My dog "Thor" loves going and the vets are very helpful. They always have time to explain and give me advices to get my dog healthy. Thanks for taking care of one of our family members.

This place is randomly open/closed even during their posted business hours. Not sure why sometimes they are open and sometimes they are closed. I would just remove Saturday from the list of available hours. I have tried to visit this location 3 different times over the course of several months and the doors were locked.

Absolutely amazing staff that all truly love and care for animals. Have not met a single person who works here that hasn't been wonderful. They make sure that I understand everything that's going on with my pet and listen to any concerns.

These people are the best. A year ago our dog was almost dead from a liver parasite that our previous vet didn't diagnose. These folks found what the problem was and gave us the medication to kill it. They are the most knowledgeable and caring people. I can't say enough good about them.

Dr. Hodgson and her vet tech, Ashley, were incredible with my 4 fur babies. I brought in my 3 cats and my dog and they paid so much attention to each them individually. They were examined them with love and care. I would highly recommend this animal hospital to anyone. Jessica at the front desk and the rest of the staff were efficient, helpful, and welcoming. The facilities were also very clean. My pets left happy and healthy and can’t wait to see Dr. Hodgson and Ashley again. :)

Friendly and knowledgeable staff all around. Sister site to the emergency after hours animal hospital on Sherwood so you fur kid is covered 24/7 if their records are needed. Everyone there is either a cat whisperer or one in training. My 16 year old cat who doesn't like anyone that doesn't live at his house loves Dr. Lacie Lee and Ashley.

Dr. Ward and staff are great! I am thankful they opened on this side of Baton Rouge. They love on my dog every time I go. I am never rushed in and out. He listens and does what’s best for your pet.

They are some of the nicest people you would want.to meet.They have compassion when i had to put our dog down. They cried with my son and myself. Never met any people that was so nice. Give then a try you will love them as well as i do.

Fantastic vet clinic - it is actually the sister-location of the Sherwood Animal hospital. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Very easy to get appointments and you can tell they really care about the animals.

My small yorkie, Scout, was attacked by another dog. I rushed over to South Baton Rouge Animal Hospital. The staff quickly got to work. Dr. Carter Ward did everything he could to tend to my little guy’s body which was nearly cut completely in half. My family and I thought Scout was going to die that day. Dr. Ward stayed hours extra treating his wound and stitching up his body. That night Scout was transferred by the staff to Sherwood South (the sister hospital). I was kept up-to-date with phone calls. One month later and Scout is running around and completely normal. It seems like a miracle, but it’s not. It’s a well-trained staff and highly educated doctor at work. Bring your emergencies and annual visits to South Baton Rouge Animal Hospital. Your pets deserve it!

Amazing staff that really care and addressed all my concerns. My dog has had some chronic issues so I've seen all the doctors- Dr. Lee, Dr. Green and Dr. Ward and everyone is so compassionate and knowledgeable. The facility is also very clean and brand new! Overall I have had great experiences and will definitely be bringing all of my pets here from here on out.

This is where I will be taking my pets from now on. They provided awesome care for my dog. He had a broken leg and they were exceptionally thorough and showed true concern for him. The vets and staff are professional and polite. This is the cleanest vet clinic I have ever stepped foot in. Not to mention, the location is awesome.
