Took my cat here for her yearly check up and to get her vaccines. I was super impressed with how gentle and kind Dr. Lee was with my cat. The price was also very affordable, and with it being near the end of the day I did not have to wait very long which was super nice!

I have waited long enough. We had our German Shephard spayed in November of 2020. We had the blood work done. She was perfectly healthy. Should have been no problem. My wife went to pick Tasha up and they said it would be a little later than they thought. So she went back about two hours later. They had a hard time getting her to wake up. My wife left the vet with her and the tech told her if we had any problems to just bring her back. My wife made it about 1 mile from the vet and they called. They realized we lived about 35 minutes away and wanted to give us some pills to give her if she was still having issues. I was home when my wife arrived with Tasha. We had to carry her out of the car and into the house but she would wag her tail when I would say her name so we both thought that she was still "under" and needed more time. We tried to give her one of the pills but it didn't work as she couldn't swallow it. We brought her in and laid her on her bed in the living room. She just laid there but I would say her name and she would wag her tail or lift her head so I would pet her. The boys laid in the floor with her and also pet her. We didn't think anything was wrong as they told us they had "given her a little more than normal because it took a little longer than normal". Around 11pm she died on her bed. Just stopped breathing. No struggle. We called a 24 hour vet and took her to them. She bled out internally. She wasn't sewn up correctly. We took their advice, had her spayed to help prevent ovarian cancer and Dr. Lee killed her by not doing his job correctly. I honestly wanted to do bodily harm to him at first and wanted to light him up on the internet to let everyone know but I let it go until I could calm down. We received a card after Tasha's death. It was signed "The Staff". No personalization. No anything. You just killed our dog and you sign it "The Staff"? Reallly? Keep your pets away from this place and away from Dr.Lee. He killed our dog and he could very easily kill yours.

I took my dog here because he sliced his leg open. I should have known not to take him here when they said they could look at him and put stitches in within an hour. I was told he tore his tendon so they gave him some stitches. I asked about a cone to put on him before we left and the lady at the front told me to go buy one at a pet store. I spent $418 for my dog to like his stitches out over night because he didn’t have the cone. I do not recommend bringing your pets here.

I have boarded my dog here several times and Zoe likes it so much she just trots back to her doom. Staff is great and even helped my wife and I find her when Zoe got out of the house without us knowing. Great grooming and also a great veterinarian.

I took my rescue cat I had adopted two times. First time it was for her ears, he said they was dirty he put some wash stuff in it a took a q-tip to clean her ears out. There was no one there to help him so he grab her around the neck and held her head against his body I thought he was gonna break her neck. The second time I went it was for worms coming out her but. I started not to take her back to him. I thought it would be ok just him giving her meds. I told him what the worm looked like he new what worm it was. He gave her to meds for two different worms. Then he said he needed to check her stool. He stuck a big long thing up her but to see if he could fine other worms. That was unnecessary To do that. She cried he kept digging. That night she was licking her but so I looked to see if it was a worm and she was bleeding. She sleeps with me all night. She woke me up in the middle of the night crying and walking the floor in pain. I couldn’t go back to sleep. I cried all the next day. He is to ruff with his patients and don’t pet or try to keep them calm. I will never take her there again. Grassmere is my vet for years but I moved but I’ll drive the 10 +miles the next time to Grassmere. The staff was great. The one star is for the staf.

I have been very pleased with Donelson Animal Hospital. They take care of my dog's annual visits and are my go-to for overnight boarding. Competitive prices and I feel comfortable leaving my dog there.

Dr. Lee and staff were so thoughtful and considerate when I had to let go of my precious Miss Kitty. They made the experience comfortable for her and myself. I will never go anywhere else.

We love this vet practice. They were there when our pup was in bad shape and offered caring service that was reasonably priced. They will be our regular vet moving forward.

My first visit to Donelson Animal Hospital was 54 years ago. A lot has changed in that amount of time and Dr. John Evans is long gone. I am so happy that Dr. Lee is continuing the tradition of his predecessor and is offering top notch veterinary services at very reasonable cost. You can tell when talking with Dr. Lee and his staff that they do love small animals and it is not just a job. Great people an excellent service . You could not ask for more. I highly recommend. Brought my cat here, and they were always prompt with my appointment time. The prices for my cat to get up to date on her vaccines were about $90, which is the best price I have found for the quality of care you get.

Great staff and they have the of pets and it helps to know that they understand how much the animals mean the to the owners. As I had to take 3 of my puppies in as they are very sick. The care is very affordable, the staff loves and cares for the animals, and the vet is wonderful and prepares to do all things possible to make my fur baby's feel better and get them well. I have a new Doctor and office for all my animals and I will highly recommend this office. They deserve all fives. Thank you Donelson Animal Hospital. You guys are truly the greatest and gave my pets a chance. It means alot.

Dr. Lee and his entire staff are amazing! Great veterinary care, very reasonable prices, especially given the high level of vet care that your animals receive. And they are open 2 nights a week till 7pm, which is great for busy schedules.

These folks were so incredibly kind and compassionate while giving our dog wonderful care. The practice has been in Donelson for a very long time, and when you step inside, you feel like you are getting the kind of personal care and attention from the days past. Dr. Lee was gracious and helpful, and the rest of the staff was caring and professional. I'll be grateful for years for the care we received here.

Amazing vet. Really cares about the animals. Open early and late for those non emergency but necessary trips. Honest and doesn’t overcharge because he can.

We have a cat with a broken jaw that requires 1) feeding him liquefied food through a nasal-gastric tube until his jaw heals and 2) using BOTH a small and medium sized cone-of-shame (the smaller fits his neck size, the medium extends further to prevent the cat from messing with his jaw sutures). When we had to leave town for a few nights, we wanted to board him with a vet because we believed that they would be familiar with proper tube-feeding procedures. Unfortunately when we picked him up, we discovered that his feeding tube was full of dried-up food (you are supposed to flush it with water after every feeding, something we explicitly discussed with them and wrote out in instructions). Additionally, the syringe used to pump food into the tube was not returned to us, so we cannot do anything at home to try to fix it. Finally, upon picking him up, his longer cone had been taken off, and we noticed that one of his sutures was completely undone, suggesting that this cone had been off for extended periods of time during boarding. All this only 3 nights later! We now have to take him back to our vet to fix put in a new feeding tube and redo the sutures, which unfortunately isn’t cheap! We decided to give them 2 stars because they took us in last minute, and are open late on Tuesdays which was the night we needed to pick him up. Also, as far as we know they are fine vets under normal circumstances, but we cannot recommend them for boarding pets with difficult medical problems.

My Shepard had been going here for years until his doctor died. A great old man who had an extensive knowledge about German Shepards; even helped bring them over during WWII. …
