I took my GSD Nalah to see Dr. Jolly and to say we were treated with such respect and professionalism is an understatement. He is top notch. We drove our baby girl 2 hours from our home to see him and I will continue to do so as long as we are able. He diagnosed her and treated her when 2 vets before him had been unable (unwilling) to do so. He spoke with us and was very informative and kind. We love him. Definitely one of the best out there.

We love Dr. Jeff Critchlow at VCA. He's compassionate, attentive, thorough, and responsive. We went through sad, difficult process of diagnosing our very young cat with an aggressive form of soft tissue sarcoma. Dr. Critchlow ran a number of tests and completed a biopsy on her. We felt lucky to have Dr. Critchlow take care of her during her last months. I highly recommend him.

All of the vets that we have seen have been amazing. Dr. Cuffe is especially loved by our dogs. Our poodle had to have a tumor and his kidney removed and Dr. Jolly kept us updated and in the loop the entire time. Unfortunately they found cancer and the entire staff has been understanding, compassionate, and have gone above and beyond to help through this tough time. I can always send a message through the app or call and talk to a tech during hours if needed. I really cannot say enough great things about this clinic.

I wouldn’t recommend this vet to anyone. The level of unprofessionalism and pricing is through the roof at this clinic. After getting off the phone with concerns on my invoice the lead Veterinarian called me “dude” and claimed “I was trying to avoid paying the bill”. - clinic will manipulate your bill to add charges. - not transparent about pricing on procedures - rude lead veterinarian - claims the environment of the clinic is what you pay for - found nothing about what was wrong with my dog just a 500$ bill - lead veterinarian is very unprofessional and argued my concerns about my bill even though they were legitimate concerns. I brought my dog to the clinic with concerns of her being lethargic around 6pm. The clinic was fine when I was there they were attentive. I was told it would be best to leave her over night and I took the vets recommendation. I was told she would receive a “liver panel” to find out what “toxicity” she had injected to make her lethargic. Upon picking my dog up the next morning I learned she was fine as of midnight and the liver panel came back with nothing.. within the summary it states that I was told her liver panel came back negative while at the clinic… which is not true.. I was not present when those results came back or I would have taken her home. Then receiving my invoice they added hours to the boarding my dog. The vet claimed she had been there for 18 hours when in reality she was there for less than 14. My text messages prove this.. to conclude the clinic took advantage of my emotional state and capitalized on my concern to make a buck. The lead veterinarian told me the staff onsite after hours doesn’t have medical training or judgement to take an IV off an animal..

I had previously given this place a good review but the last time I came here, I was treated very rudely. The receptionist was rude along with the actual vet. When I say rude, I mean I was treated with disrespect. Not looked in the eye. Overall attitude. They called me over to pay and then ignored me. Then I sat down because I was being ignored. Then called me over again, then ignored again. So I sat back down again. Then finally called me over for payment and was overcharged the price I was told on the phone. They had added a $40 fee for nothing. I guess just so they could see if they could get $40 for nothing. Idk. They took it off only because I mentioned it and refused to pay it. The only reason why I even came to this place is because I wanted my cat to be seen by Dr. Jolly who is amazing, but he is so hard to get booked because he is so popular. I wish he would get his own private practice going. The receptionists here are rude and treat customers badly for no reason, and the female vet I encountered this day was not a very good vet and a price gouger. I will never go back to this place unless Dr. Jolly is our assigned Veterinarian, other than him, I do not recommend this Animal Hospital.

Words cannot describe how pleasant my experience with VCA Woodford was. I had to take my puppy due to frequent seizures and I had taken him to 4 other vet clinics that either didn't know what was going on or suggested knee surgeries to fix his "episodes". Dr. Nolty was extremely kind for having us worked in his schedule on such a short notice. He also came highly recommended by a family member so I had to give it a try. I got blood test results within 30 minutes followed by a diagnosis and two prescriptions to help my dog with his anxiety and seizure episodes. I cannot thank Dr. Nolty and Brandi enough for helping Rocket. I'd recommend Dr. Nolty and VCA Woodford to anyone any day.

Dr. Nolty, Dr. Austin, and Dr. Jolly are all wonderful! They treated my gaint breed with such kindness during the last 6 months of his life! They were willing to fit my dog in the schedule to ensure he wasn't sick at home. When we decided to put him down, due to him being unable to walk Dr. Austin, who we had never met, was extremely respectful and understanding! We will miss our friends at the VCA but the next dog we own will be treated by them!!

The staff at VCA are all wonderful. The vets are all caring and compassionate with your animals. Dr Nolty is especially caring and compassionate. When we had to euthanize our Bichon with a heart tumor he was so kind to us and to our fur baby. He loved on our dog as he gave him the medicines and gently carried him away, ensuring that he would look after him like his own. He was so kind and it made such a difference during such a difficult time. Thanks VCA and Dr Nolty! I highly recommend VCA.

