I like pet world because they always have the stuff thats hard to find elsewhere. Additionally the staff is super knowledgeable and nice. But its just usually pretty dirty and just not great on the eyes. Overall though I'd recommend it. But i did purchase expired treats once so be sure to check expiration dates lol

All the tanks were dirty and the place smelled like pee. I felt bad for the animals. The bunnies had bedding matted in their fur.

So far 4 out of 6 fish are still a live. Two died about 3 days after I got them

I go here for all 5 of my pets stuff They have a very sweet and knowledgeable staff and I've never had a bad experience coming here in the 5 years I have been. They even won me and my sons hears over with a baby Dumbo rat ❤️????

No idea how they pass the inspections. They can not be very strict, sadly.

This place smells so bad! I had to cover my nose with my shirt because the ammonia was so strong.

Had a few large shark and pleco questions and the fish guy helped me save them both. He knows his fish!!

One of the best fish stores in Wichita Kansas. But like all businesses they are having stocking problems. They only got about 60% of the weeks fish order! But Mark and Mike are great! Very knowledgeable!

Every time I have visited this pet store the reptile area smells horridly of ammonia. I feel so sorry for the reptiles. They are not kept correctly. Not the best store to attend for your pets needs.

I bought a dove for my daughters birthday on Saturday. They are 1 for 40 or 2 for 60. It is now Monday and the bird is not doing good alone. She’s shaking, throwing herself against the cage and has not Made a sound. I called the pet shop to see if I could still get the 2nd bird for the 2 for 60 and the guy said no even though the bird is obviously in distress from being alone. I then asked what the warranty was on their animals/birds and he said there is none. What a joke. Don’t buy any animals from this place. Their customer service sucks. By the way It’s only been 2 days since I bought the bird. I spent over $100.00 in that store. Never again.

We go there every few weeks to get live mice/rats for our pet snakes to eat. It's pretty cool to look around in it.

I used to buy my feeder crickets from PetSmart and always had them die pretty quickly, despite giving the crickets the good Flukers orange cubes and Flukers water gel. We tried Pet World when PetSmart was out of feeders awhile back, due to their entire shipment arriving dead! And this is what we've been feeding our gecko? Pet Worlds prices are better, and I didn't lose any - definitely will keep coming here!

Our family loves coming here! We especially like getting assisted by Mark. He's awesome!!

They had a great selection, but be prepared for a terrible smell. A lot of their fish tanks need work and properly takin care of.

I have 3 teenage boys with autism. They let my boys touch and hold animals. I really appreciate the staff taking time to answer their questions. Great selection of fish.

we've gotten 3 amazing rats from here, all of the animals are nice and never sick handled daily and employees are nice

Very helpful and they know what they are talking about. They have helped me with my fish tank a lot. Their fish are healthy and make sure you get the best fish possible. Their prices are also very reasonable.

We went to buy fish. The smell inside is so strong! We tried to tough it out to see the fish, but couldn't handle it and left. So sad because this place used to be awesome.

Got a ferret here her name is Maddie she is doing very good she is very hyper and tomorrow she's going to have a playdate she's very healthy and she loves playing I totally recommend buying a ferret here but please do by a bigger cage from online like The feisty ferret cage or any cage that is really big because the cages that they have here are really tiny and I just don't like them but she lives in a pretty good sized cage

Went to pet world to get my stepson a bird. Most (if not all) small animals were absolutely infested with mites. A bird in one cage was dead because they had moved it and forgot about it so it ultimately starved to death. I bent down to pet one of the guinea pigs and i could tell just by touching it that it was very sick. The guinea pig barely moved when i touched it. I called animal welfare and apparently they have had issues with this store before. Inhumane, unethical, and downright disgusting. Do not buy your pets here, you are risking your fur babies at home. Horrible.
