The Dog Spot- West Nashville Nashville, Kentucky

We took our dog Bella to the dog spot in Nashville so that we could enjoy a day in downtown. When we pick her up she was well taken care of and they didn't even charge us. Great place recommend highly.

We got our dachshund groomed there yesterday and we were very pleased. She looked so nice and she was soft. The smell of the products were very soft and not overwhelming. We will definitely be back! Employees very kind as well!!

Today I had a bath scheduled for my dog, Avery. I never got a call that her bath was complete and she was ready to be picked up. When I went to pick her up, they brought out someone else's dog. They proceeded to tell me that was my dog. The dog they brought to me was a male dog and Avery is female. After scurrying the dog off along with all of the staff, the front desk girl proceeded to call the owner where she told him "...this lady is acting hysterical". They did finally track down the customer who had my dog and the customer brought my dog back and got her dog (how she couldn't tell she had the wrong dog is beyond me). I know this is a busy time of year, but that is a pretty big mistake. I'm happy it ended up well, but I don't think something like this should be taken lightly!

So many horror stories on Next Door about this place. Stay away!! Dogs disappearing misplaced mistreated

We’ve been taking our Lab/Chow Chow mix to the Dog Spot West for a few months now to get groomed. They do an amazing job every time! All of their groomers are awesome, but Kate is our favorite! Our pup is extremely furry but Kate always does a great job with de-shedding. We highly recommend them for grooming.

The doggy daycare in Nashville period

Upsetting to say the least… if you plan on coming to this location double check, maybe triple check before you drive there in the rain during your lunch break. After calling up to the location and speaking to a rep, she reassured me they could see my dog and give him a nail trim.. no appointment was needed as long as I was there before 3pm. I arrived at 2:40pm to find out they aren’t able to see him, mention no one was available to help. I let her know I was the person she spoke with earlier on the phone and was told I could receive service if he was there before 3pm etc… Response: “sorry the groomer went home early and didn’t tell anyone” Yep - double check, maybe triple check before going here. (Not Reliable)

My puppy got groomed and attended daycare at The Dog Spot. The facility is very clean and there are webcams in all the play areas, so we could observe my puppy at any time. There is a staff member in each play area at all times to clean up and make sure everyone is safe and happy. There's also lots of treats, toys, and supplies here to purchase.

These are the kindest people you will ever meet. I had to go to the ER but had my dogs in the car. The Dog Spot was the only dog daycare that helped me through a tough time. 10/10 would recommend this place again.

The dog spot is terrible the employees are terrible them people who own the store which is Chad and his twin brother don't even know how bad it is or they probably do know they just don't care the employees are very rude they have bad attitudes I don't trust them to watch my pet the employees cuss at each other and everything else I do not recommend anyone to leave their dog here

Great customer service and products!

We love the dog spot ! We are brand new dog owners and boarded our little girl while we got married . The staff are so welcoming and kept us in the loop when she wasn’t feeling well one day . In addition we were gifted a free bath for our pup as a wedding gift! We are beyond thrilled with our choice for daycare and boarding . Things happen in business , but I feel confident any negative encounters in the past were one off situations . We will continue to be loyal customers !

I’ve been taking my 19lb golden doodle here for over 3 years and it is by far his favorite place to go! I’ve tried a few other spots in Nashville over the years, but Chad and his team are unmatched. They are professional, kind, and seem to genuinely love what they do. Plus, Duke gets more excited for daycare than he does for a walk. That says it all to me! However, chasing squirrels still takes the lead on excitement level. He is a dog… All that to say, I highly recommend The Dog Spot. Thank for taking such good care of my little buddy!

I made a grooming appointment almost 2 weeks ago and dropped my 2 puppers off at 6AM with the request that they be ready for pick up at 1pm. At 11:56, I received a call from a bather telling me that their baths were done and they weren’t going to be groomed. When I asked if it was possible for another arrangement to be made (as I have been waiting on this appointment for a while), the gentleman stated that he would have someone reach out to me. Crickets. Since I received no update/call back, I called at 1:53. At that time, another gentleman answered, placed me on a lengthy hold, returned and stated that the groomer assigned to my dogs had called out before the start of her shift (8AM) and that as a conciliation he had authorized my dogs be bathed for free. I do appreciate this, but my dogs have now been unnecessarily locked in a kennel for 8 hours and still require grooming. Aside from the bather, who actually only called to notify me about a separate issue, no one from The Dog Spot reached out to me - at either opportunity. And when I calmly expressed my dissatisfaction with this lack of communication, I was told to take my dog’s somewhere else. I will be sure to do just that. I will also be sure to share my experience with others.

