Petco Hammond, Louisiana

I was going to adopt a kitten and the woman with purrs of hope rescue was so rude to me and told me while going over my application that I needed to go to the kill shelter in hammond and they didn't have any pets for me. I have a loving safe home for a kitten and her mgr called me to see how my kitten was doing and she didn't even seem to care when I told her what the other woman did to me. Do not try to adopt from petco. It's from purrs of hope teacup and they're not worth the time. And to actually stand up there while she was going over my application she hurt my feelings a number of times and even my son walked away saying momma she's not gonna give us a kitty.

Customer service is not good did not great me ask for help didn’t receive any so I ask can I get assistance again with 2 workers side by side working on the same stock and all they could say is someone will be with u shortly instead of just saying that when I first ask for help will not return to this store again very poor customer service

Very friendly and very helpful staff. If you can't find it here, if you can't find it here, I wouldn't know where else look. But I am sure that they would help you find it.

Nice store lot of pet supplies

When I walked in the door I was greeted by some very friendly people. The young lady that helped me new exactly what I wanted and showed me where it was she was very helpful.

Good place to shop for dogs

Awesome store, well stocked, clean and Mr. Mike, the rep who wrang me up was fantastic, I purchased a dog tag and wanted engraving on it but I was not familiar with how the machine worked so he actually stood there the entire time and made sure I got exactly what I wanted on the tag, he could have virbally told me how to do it and went about his closing duties but he didn't and he is like that each time I go in there,of course that's why I keep going back, , my hats off to Mr Mike, someone please give that man a raise.

The lady that helps us had so much knowledge about the products we need and taking care of our fish friends. She was awesome! Very friendly. Got us exactly what we needed.

Very good selection for your furbaby, I had no problem finding the food that I needed for mine, and the staff is very nice, and helpful

This is my go to place for fish! They got salt water fish, and fresh water fish! Also got coral. And everything you could possibly need to set up up tank.

The sales people there were very knowledgeable and knew just what I was looking for. The store is always very clean, and the staff is always willing to help.

Found everything I was looking for. The guy behind the counter was very friendly and was able to answer my questions to make sure I had what I needed.

They have the friendliest employees and they are so helpful everytime I have been there! Helpful friendly and informative staff!

Rude grooming department! They lost my dog's records AGAIN! It's Sunday my vet isn't open so I can't just run by and get them.. my only day off and I go to get my dog groomed, had an appointment weeks ago! I was told I shouldn't have booked his appointment online... WTH that's the way I preferred to book it. I called 6 times to book it and no one answered the phone so I booked online! I will never use this company again for grooming my dog and I'll buy his food and everything else somewhere else! I wanted to give no stars but it wasn't an option! I refuse to use this store anymore this is the second time this has happened with his shot record! UPDATE MY LAST REVIEW, went to Petco today because my dog ???? loves this place... I will give them one more try before I decide to Never use them again. Today was definitely different than last time. I watched the girl type in my baby's information so maybe this time it won't be lost.. She wasn't rude and she knew my dog's name without me giving her any information like I said my dog loves this place..He has an appointment within a week so I will update my review after his appointment. Fingers crossed that the information isn't lost again. UPDATE: Well the appointment went great they haven't lost his paperwork yet so that's a plus. I'll continue to use them because my dog loves this place...

I love the variety of products they carry as well as being in the city I frequent often.

Bought a better, workers are always nice and eager to assist

I came here to look at the reptiles and a white male brown hair worker walked past me and pushed against me and I simply said please say excuse me and he had a horrible attitude and mocked me as he walked across the store, dramatically and flamboyantly yelling. This store needs to work on training their employees better for customer service. I’d give a 0 stars out of 5 if possible.

Waited over 30 minutes for help, asked and no one came there were only two other customers in the store and they were just window shopping, one of the male workers at the front register was standing there doing absolutely nothing and not assisting me at all after i asked him for help twice so I left without ever being helped or buying anything.

Prices are outrageous unfriendly workers

I can place an order and pick up what I need close to home and save time for other tasks.

The only reason I return to Petco is a wonderful person named Derek, The Animal Companion team member. He is tremendously knowledgeable and an extremely professional Petco employee. He always takes the time to answer questions no matter how simple or complicated. He makes great suggestions when trying to choose the best pet, clearly cares for the animals in his care and puts on a calm face after being embarrassingly scolded by George, a not so professional Petco employee. I will seek Derek out anytime I'm shopping in the store because I know I will be treated with the utmost respect and provided with the best customer service. He is truly a gem to have at Petco and for this reason, I return for all my pet needs.
