At first I was unsure about going here because the building is a bit outdated and small. The care my dogs and cat get is completely worth it! The vets and the staff are wonderful and they are great with our boys. I definitely recommend working with them.

I've been going here for years. My pets and I have always been treated like we're part of their own family.

Absolutely love Berry Hill Animal Hospital! They’re wonderful for both routine visits as well as unexpected incidents. Our goldendoodle has seen both Dr. Kirkpatrick and Dr. Williams—both are fantastic! The office staff is extremely responsive and friendly. Evening and weekend appointments, too! ???? ???? ❤️

My girlfriend and I take our two cats here. Overall, I have been happy with the service, friendliness, and professionalism of the staff. The vet took the time to answer my questions on both occasions I have been there, as well as when my girlfriend has gone. It isn't the fanciest and most modern animal hospital out there, but I would recommend them.

Berry Hill Animal Hospital has been caring for my two dogs for more than 3 years, and I originally was not going to write a review. But for documentation purposes, and so no one else ever finds themselves in the situation that I was in, I decided to go forward with it. Berry Hill Animal Hospital’s downfall is professionalism. Everyone considering going here most know that they have the most inconsiderate staff on the planet. If you’re okay with that, then this is the place for you. Anyone who has gone here for a prolonged period of time, knows that Berry Hill has a pattern of payment processing issues. For a total of 3 times that I recall, they have asked ME if I am okay with charging the services to an “ACCOUNT” because they have been having payment processing issues with their machine. (I wasn’t aware this was even a thing, but I would say sure.) 2 out of the three times, the man inside would have me process the payment the next time I visit. But the third time, some lady called me up asking for it. This was fine, and I went to get my card. She proceeded to tell me that they charge a small fee for having payments processed to an “account.” When I asked why they would charge me extra when THEY ASKED ME to charge it to the account, she said this: “We believe that you should be FINANCIALLY RESPONSIBLE enough to call us up and close the balance on your account.” Mind you, I have spent thousands of dollars on two dog ACL issues, hypothyroidism, and an array of other issues that have sprung up over the years. Not once have I ever not made a payment in full. When I asked to speak with Dr. Kirkpatrick about the matter, she DENIED EVEN CHARGING PEOPLE TO THIS MYSTERIOUS “ACCOUNT.” She told me once again that I was not financially responsible at the time of my visit to pay for it and that they NEVER allow people to charge their services to an “Account.” Needless to say, this response only further infuriated me. The care that I have received from them has been mediocre at best. Some doctors are better than others. The way that they treat people desperately needs to change. Again, I’m only posting this so that it is documented. If you have had a similar experience with Berry Hill Animal Hospital, definitely respond to this post.

Love the fact that we can walk to the clinic. Staff and technicians are great.

When i 1st visited in 2011 a ms.brown vet dr.was working at this location she saved my pet bull toonchie from parvo here i am with my toonchie once again life threatening in need of operation they saved her my toonchie once again thanx to ms.kirpatrick vet dr. We never would have made it without yu guys thank you so much fot giving us more time ❤ together very affordable very very caring overall excellent care

Awesome service from Berry Hill Animal Hospital! Was able to get my puppy dog in before they closed and helped get her on some antibiotics! The best service in Davidson County!

We rescued a kitten (Jeff) who was feral and they got us right in the next morning. Thank you so much! They were very communicative and professional and kind! Going back this Monday. :)

Initial phone call was terrible, but needed to bring my cat somewhere asap. Should have gone elsewhere for sure - lack of caring during the entire process. Or maybe it was a bad day for the office. Regardless, won't go back.

I wan't everyone to know about this terrible place to avoid it at all costs. After getting hung up on by their unprofessional receptionist who did NOT want to send my dogs medical records over to another vet, I finally was able to go elsewhere. When I spoke to the other vet, she began reading Louie's medical records and said she was shocked they wanted to "sedate" Louie considering his "heart murmur." I said "heart murmur?" Assuming they received the incorrect records, because not only has this receptionist hung up on me, messed up appointments, but given me the incorrect heart worm pills according to my dogs weight before, actually causing me to make a trip vet back to the vet, I assumed she messed up yet again, and faxed over the wrong records. This was the FIRST I had heard of this. She explained to me that Dr. Gansberger noted on June 30th that she found a heart murmur listening to Louie's heart that was a grade 3. I explained this was the FIRST I had heard of this. She never told me this, and due to Covid I wasn't allowed into the office with him. Wouldn't this be something that a vet divulges to the owner? I assume she hid this from me because I decided to not sedate him for a routine vet checkup to make her job easier during Covid. This is because my dog has known comorbities , which at this time is a throat tumor, GI Issues, and is 10 years old. Not to mention he has NEVER even so much as tried biting a person or the vet. I assume when she found the heart murmur which would be something you for sure don't go sedating a dog with, she decided to leave that part out so I wouldn't call her out once again for trying to sedate him. Beyond unprofessional, and ridiculous. I can not believe this place operates this way. Please please keep your animals away from this terrible place. Could you imagine had I listened to her and sedated my dog for this routine visit? Not only did they get my appointment confused, and tried accusing me of canceling it, but they wanted to sedate a dog for a routine visit that has a throat tumor, GI issues, 10 years old, and now has been diagnosed with a heart murmur apparently that they failed to even tell me about. Just a terrible unprofessional place all around. I'm unsure of how the receptionist even has a job. She is beyond terrible to people as well. There are better places to take your animals in Nashville... for starters ANYWHERE ELSE!

Berry Hill has the best vets in town. I've lived in Nashville for more than 3 decades and the care my dog and 3 cats get from the wonderful vets and staff at Berry Hill is consistently excellent. Highly recommend them.

Absolutely the worst. Avoid at ALL costs. Took my dog in for an ear infection and blood work, doctor said ears were clean. Next day I pulled out a piece of gunk half an inch long..... then asked for my dogs medical records to take him to another clinic. They refused, absolutely would not send them to me. Then I asked if they could send them to the new doctor.... was told they would. Got to the new doctor and they had not received. Called back to be told it was already done and hung up on. If this is what Nashville considers a good vet, I feel bad for the animals that live there. My new vet is also shocked by their behavior and lack of treatment. If you care about your fur baby, this is not the place to go.

I’ve been to a couple different vets in Nashville, but Berry Hill is by far the best. The prices are fair, they get you in quickly, and the doctors are extremely caring and take the time to make sure you understand exactly what is going on with your pet. Can’t recommend highly enough.
