Dr and staff are just the best

Today was my first visit for getting my dog groomed and I would not recommend them for this service. Her actual hair cut isn’t great - very choppy/uneven. Also, they handed my dog back to me covered in urine. When I questioned the staff they were rude and refused to take accountability saying they “didn’t know what happened because the crate she was in was dry”. Totally unprofessional and unacceptable.

First I will focus on the positives of my MANY visits here. The doctor does know what his talking about and takes time to explain stuff and is honest enough with prices and all. Front desk and their “manager” need customer service training. Had an issue wanted to complain and fix it instead of doing a review. She wasn’t sorry or anything and I’m pretty sure she was talking to me like I was a kid??? Nothing got fixed no one was accountable in fact it seemed like it was my fault? Cool. Doctor apparently couldn’t get ahold of me so he calls my parents and bother them at their jobs for some reason? Second time he got through to my phone though I guess. Took about 3-4 hours for uti test and x rays.

Vet told me my cat had 0 problems and was 5 years old. I had a full blood work/inspection done. A few months later I had to take him to Metairie Hospital, he was there 5 days and died. They said he had been sick with liver disease for a while. THIS PLACE LIED TO ME and said my baby was great. Don't GO.

Dr. Chris Forstall is a good doctor. He really cares about the animals that he treats. I would recommend this veterinarian highly.

I LOVE this place. Best vet I've ever had out of the six I've been to (most out of state). The people are unbelievably nice, knowledgeable, clear, and professional. They handle things quickly, and are willing to answer any questions you have. They clearly care for your pets, and want you to feel comfortable as a pet parent with what they are doing/needs done. I was recommended this place by a friend instead of MSAH, and I could not be happier with the switch.

Dr. Chris is honest, capable, knowledgeable and reasonably priced. He's been taking care of my German Shepherd for 7 years and my two cats for 4 years. Won't go anywhere else!

My friend recommended this hospital to me..I brought my pup in for a neuter n heartworm check...The ladies behind the desk and the assistance were absolutely awesome..My dog was a lil scared to go in the office he is not used to goin out much...One of the girls came out to my car got my big boy out and into the hospital with ease..She was very experienced ....It tickled me to see how well she did with him....I am so very happy I found them...Prices are very reasonable and cars was A+...I will recommend all my clients to this hospital and we will be back...Thank you so much to the ladies at front desk to assistance to the doctors..You guys rock !!!!!❤❤

Been going there for years

The doctor of southshore animal hospital is great; however, the grooming department sucks. Our golden retriever was still wet upon pickup. And the groomer obviously had no clue how to groom a golden doodle, as she walked out the building completely shaved. I am truly appalled at the lack of experience of this groomer. I will not be using this groomer again.
