I cannot thank the staff enough for their compassion and willingness to work with my family when we had an emergency and they were extremely short staffed. I will absolutely recommend.

They take wonderful care of my cats and dog. They are always kind a courteous and get you in in a timely manner. Been going here for years!

UPDATE - 4 December 2021. After I lost my last dog, I did not believe that I could ever go through the pain of losing my constant companion, my best friend, my everything. But, as the Pandemic became more threatening with each new day, I was approached by a neighbor that knew of a dog that needed a new home. I knew the dog, because I had lived next door to this dog. She and my dog would say Hi, but they mainly kept to themselves. Although I did know this dog, I wanted to ensure that she and I would be a good match. So, I asked my neighbor if she could spend a night with me. Within a matter of no more than three hours, I knew that she and I were meant to be together. So, after a two year hiatus, I returned to Boones Creek Animal Hospital with Sara, my Chow/Pomeranian mix. After more than a year, I took Sara in for a minor issue. I was asked if Sara had been drinking an excessive amount of water, and not eating as usual. The answer to both questions was YES. Turns out, Sara had Diabetes. I started her on twice daily insulin injections, and she was not great, but she was managing. She was small - 24 pounds - I had to lift her up so she could sleep with me, and I would have to get her off the bed as well b/c it is very high. One Sunday night, we went to bed as usual. I woke up around 2:30 a.m. When I got back in bed, Sara moved so as to be touching my leg. When I woke up four hours later, she had passed away, silently, in her sleep. Monday morning, I wrapped her in her favorite blanket, and took her to Boones Creek. They are all so caring there - and they loved Sara. Sara was the 10th dog I have had as a companion since I was 8 years old. Thank you Boones Creek Animal Hospital for helping Sara, and me. ****Previously Published Review**** I have taken my last four companion animals to Boone’s Creek Animal Hospital, after a recommendation from my Brother. In 2019, I have been taking my animals here, and to Dr. Lamar, for 9 years. I’ve lived in Cincinnati, Washington, D.C., Nashville, and a few other much larger cities (that I would like to forget) than Johnson City. NONE have provided the combination of First-Rate, Cutting-edge veterinary medicine, coupled with a staff that is involved, caring, and proactive in checking on my animals well-being. They have taken me through the passing of three of my companions, In a very short time span, and their true love of animals has meant more to me than any medicine could ever provide. When I leave Johnson City to relocate to the Midwest, I know that I am leaving an animal hospital that, here in the mountains of Upper East Tennessee, is the epitome of a “World Class” animal care facility. THANK YOU BOONES CREEK ANIMAL HOSPITAL, DR. LAMAR, AND ALL THE WONDERFUL STAFF. I will miss you - as will my animals!!!

Coming from NY this is my second animal hospital in the area. I like this better than Jonesboro. They have a professional and clean atmosphere. Their vets are top notch. What I cant seem to find yet is a vet that charges REASONABLE prices here in E. TN. I'm from NY. The highest priced state in the US and they are trying to charge me 30.00 to clip my dogs nails? When I only paid 10 in NY? 30.00? To clip my dogs nails. Let that register a second. Apoquel is 2.00 a pill when I can get it in NY for 1.00 a pill....they really need to bring their prices down. I will stay with them a bit because I love their vets, but I may end up shopping for a new vet.

I feel like there are not enough positive reviews for the veterinary industry and people are so quick to judge and post negative reviews. I had a very pleasant time with Boones creek this morning. The staff were professional, kind, and educational. I appreciate everyone at this hospital! So does butterscotch but maybe in not so many words! ❤️????

Great care for my dogs!

Doc is great. Very knowledgeable and you can tell she loves the animals. All the people we have dealt with are very kind,and caring. The Doc sat me down and was very thorough in her explanation of our cat's issues and a treatment plan.

I absolutely love Dr Baker. She has helped my chunk of a cat Sassy several times and I will never go elsewhere again! Sassy feels so much better now and is a happy girl????Nice office and great girls upfront.

My pets have been at this practice since it opened and I have always been so pleased with the care here! Most recently, my dog had surgery, and the staff and doctor were so attentive and sweet to him and to me. They called to check up on him as they always do, which is a wonderful little perk of having your pets treated here. Thank you for giving us great quality care for all these years!

Our sweet Cinnamon went in for a spay. The ladies at BCAH were so sweet to her. They took great care of our fur baby and Cinnamon was excited to meet them all.

Dr. Baker and the team are exceptional at what they do. Very thorough, timely, kind and helpful. I have found my fur children’s permanent vet clinic at Boone’s Creek Animal Hospital. Not a better one around.

I really liked how they treated my daughter's kitty. They clearly care about animals. Everyone was polite, and their entry was well thought out. I would go again.

I was very pleased with BCAH. I’ve visited several vets in the past 7 months and we have finally found our fit. The office was very clean and the staff is wonderful. They were very helpful, caring and didn’t pressure me into having any unnecessary tests done.

Great experience! Very impressed with attention to detail in history gathering and also the caring handling of my dogs by both tech and vet. I love the ease of app and communication by text....makes it easy for me to respond as convenient! This new client is here to stay....

I had a horrible experience here it is very overpriced for first time wellness visits. It was double what other vets cost, and when i commented on how steep the price was I was told that if i wasn’t willing to pay the price then I should just surrender my kitten. I don’t mind paying I just know that all of my friends have had wellness checks for their pets that cost them half of what my bill was. I was told that having a pet is a big responsibility and that if I wasn’t willing to pay then I shouldn’t have it.(if i wasn’t responsible or willing to pay for my cat I wouldn’t of even brought her in for shots and a wellness check). Would not recommend to anyone save your time and money and go to another vet. I will not be back. The actual vet was very nice but the lady helping the vet was very unkind and treated me with little respect.

Staff was very professional and prompt. I didn’t have to wait long to be taken to the back. They addressed all the concerns I had for my dog. Definitely will go back to them.

We took our senior dog in to see Dr Baker and she was wonderful with our Lily. She was very professional, knowledgeable and explained everything to us. I highly recommend Dr Baker and Boones Creek Animal Hospital.

Woman who I talked to was very rude on the phone. Did not even try to help me and my friend get an appointment. When we came in on Saturday to get a walk in, my friend asked how long it would take because we had work. She said we should have made an appointment even though when we called to make an appointment that option wasn’t given to us. We were told to come in on Saturday. Also a lady told my friend that she shouldn’t have the cat just because she was confused about some of the vet bills and what all was being charged and tested for her pet. If she didn’t want to care and rescue her pet, she wouldn’t be coming in to get its shots. During the whole visit, the lady was very disrespectful and condescending. Acted like my friend wasn’t also an adult who understood bills and responsibilities. I definitely think there needs to be an attitude adjustment, but the actual veterinarian was very nice.

They worked us in when they had no appointments available. The staff were very professional and kind. We will definitely choose Boones Creek Animal Hospital for our pet’s care when we’re in the area.

Today was my very first visit. I had to bring my cat max in.. Everyone was so very nice from the minute I walked in..I was placed in a room immediately and the staff came in to talk to me. I was told up front what the plan was and exactly how much things would cost. I was definitely pleased with our visit

We love visiting Boones Creek Animal Hospital for routine issues like vaccinations and exams. Unfortunately, we also have to visit them occasionally because of acute issues with our dogs. Every time we have needed them, they have been there with compassionate, professional and excellent care. Can’t give any higher recommendation for these good folks.

They are very good to listen to concerns and explain any issues with my Sophie.
