The young lady at the register was exceptional. She had people skills, interpersonal skills, she was knowledgeable, friendly and was engaged with her job as if she had an investment with her employer. She represented the Petco brand well.

Went to pick up my order using curbside pickup. I got there confirmed I was there to pick up using the app. I waited about 5 minutes so when I heard nothing from the store I called. I sat on hold for another 4-5 minutes. The phone was then picked up and I could here the store noises in the background, yet no one said anything as I was saying hello, hello. So I called back a woman named Mary Shannon answered the phone I told her I was waiting out from for over 10 minutes for my order and she said that was the first time the phone rang. Next she comes out to my car I show her my id through my passenger window to confirm I am the one picking up my order. I ask her to put it in the passenger side back seat. She with an attitude rips open my back door throws the bag of dog food in and slams my door shut and walks away. At this point I have had it. I go inside to find a manager and Mary Shannon comes out of her office and says what can I do for you. I said I want to speak to a manager and she explained she was the manager on duty. I said ok can I have the store manager information she said we don’t have one. I said can I have the district supervisor number then and she said no if you have a problem call customer service. She then told me to get out of the store I was being rude. I cannot believe how terrible the customer service is there. She acted like I was bothering her and I was wrong for the way I was acting when she was basically damaging my property. She should not be working in a customer service based role with her attitude and violent tendencies. Unexceptable!!

The manager or assistant manager here is studying animal science in college. She was SO helpful to me with the 10 day old kittens I found...I brought one in and she showed me how to care for them, recommended supplies like bottles formula and a bed..and even gave me a discount! I can't say enough about the wonderful customer service I received. The store always looks great, too. Excellent location in Brentwood as well.

Dropping my dog off early. About 30 min before appointment. About 10 open cages to hold her in. She’s 8lbs. After waiting 10-15 min I opened back door to grooming area and said hello loudly. There was a girl vacuuming. She removed her earphones and said “yes”. I said I just needed to drop my dog off. She looked at phone/time and said we usually don’t take them till 15 min before appointment. I said I just needed to get to work and needed to bring her early. Now understand that there are about 10 empty cages. No dogs in holding area at all. Her response to me was “I’m working too and you’ll need to wait outside until Im done.” My response as Im walking out to the on duty mgr was your employee is a b and she needs to be fired. Customer is always right! Period. There was no need in this attitude. We will never step foot in that place again! They do a mediocre job at best anyway. We just wanted to support what looks like a business on life support anyway.

I made an appointment for a bath for my senior dog. She had been to this location once before for a bath and the groomer on staff at the time did a decent job. Upon arrival for my 9AM appointment, I was refused service, and told it was “company policy” not groom this breed (Yorkshire Terrier) for which a collapsed trachea is a common condition. This “policy” was not explained to me when I made the appointment. The refusal to provide service is particularly puzzling given my dogs full medical history and proof of vaccination was provided upon her very first appointment for a bath. In addition to the significant inconvenience of traveling to this location, I raised concerns about the apparent and pervasive violation of “company policy” as my dog, and other Yorkshire Terriers have clearly been customers of this location and others across the country. When I asked for a copy of the policy, it could not be produced and when asked for the name of the store manger, to address my concerns, the employee could only provide his first name —- yet another example of the unfortunate lack of organization and knowledgeable grooming professionals, others have commented on in their recent reviews.

Don't order same-day delivery here. They wait until 3:30pm day of to cancel your order even though the items are in stock at the store. Not worth the risk, especially if it's time sensitive. They won't do anything to fix it, and they don't offer an explanation. Good luck talking to anyone helpful from their call center, you'll just get hung up on after 10+ mins on hold (happened twice). Your only options are to place another order and hope it doesn't happen again, go pick it up at the store yourself, or, like me, just never order from this place again.

Denise in the grooming center was so wonderful!!!! I accidentally booked my appt for the wrong location. The first person was unhelpful but then Denyse came by and was so accommodating, kind to wolfgang my husky, and figured out a solution to be able to take him in!! We need more people like Denise in the world! ????????????

We waited for over an hour for our dog to be bathed which was the timeframe the groomers gave us. When we arrived to pick our dog up he had been in the kennel the entire hour and no one had groomed him. Very disappointed with this store.

We made an appointment for our border collie to receive a cut and Bath. -All bread have different cut and hair types- I assume their groomer went to grooming school- but maybe that’s a poor assumption on my part- so you should know what breeds get shaved and what is a cut/trim. We picked him up and he was shaved. He didn’t arrive a matted mess and you DONT shave a long hair border collie- a google search would tell them that. ????????‍♀️ The person he was scheduled with called out sick and it sounds like he was shoved off on someone else. I would have rather them cancel than to have some over worked employee who’s rushing and doesn’t know what to do just shave him down. Never again - poor dog won’t need a grooming for the next year. ????

The girl who checked me out (taller with dark hair and amazing nails) was SO AMAZINGLY helpful! She spent a great deal of time with my family and me as we worked though SO many questions about hamsters and adding to our hamster crew. She owns 4 hamsters and her knowledge base was incredible, so very much appreciated!

Really disappointing. The store was sold out of feeder superworms. There were out of my bird food and they have NO BIRD TOYS!!!! no joke they don't even have them. No isle at all! I was told to purchase toys for other animals to give my bird. Unacceptable! I won't return to this store. All I bought was canned silk worms and a bag of half dead crickets.

I love curbside pickup! I usually order online, take my dog to the park, and by the time we're headed out, the Petco order is ready for pickup. The biodegradable, dog poop bags is a re-order. I'm a fan of the bags. Figured out my dog went through about 300 bags in a year!
