of helping me with the logistics of saying goodbye to my fur baby. Thank you Congress Animal!

Great service and follow up

One day after my husband and I moved to Lafayette, my little dog Frankie died of old age. I had made an appointment for her the next day knowing they would likely recommend euthanasia but she didn't make it. They were incredibly compassionate and professional, especially considering that we had never used their services before and had not gotten to know or had a chance to examine my dog. They handled her remains with respect and care and were all very patient with me and my husband while we fell apart. The vet came out and introduced himself to us and I feel quite comfortable bringing my other dog in for his next vet visit.

Congress Animal Hospital always goes above and beyond in caring for our dogs. We have had some crazy situations in the last year with both of our dogs and Dr. Emily always takes the time to sit down with us, fully explain what is going on, answer our many questions, and help us decided how to move forward. Every staff member is a pleasure to interact with and they really do treat your pets like family.

Good care for my pet

We recently got a new cat, and needed the first round of shots to be taken care of. The vet was so sweet and friendly working with out little ambrose. Would recommend the business to anyone in need!

Dr. Jake Jhibodaux is very attentive to your needs and questions, and is quick and efficient.

We have been bringing our puppy to this location for over 1 year, and will continue to do so. Their customer service is amazing and the animals are well taken care of. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, the Veterinarians are caring and absolutely fantastic, the office is so clean and it always smells fresh. This place is amazing and I would definitely recommend Congress Animal Hospital to anyone looking for a Veterinarian for their family pet(s).

Dr. Jake and Dr. Emily are great with Max and always take time to answer questions. All the staff are great and always take great care of Max when we go out of town.

Way beyond 5 Stars, Dr. Jake and his staff are the best, everyone there is so friendly and attentive to all of your needs. We recently had to put one of our Great Danes to sleep, Dr Jake and the girls were the best, explained everything and when it was time everything went smoothly, Kahn went peacefully. Dr. Jake then said a prayer and helped get Kahn together to move him in our truck. Our Family strongly recommends Congress Animal Clinic. Thank you Dr. Jake and Staff. We love you guys.
