Staring plaza always takes great care of my Beast and King Henry! They’re always super professional, and when my dogs get baths they always come home smelling fresh and feeling so clean! They have amazing prices and even better service. I’ve been to many vets in Baton Rouge and I never have been happier than at staring plaza.

Most wonderful, caring people with the best prices.Believe me I know I have 9 cats and 2 dogs. I should know, LOL. ????????‍⚕️????

Dr Barryhill and staff have been caring our cat (adapted from a parking lot) for 8+ years including injuries, wounds (when she was younger and still outgoing), and complications from aging. Professional, kind, and always translating medical concepts in layman’s terms. Highly recommended!

After having a terrible experience at a vet around the corner, I was so happy to walk into Staring Plaza Veterinary Center and find it welcoming and professional. Dr. Barryhill and his staff treated our Biscuit with care. He was upfront about cost and he was patient with my many many questions. I only wish I had walked in sooner with our other dog. Thank you for providing great honest caring service.

Dr. Barryhill and staff have taken such great care of my Winston! They call to check on him after visits and Dr. Barryhill always makes sure to call me personally to explain findings of Winston's exams.

i’ve had multiple animals (all different kinds) for as long as i can remember. i love & cherish my pets & i just moved so i was looking for a new vet. the customer service was nice & they were all sweet & i trust they’ve done a good job with my dog. that’s why i’ve given the 2 stars. however, i saw some reviews on yelp & a few on here saying how expensive this place is & how they overcharge. i should have listened. i understand veterinarian appointments are not cheap, but this was ridiculous. i called ahead of time & i asked the value of everything i was going in for & i was told it would be about 60 US$ (which i did find to be a little cheap considering we discussed a rabies vaccination & an overall exam) after i got there & got my service, they told me the price was 138 US$. there must have been a communication error or something. they could tell i was surprised & when i asked for a receipt they had multiple fees i’ve never heard of & they added unrequested services to the fee as well. we brought in a record for all my dog’s vaccinations, shots, etc. so i knew what he needed going in. i just know i’ve been to other great vets with less outrageous prices. so i’ve had a pretty good understanding of the prices for most of these things. the people were kind though, wish it would’ve worked out. but i won’t be going back.

These guys were great with my senior dog, Harley. They were caring and compassionate, and reasonably priced as well. Thank you so much.

I would not trust, much less support this place. They will declaw cats and it's a disgusting practice that any decent vet knows is inhumane.

Last year I adopted met my baby girl Cici in one of the kennels here at SPVC-- one of the vet techs was fostering her and they let me go back to the cats only room and have some one on one time with her. From that day I have brought Cici back here for all of her medical needs and she loves the staff. They give her lots of attention and make it so stress-free. Unfortunately i had to bring her in yesterday for major surgery after eating a rubber stopper. Dr. Brett took the time to call me immediately after surgery and let me know how she was, and give me a run-down of how to prevent it from happening again. I will always be grateful to Dr. Brett and his staff for introducing me to my sweet baby girl and taking such good care of her.

I personally have never visited this clinic but if Barbara Luikart is working there I can promise that you are in good hands! She took care of my baby for nearly 18 years. She is a very conservative doctor but does it in a very smart way. …

I appreciate how Starring Plaza Vet Center maintains their hours. It is so helpful to not have to take time off of work to take care of my fur baby. The staff is super friendly and Dr. Berryhill is easy to talk to and does a great job taking care of my kitty.

My dog is basically my child, so i’m always hesitant taking him to a new vet. This staff was AMAZING. They answered all of my questions & offered great advice. They were welcoming, funny, helpful and my dog smelled amazing after his bath. They even have specials for each day of the week! 10/10 will be taking my dog there again!

You WILL get friendly service and very thorough explanations even though your animal's symptoms will just be explained as possible scenarios...will walk out wondering what problem your animal actually has...

I think y'all did an awesome job. I can't think of anything y'all could've done to make me and Bebe feel more welcome. I appreciate that you let me bring in Bebe as a walk-in and that I could leave him there and pick him up when it was convenient to my work schedule. I will definitely be bringing in Bebe for follow-up care in the future. Also, all the staff were able to answer my questions. Great job everyone :)

Dr. Berryhill is notable for encouraging only essential medical procedures in the context of species-specific lifespan. He intervenes proactively and thoughtfully remains in contact even on weekends when a health emergency arises. The medical and administrative staff are equally thoughtful of the patients.