I cannot even begin to express how much we love VCA! Hannah and Kim at the front desk made our check in and check out so easy. Carsyn is amazing with all my animals and you can really tell she loves them and what she does. She is extremely knowledgeable. I have seen Dr. Nolty and Dr. Cuffe and I have to say, we are so thankful for them! Really and truly the best vets we have ever been to.

VCA Woodford animal clinic takes very good care of my Boxer and Jack Russell's for over 10yrs now. Dr. Daney is one of the best veterinarians I have ever delt with. I highly recommend VCA Woodford Animal Clinic.

A few months ago life came to an end for our 15 year old Shih Tzu. The care he received from the VCA staff was amazing. Everyone we interacted with was considerate, kind, and compassionate. Sincere thanks to Erica, Dr. Nolty, and especially Noelle.

A little pricey but they are really good at only doing what you need so you don't have to pay for a bunch of extra unnecessary stuff. Pretty competent

Too expensive. I pray my dog never gets hurt anyway but after taking a friend there, I'm pretty sure my medical bills would be less.

I had an emergency Friday and they could not get me until Saturday at 8:00 a.m. So much for animal hospital. I would think you could see someone in an emergency.

This place used to be wonderful and now they have new Dr’s & staff I have encountered a few rude receptionist and I do not recommend this place any longer . They had my dog for over 4 Hrs and never once called me when she was ready . They never act like they know what is going on & everything is just horrid . My aunt has had two bad encounters with them and ended up having to bury BOTH of her dog after a visit here and they were perfectly fine until they were seen , then after they ended up crossing over . This place might as well shut the damn doors . If you want to keep your pet alive I suggest you don’t take your dog here . Point blank period .

They do not accept their own new client coupons, and their office visit charge is almost double that of every veterinarian I have called. It’s really too bad to try to get rich off of people whose only care is for the health of a tiny kitten found in traffic. Shame on you!!!!!

The one star rating is actually for VCA & not the wonderful care my dogs have received at the Woodford Clinic. I’m writing in support of Dr. Dale Eckert, who has been our veterinarian of choice & friend for over 30 years. We are saddened that such an illustrious career as his has ended so abruptly. Dr. Eckert is not only an excellent vet, but he is a truly good person as well. We’ve never seen anyone more devoted to their profession than Dr. Eckert. His concern for his animal patients as well as their owners is unsurpassed. Dr. Eckert has cared for four Golden Retrievers that we have owned & his expertise, compassion & dedication can’t even be put into words. This man is there after clinic hours, on his days off and every Sunday after church, checking on sick animals & communicating with their owners. He makes every owner feel that their pet is special, and takes great pains to give the very best care possible. We drive about 12 miles one way to see Dr. Eckert, when we have a very capable vet a mile from our home. One of the things we appreciated about VCA Woodford was the after hours service & on call veterinarians. It’s our understanding that these services are being eliminated, which also saddens us. In conclusion, we feel that Dr. Eckert was instrumental in the success of this clinic, and is an invaluable asset to this clinic. We believe VCA made a huge mistake in severing their relationship with Dr. Eckert & will lose clients like myself because of this.

My wife and I haven taken our pets to Woodford VCA for 20 years, but I just made my last visit. Recently, we took our two dogs there for their annual shots and a recheck on one of my dogs ear infection that we had previously visited for about a week earlier. The bill for the first treatment for the ear infection and a bottle of medicine for an unrelated issue was $363.74. On this current visit for my two dogs annual shots and the recheck of the ear infection the bill was $698.65. In my estimation this is flat out ridiculous. I feel like I've been blatantly robbed for the second time I’ve been there in the last few years. Two visits in two weeks that cost 1,062.39 for fairly routine services, no surgeries, no overnight stays, etc. They do good work, but their prices have become exceptionally outlandish. You can get the same services elsewhere for less money. My neighbors quit taking their dogs to VCA for this reason, and I've surely made my last visit. I wrote a negative review the first time that I felt I was charged unfairly and one of their vets called me numerous times in one day asking me to take it down. He agreed to lower the price significantly if I agreed to remove it. Maybe that’s how they have so few negative reviews! I urge you to shop around if you are a prospective customer. You can get these services from a reputable veterinarian without being gouged. I would also like to add that this clinic was built on the hard work and reputation of Dr. Eckert who has, to my understanding, essentially been fired. In my opinion, a person that takes their pets to this clinic after his dismissal should be ashamed of themselves. Dr. Eckert was a great veterinarian and deserved better. That big, pretty building wouldn't be standing there without his work and service to Woodford County.

We were looking for a new vet for our collie, who is now 12. He was having stomach issues and just a host of other problems. I felt like other vets were shrugging my concerns off as "he's just getting older". The VCA Woodford Animal Hospital was recommended to us by several different friends. A few of them recommended Dr. Jolly in particular, who specializes in geriatric health. And we are so glad we found him. He's never rushed, and he always listens to our concerns. And he seems to really understand what our dog needs as a senior. I should also add that the entire staff there is always so friendly.
