I have taken my dogs to Dr Hardigree and Southland vet for over 25 years. From puppy vaccines to trauma care to geriatric needs the entire staff has consistently provided friendly, professional, compassionate care in state-of-the-art facilities.

I have always taken my dogs to Southland and will not go anywhere else. The staff is friendly and compassionate, and the doctors explain everything clearly and kindly. Wait times are always short and emergencies are handled immediately. My dog died unexpectedly two weeks ago, and the doctor and staff were incredibly patient and caring with me, my husband, and my pup. I recommend Southland Vet to everyone I know, and I’ve always heard great responses and thanks for the recommendation.

I've taken both of my pets (dog and cat) here for over 5 years because of how great the veterinarians and staff are. Everyone is knowledgeable, friendly and helpful!

Have always taken my sisters dogs here. We go annually for our shots and examine. They do great teeth cleanings and very kind and professional staff. Thank you for taking such good care of all of us.

Dr Hardigree and her assistant Katie S are awesome. My dog had a cyst on her foot that was giving her trouble, Dr Hardigree removed it with no trouble now you can't even tell it was there. Highly recommend Southland veterinary hospital

Millie is such a sweet and caring vet. She's seen my cat for her wellness exams and has even attended to my mother's dog. The dog had a cyst on her paw that her current vet was unwilling to remove, but Millie had no reservations and was able to remove the cyst with no complications! If she hadn't done that, then it was likely that my mother's dog would have chewed at the cyst until it burst, likely causing an infection. I appreciate all of SVH's hard work!

My cat has a rare disease and the vet took the time to find it. Even did a second blood screening at no cost to me. They improved my cats health 1000%!! Forever grateful!

My cat rebel was attacked by a dog so i called and they were fully packed. they still made time for my cat and treated him. It did take over 7 hours , 9am to 5:10 - however they had surgeries and, they did the best they could as far as i know. The price was reasonable. No random fees or stupid charges like some other vets.

I took my dog to get checked because of loose and bloody stool. It was his first vet visit with me (I adopted him last summer). The staff was wonderful! They got us in and seen quickly, and Dr. Thompson was very sweet! The cost was super affordable, too! I will definitely be coming back for his regular check-ups. Thank you!

All 3 of these vets and their staff have been amazing. Our dog, Asha had excellent care from the very first visit until the last one. Everyone has been helpful, knowledgeable and compassionate. We can't thank them enough.

They we're fast as they knew I was worried about my dog. However, they performed an "exploratory" surgery?! When there was a "clear obstruction"?! Of course found nothing!!!! Shame on you for cutting my baby for no reason! And shame on you for charging me so much! You seen me coming that's for sure!

I’ve been going to Southland for a long time. My sister and daughter go there as well. I love Dr. Millie Hardigree and my dogs love her too. She is awesome at what she does. There have been days that the staff weren’t very welcoming but we all have those days! Millie has been helping me in ways that other vets would not and I appreciate it so much!

We are so grateful to our friends who referred us to Dr. Millie. Her and her staff have been nothing but helpful with our dog. Always able to get in quickly. Wonderful, caring team. We will never go elsewhere. Super convenient location too!

I have been seeing Dr. Thompson to treat various issues that my dog has been having. She has been absolutely wonderful. She has been very patient and kind when handling my countless questions. I have also loved her approach to testing and treating my little Minnie. Dr. Thomas and the entire staff have been absolutely wonderful! I can not recommend them enough.

The staff gave me and my new blind doggie the best care. Very fair pricing. After my poor dog passed, (after a pretty short life), they helped me send her to a better place. Then in the mail, I received a sympathy card, signed by all the staff, saying how sorry they were for our loss, etc. it was touching and shows that they care about animals and their people!!

The Southland Vet Clinic staff and Dr. Hardigree have cared for my cats for over twenty years. Their love and compassion for animals is evident in everything they do. One of my cats, who has since passed on, was a wonderfully sweet animal when she was at home, but turned into "a puma with a bad attitude" whenever she visited the vet. Even with her, they were patient, understanding and kind.

Update: Two years later and I couldn’t be happier to bring my pets here. Fantastic care provided by some of the nicest people you will ever meet. Original: I'm new to the area and with several cats and dogs, I needed a new vet quickly. I've only been a few times, but I've already found them to be well stocked with special diet food, professional, and most importantly, caring. An additional plus is that the facility always smells good!

I will be filing a complaint with the Kentucky Board of Veterinary Examiners regarding the maltreatment of my cat by the attending veterinarian.

This is just another chance to thank the "Pretty Ladies" as we have always refer to the women at Southland Veterinary Hospital. The Pie Dog (AKA escape artist ) was a guest there last week while most of the neighborhood was out frantically screaming and hunting for a crazy beagle-- while she was laying in the lap of luxury with her friends down on Southland Dr.. Thank you for calling so many times (on the home phone ) to find us while we were out and for the care you showed several years ago when my other dog Lucky was lost in a snowstorm and you were instrumental in helping me find her. This is the only vet for us .

Southland Veterinary Hospital could not have been more accommodating when our dog needed emergency care. They were very helpful and welcoming despite the fact that we had no appointment and were first time visitors to the hospital. When our dog continued to need follow up care, they went above and beyond to help him get better. The price was more than fair and the provided care was above average.
