I had to change my review because of a bad experience. Not because of the experience specifically but because no one ever called me back. I believe I was very respectful in giving my complaint. The girl lied to me when I asked her if she cut my dogs dewclaws. I said are you sure and she said yes in the same way a three year old lies to you. I said ok, then all of a sudden she offered to take him back and fix the "nonexistent" problem. I had to nicely tell her where to stick it when she tried to forcefully take my dog from me after I said no. I refuse to go back until management contacts me. But truthfully I don't expect them to and now I hope they don't. It's unfortunate as we've spent hundreds there. Also, their computer system is deplorable and takes 10m or more to ring you up for a walk in. They usually finish before I can pay but not because they're fast. Admittedly they are friendly people, even the one who lied. Regretably that matters very little when you lie to my face and then management doesn't respond.

It sounds “silly” to people who don’t have pets, but our 5 year old maltipoo “puppy” is happy when we go to Petz Plaza! The staff treats her like their own. Groomer, Jessica, is the best in the business! I trust this group to care for the “puppy” who saved our family!

Everyone is wonderful. They truly like dogs. We have never had a bad experience. The staff is always friendly and willing to help. Noelle is the best groomer there is. She not only grooms, but she also cares about the dogs.

Petz Plaza failed my dog in a temperament test because he growled at other dogs, didn't give him a second chance, and kept him in a kennel instead of calling me to pick him up. The least they could have done is call me instead of keeping him in a kennel for an extra four hours. I am extremely disappointed in this establishment.

Our dog seemed to have a good time during her stay and the employees all loved her. Benni received a lot of attention and came home a happy girl.

First time bringing my dog and they did an amazing job! Grooming was finished in a timely manner and done exactly as I asked. Everyone who works here is extremely polite and helpful. Will continue brining my dog here.

Petz Plaza takes great care of my dog. She loves to play at day care and comes home a happy and worn out pup. All of the staff loves her and knows her by name. They provide high quality care for my active pup who needs to play!

My dog loves coming here. He has separation anxiety and can’t be left at home all day while I’m at work. I got him from the shelter and his records show that he’d been brought back to the shelter multiple times before I adopted him. Seeing how excited he gets when we pull into the parking lot let’s me know how well taken care of and loved he is while he’s there and it really puts my mind at ease while I’m at work. When I first adopted him, he was already an adult and I didn’t know him or his needs well. The staff is very communicative and always sensitive to his needs, quick to let me know if he doesn’t seem to be feeling well, and always lets me know how he’s doing socially. PetzPlaza is the best decision I’ve made for Rex.

My Copper didnt enjoy his stay because it was a new environment but the staff was so nice during my million and one calls to check on him. LOL they even called me (as promised) when we were having an issue with him eating/using the litter. Would definitely recommend to others.

I can’t say enough about this place!! Workers are always friendly! It’s super convenient in that if your dog needs vaccines they will bring him next door to the vet. I have been happy with my dog’s cut every time!!! It’s exactly as I request!!! I won’t go anywhere else for grooming!!!

Whenever we go out of town we take our dog to Petz Plaza. They take really good care of our dog and you can't put a price on "piece of mind" knowing your fur baby is safe and in good hands when you must be away from them.

Review Writing this review is a very tough position to be in. I wanted to trust the raving reviews of Petz Plaza and start a grooming & boarding relationship with this facility. On May 4th, I brought my sweet 2 year old Westie, Barley, to be groomed. Though Brian did a fantastic job with the cut, I noticed that evening that Barley had a significant cough I had never heard before. Through the night it became productive hacking with phlegm coming up. His vet confirmed the next day it was a case of kennel cough and likely related to being groomed (despite being vaccinated) One month later, today, I picked Barley up from a 4 night boarding stay. (Right at 6:00 - the 4 girls at the front desk making snide comments and acting like I was an inconvenience). On their platform it shows options for live cameras and report cards. Neither of these functions worked for me, and they couldn’t give me any information other than “he was a perfect gentleman”. It would have been nice to know if he slept a lot, seemed to play with his toys, or was alert and interacting with people or dogs walking by, or even upset and needing to be consoled. It seems he had a rough time, as he now has a cough worse than the one in May and a near non existent bark. My dog was obviously scared and anxiously barking for an extended period and I would have happily paid for whatever extra attention it took for him to feel safe. Additionally, the cough should have been handled by a vet when it was noticed. I’m sure his first cough was not when we got home. Just as a daycare would call home to a parent if their child is uncontrollably upset to the point where they are sick, I expect a boarding place to do the same for my “child”. I can’t call and get more information as the facility is closed, but I will be doing that tomorrow. This place is severely infected by kennel cough and doesn’t seem to be trying to remedy it or let it’s customers know. Several of the latest reviews confirm I’m not the only one in this position right now. I really wanted to love Petz Plaza, but until this is resolved, I cannot trust them anymore.

Took my dog there for the first time last week. Dog came home sick and out of sorts. Gunk was all over her eyes and face. Barely ate and had diarrhea. Haven't gotten into the vet yet, possible kennel cough or some sickness to cause this much stress. No report cards or tasks were filled out. I called multiple times one day with no response. I just felt the dog did not get the attention she needed for her first stay that made me or her comfortable. I wish they could've called to say she was having a rough time and suggest more tlc or playtime, would've been happy to pay for whatever she needed. We will not be going back as I just didn't feel at ease leaving her there.

Brought my mini Aussie for a grooming. He had the kennel cough vaccine in March21. After spending 4 hours there, he came home with kennel cough. I reached out to Petz Plaza and manager never returned my all. Careful with your pets.

TL;DR: Didn't provide every service and did a poor job, and got my dog sick and refused to refund. Booked a reservation almost two months in advance for a large kennel for our dog. Their website reads, "Registration pending," or something to that nature for weeks, until I finally receive a phone call saying that there are no large kennels and asked if we'd be ok with an extra large for a small fee (difference at the end of the day was around $20). At this point, not wanting to lose a spot for my dog, I reluctantly agree even though I felt they pulled a bait and switch type of move. I take the dog on the day of arrival and have to refill out everything that was already requested on the website. A nuisance, but nothing I'd be that upset about. The extra services I sign up for included a nail trim and a bath. Nails were not trimmed, and upon review we were not billed for that. After we get the dog home, fresh from the bath at Petz Plaza, we notice a ton of black gunk in the dog's ear. However they're bathing the dogs, they're not doing that swell of a job. These were minor inconveniences, so it wasn't enough for me to get that upset. Then a few days later, my dog starts coughing at night. The next morning, dog is throwing up mucus every 30 seconds for the whole day. I contact Petz Plaza telling them that my dog has kennel cough and would like a refund, and they say they'll call me back. Took dog to the VET and sure enough, kennel cough. After shelling out the money for the VET visit and medication, I request a refund from Petz Plaza. I get in touch with someone who is supposedly the person in charge, who keeps saying things along the lines of, "There's nothing I can do...that's the risk you take...we're not responsible because of our policy that you signed," the latter of which is not true according to their policy. They also said that they had numerous reports of dogs coming down with kennel cough as I'm complaining on the phone, so make it right. In the end, if you want to get your dog sick, get half of what you think you're going to get serviced, and deal with a rude supervisor, Petz Plaza is great. Send your animal and your money somewhere much more deserving.
