Broadmore Pet Retreat has always taken such good care of my dog whenever we've been out of town. It is always reassuring to know that our pet is in good hands while we are away.

I was a 5 year customer of Broadmoor Kennels, sending my lab for day care services when he was a puppy. I was surprised when boarding him this week that my lab came back in severe pain. He can't walk because Broadmoor Kennels failed to follow very specific medication instructions. In fact, they used none of the medication and would not believe me every time I told him all the medication I packed came back. You would think after being a customer for 5 years that would get me some credit along with the photo showing all the meds that were in the containers I sent. If your fur baby is in need of more than just food, water, and to be let out, I would look elsewhere. I'm highly disappointed in how my lab was treated and how I was treated. Oh and I've never worked there so if there's a response that I'm a disgruntled employee like their other bad reviews, it isn't true. Appreciate the flat apology and no other offer to make it better, but how I was treated was just bad customer service. I won't be returning.

I'm not sure what to think of this place. The reviews are positive. But my experience was far from positive. After scheduling a tour, my wife and I were met by the owner who informed us that a tour was in fact not possible because of Covid. What?! Even with masking and proof of vaccination, customers are not let in? It makes you wonder. We'll be boarding our dog elsewhere.

Broadmoor Kennel is an awesome place to have my fur baby groomed ... Since moving her from Denver... I have tried many places to have my cat shaved with out being put under sedation … I finally found a place efficient, quick and no drugs! She loves to be groomed They are very welcoming when I bring her in! She looks great and is happy when she comes home ????????

The people at Broadmore Kennels are wonderful and kind. Two things you want out of someone who is taking care of your furry family members. We boarded our larger than life fluffy son, Yogi for 5 days and felt completely at ease the entire time we were away. We loved being able to see what he was up to on their daily social posts. We will definitely be using Broadmore Kennels again.

We left town for a week and needed to board our 7 month old chocolate lab. When we picked him up he was happy, clean, and very well taken care of.

My dogs are 8 and have been coming here since they were puppies. Clean, friendly, outdoor play yard time is included. I highly recommend boarding your dogs here.

I don't even know how long we've been taking our dogs here, but I will never take my dogs to another place! They return happy, and even better behaved than when we left them off! I would give more than five stars if I could!

My puppy really loves it here and I love all that they have to offer! Great place to bring your dog for daycare and they offer great grooming services also.

Dogs are only outside for several minutes at a time. Beds are not properly sanitized. No water available for dogs during play. Wire kennels in bk1 are cheap and constantly break, allowing dogs to get into other kennels, or even worse cut themselves on the wire. Gravel play yard with no sanitation. You pay to keep your dog in a kennel for hours out of the day. Might as well keep them at home.

I purchased the 10 day package, which they allow us to use in half day increments. It works great for my schedule and my seems to love the daycare, getting to play with other dogs. He has always fallen asleep in the car in the way home

We use Broadmore for daycare and training. The training completely changed our dogs behavior and they were wonderful at helping us be better dog handlers ourselves

This is not a doggy daycare. This is a short term kennel masquerading as a daycare. The dogs are not outside in groups most of the day like you are told, they spend most of their day in kennels, alone. This facility has room to board more than 75 dogs but has ONE yard for the dogs to play in. The other two yards are used one dog at a time for dogs that are deemed unacceptable for daycare. There is not 3 yards for play. The dogs are ran from kennel to yard for maybe 15 minutes just a few times a day. Dogs do not get to play or interact with other dogs like they normally do at a daycare. I’m horrified that they are not more forward about the fact that if you take your dog here for daycare, it’s going to sit in a kennel until you come pick it up.

Our older dog requires a little extra care, and we have had some bad experiences with boarding her elsewhere. Glad we found Broadmore, they take excellent care of her. She starts to get excited when we pull into the driveway, so I know she has fun when she's there, and they do a great job with the extra care she requires. Highly recommended, best boarding we have found.

We have been taking our shorkie to Broadmore for a couple of years now, we have always had a great experience! Close proximity to western Lenexa and Bonner Springs( worth the couple extra minute drive!) they have a friendly staff who are always very helpful!

I have used Broadmore Kennels for several years to board my 3 small dogs, and they love it as do I. The staff is always courteous, friendly, and professional. One of my dogs requires a complicated medical routine, and I feel confident that it is administered correctly. When I leave them, they happily go with the staff member, so that makes me feel better about leaving them, and when I pick them up, I can tell they have been well cared for.

These guys are great! My parents use them all the time for doggy-day-out or for extended periods of time! They take great care of your fur baby and have an excellent staff!

They love on my dogs. Our two dogs can stay in the same kennel because of their size which helps with anxiety for our older one.

For bathing/grooming, I don't recommend. I used to bring my beagle to be bathed without issue. I adopted a large mixed-breed dog and brought him in to be bathed. Thirty minutes after dropping him off, Broadmore called and said he was "done." What takes 2 hours for my beagle took only less than 30 minutes for my new dog. When I picked him up, his tail was bleeding. They claimed it was from him wagging his tail in their kennel. Never happened in his kennel at home (much smailler than theirs) and hasn't happened since. He was wet but, not bathed. No nail trim either. They said they had to stop once they noticed his tail was bloody. I still had to pay the full rate despite nothing having been done. He was wet and smelled like a dirty wet dog. And, he tail bled for hours. Had to take him to the vet. With the vet visit and the non-bath, this cost well over $100. End result? A dirty wet dog with a bloody tail. I do not recommend Broadmore for anything, given their demand I pay for them to have only injured my dog! Horrible experience! Will not return! 7/1/19: Updated: the owner called me about my experience and refunded what I had paid them, as well as the vet bill for the "happy tail". Much appreciated!

We love Broadmore Kennels...that is my little pomeranian, Bunny, and I! She has attended Daycare and been groomed at Broadmore with no complaints from either of us. They always make a big fuss over Bunny and I feel like she is in loving and safe hands with all of the staff. I tell everyone in the area to check them out. Truly the best kennel and grooming I have ever done business with!

We have been taking Teddy to Broadmore Kennels for over 3 years when we travel, and we have had the most wonderful experience. Not only is he happy when we drop him off he is happy and clean when we pick him up! It is a wonderful thing to know your 13 year old pup is in good hands when we leave him there!
