Great knowledgeable doctors who seem to take an interest and care. We have been pleased with the care that our pup has received.

Dr. Baird and all the staff have treated me and my dogs with nothing but care and compassion. I have used this clinic for many years and always left the clinic feeling like my dogs received the best care possible and my questions and concerns were addressed. I would highly recommend Mountain Empire Small Animal for anyone looking or needing a vet clinic for their pets.

Dr. Scott is my absolute favorite vet. He is so down to earth and practical with amazing common sense.

Dr. Scott is by far the best vet I've ever taken my pup to. He's so invested in figuring out my pups condition. He actually cares, its refreshing to see. The staff overall is wonderful.

The staff is always super friendly always ready to answer questions and Lind a Helping Hand. And they're always so thorough with my puppies making sure that everybody is Tip-Top. Not saying that I haven't got my favorite veterinarians down there but they are all super great I would definitely recommend them to anybody. Even though my cookie wasn't happy in her cone of shame they still take very good care of her and she promises made no more fighting

Horrible place to take pets if you are a compassionate person with your fur babies. The front desk person acted like she did not care about her job.. . Indifferent. Dr. Baird knows his stuff but is not compassionate toward people or their animals. He was basically a jerk. (I love when vets put "Christian" in their profile and they are anything but....). He was condescending, did not care about my pet, was rude to me, and I would never go back there. My pet was even uncomfortable around him. Big red flag Luckily there are two vets in the area who friends have recommended. Saw another person on here give this place a high rating and her husband was a doc who had to give up his license for over prescribing medications. He also had office girl give injections to patients instead it having clinical personnel do it ...Her husband was well known in our area and among other docs as a quack . That tells me all I need to know as well.

Extremely hight, they wanted $300 just to neuter a dog, didn't ask what kind or size and that's just that start price!

Dr. Baird is one of the best vets around. We moved to Charleston, South Carolina and I still bring my dogs back to Mountain Empire for as much of their medical care as possible.

I love this place. My Husband and I boarded our cat here when we went on vacation and they took really good care of him. In addition, Dr. Baird saw our cat for a minor skin allergy and he was very knowledgeable and personable. Reasonably priced also.

Things have changed! Better all the way around.

If you’re looking for a rude, hostile vet who lacks compassion, then Dr. Lilly is the one for you!! On more than one occasion she has raised her voice at members of my family and I will NEVER take my pets there or recommend them solely because of her and her lack of empathy and professionalism. The patients and their parents deserve better.

The lady who answered the phone, the one who held Luna so that she could get an X-ray and the vet... these 3 ladies saved my cat Lunas life. My best friend Luna is a snowshoe cat. After getting divorced after 20 yrs of marriage my ex wouldn’t give me my 2 cats that I bottlefed and slept with every night for 3 years since they were born. I was lonely and here comes Luna. She saved me from doing some pretty not so good stuff. I honestly think that if I didn’t have her my life would have taken a drastic turn for the worse. So after she gave birth I noticed she wasn’t feeding the babies like she should. It was early and I thought she had another baby inside her. I knew she had a fever by feeling her head and she was just so lethargic. She was dying. My daughter and I called every vet in the book and every vet turned me down. Not caring about the lives of the babies or the life of the cat who saved my life. I was trying to do the same for her. I did not have $400 or 500 just laying around. Unfortunately I’m not in that bracket. My bracket is save leftover food. The lady at Robinson spoke to me like I was a bother to her! How dare I call her! She said “ Call me back when you get money “!! The very last one was Mountain Empire Vet. My god the lady answering was empathetic and spoke with concern in her voice about helping Luna. I was able to get her in 2 hours from then. These ladies saved my cats life I want to personally thank the girls for this. From the bottom of my heart Thank you!’

Fantastic vet. They worked their schedule to be able to get us in for an emergency visit. And the prices were very reasonable.

Not saying the whole place is messed up, but the top roster vet here acts like a wack job, in it for the money, little empathy, talks to clients like they're wasting his time by providing work for him. Disrespectful and condescending. His actual medical handiwork? Like a bad mechanic... worst vet experience I've ever had. I wish more doctors would learn to act like caregivers. This is not an act of defamation, it's an honest review! Do better! (Bless the nurses here, they are outstanding and have provided so much help!!! Of course, leave it to some man signing the checks to stink the place up!)

they were very respectful and helpful. i had to put my 10 year old Nuk to sleep and they were very simpathetic.

Wonderful vets wishing Covid would end we have a rescue pit and we are afraid he will be scared but they do everything they can to make him feel safe with them

New here and needed a vet asap. I never got to make an appointment for my dog, that was throwing up for over 12 hours. The girl told me they were too busy. Will never try them again.

I have been bringing my pets here for years and have appreciated the care and attentiveness of Dr. Hart, but I have to say that I cannot say the same for Dr. Baird. Last week, he spayed my cat and a week later, her internal dissolvable sutures were busted open. He was able to squeeze her in for restitching on the same day. I explained that she is a highly energetic cat and asked if there are mild sedatives that she could have to keep her from running and jumping around so much. While the nurse told me that pharmacies can compound sedatives for cats, Dr. Baird said there are no sedatives for cats and that I should just keep her in a crate for the next two weeks. Because I was not comfortable keeping her crated for that long and because I knew that pharmacies can compound meds for cats, I called back to question what Dr. Baird told me. He said he would have to call a pharmacy and “jump through some hoops” to see what he can do to try and get the meds that I was asking for. Doctors write prescriptions, it should not be such a big deal for a doctor to perform this simple task. I don’t appreciate that he acted like he was doing me a favor when I had to ask more than once for him to simply do his job. I have always recommended this clinic to my friends and family, but from now on I will always be sure to include the disclaimer that they should avoid Dr. Baird.