If you’re in a pinch and need somewhere to board your dogs, this place is ok. However, if you can go pretty much anywhere else in town I would recommend it. Awful smell when you walk in, staff doesn’t communicate so one employee will tell you one thing and another employee does differently. We had a bad experience with our pup being injured while there and not only do we believe that they lied to us as to how it happened, the communication with us was lacking and then they told us they would remove some of the costs for our stay due to the experience and they didn’t do it.

The Dog Spot West has been life changing for us. We took in another pup to our family with different energy level needs. The Dog Spot team has made having her taken care of while we are at work possible! Layla was very timid at first and they have been very in tune with her comfort level and needs. Now she is becoming more social and comfortable.. very critical! They have small, medium and large dog groups which is important. All of the staff is incredibly welcoming and knows Layla by name. A particular shout out to Autumn & Kristen who have made a lasting impression on us already. They are so kind, patient and insightful. We always get the impression from the staff that they truly care. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a top-notch doggy daycare.

The team at The Dog Spot is excellent. I recently moved to town and was worried about finding a place to board and groom my dogs. They were very easy to communicate with and accommodating about some last minute changes to my grooming requests. Highly recommend!

I've been using The Dog Spot West for daycare for several months now. The employees and owner are all very nice and professional. Many of them know the pups by name. They have cameras you can use to watch your dog play and lounge. I haven't used their grooming or bathing services, so I can't speak to those. Overall, I'd recommend them.

I can't say enough good things about the staff at The Dog Spot! My dog has been going here for a while now and LOVES it. The staff are responsive and call with any questions or issues that arise during the day. They also have cameras so we can check in on our dog during the day. I feel safe dropping my dog off and knowing he will be cared for. He doesn't always like to drink water during the day at daycare and the staff take the extra time to get him an individual bowl to ensure that he is staying hydrated. We will continue to use The Dog Spot for daycare and any boarding and grooming needs in the future!

Self wash is convenient and inexpensive though some of the fixtures at the washing stations didn’t work. Good selection of treats. It’s kind of weird to hear staff screaming at the dogs in the boarding/daycare area. I wouldn’t wanna leave my dog there.

This is by far the worst grooming experience we’ve ever had. It took eight hours, the staff was disrespectful, and they didn’t actually cut his hair! From the beginning I thought things were off when they didn’t need proof of vaccination or vet history and just said “it’s fine. As long as he’s up to date, we trust you.” I also made an appointment weeks in advance for a very specific time and they had a “first come first served” policy. So I get there early and drop my pup off at 8:30 am…it took literally EIGHT hours and they didn’t even cut his hair. They called me 6hrs in and said he was “not reacting well to the dryer”. We’ve lived in three cities, two states, and had him groomed at five places and he’s never had a single problem. When I acted distressed and confused at them saying he wasn’t doing well and how long it was taking the woman was very condescending about dogs and loud noises. I said I could pick him up but they hadn’t even started his haircut!! Two hours later when they called and my wife went in to pick him up they said he had “lunged at” her while she was brushing his tail. This isn’t a case of “oh my dogs an angel” unawareness. He’s literally never at any boarding or any grooming been given negative feedback and we’ve gone to much nicer places. If he “lunged” he must have been in extreme distress after EIGHT hours of being under stress. But that’s not even the worst part…they literally DIDN'T CUT HIS HAIR. So after eight hours, the staff condescending to my wife, and over $100 for a cut he still didn’t get his hair cut. Literal theft. Don’t go to this place.

We have been taking our 1 year old Golden Retriever to the Dog Spot West for several months. We have been really pleased with the way she has been treated, and the way we have been treated as customers. When we have had an issue come up, we spoke with the owner, Chad, and he went out of his way to make it right, and that really went a long way for us! We recently boarded her for 5 days and she came back tired but happy and easily transitioned back to being at home. Plus they have webcams, convenient hours, and remember our dog when we take her. Our pup loves the Dog Spot!

I love this store! Just ran in to get a chew toy, cookie, and look around. Would absolutely come back. Everything was clean and staff was very nice.

Puppy's grooming came out better than requested! I had the wonderful experience of having Katie as the groomer. I brought my brother's puppy in to be groomed for a wedding, and Katie offered many insights about the pup's age and how the coat would grow before the grooming. The little details she mentioned made me feel confident that the lil pupperoni was in good hands before the grooming, and everyone was ecstatic with the final result. I didn't catch the name of the other staff member present that day, but she was very kind as well. I definitely recommend this place for a grooming!
