We utilized this clinic years ago during a period of time that I was staying home with our newborn. We sought out as we realized that our lab’s necessary annual vacc/checkup, not to mention the name brand food we’d been feeding her, were not in the budget. The care she received here was kind and practical, offered at an affordable sliding scale rate. I am forever grateful.

I went in there with my injured Dog and they had no openings and they immediately took her and opened an opening and looked at my dog and gave him medication and helped him and I didn't even hardly have to pay anything

I stopped in today to pick up a flea treatment for my dog, it was a very easy process and the two ladies at the front counter were very pleasant and professional. Thank you for your help and keeping my dog flea free.

Love the employees at the Humane Society! My little Willie got his first puppy shots here, then I brought him back to get neutered! Believe me he’s my little heart throb! My husband of 50 yrs passed away in August this year, I was devastated, I didn’t know how I could go on! Then my grand daughter did a amazing thing and bought Willie for me, my life changed! If people don’t believe that these little pets can change a persons life they have never opened their hearts to find out! Please adopt a pet and trust their needs to this humane society, they are very loving, caring people! I would not take my little Willie just any place, only the best! That’s where I took him! Willie has recuperated just fine , no issues! Trust them you won’t be sorry!

Many thanks to the HSGKC crew for assisting my neighbor with their kitten’s spay. On the day of surgery the communication was great and her incision looked really good. Kitten was happy and healthy at pick up. The staff went out of their way to assist my neighbor financially with the clinic visit and we sincerely appreciate it. Shelter/clinic work is a thankless job and their efforts meant a lot to us.

Still making patrons wear masks but most workers didn't. Still make you trap a feral cat with trapper but do not offer even rental of these cages, even when you are willing to pay for spay/neuter and shots. Those who came to car to get your dog were professional and very pleasant. Vet (although we didn't get to see vet) did job quickly. No appointment routine is ludicrous, we waited 2.5 hours until they got to us. No hope for people who work having to wait for how long. We were told we might not even get in but did. I have always taken my animals here because they helped me neuter feral animals but with new procedures, I guess I need to shop for different venue. Certainly not helping with their policies.

We were pleased with outcome of our dog 's spaying. Also, we were impressed that Dr Goldston called prior to surgery to go over any questions or concerns. This really solidified our decision was right to take our dog there. We definitely will be using their other services in the future. Thank you ~

I absolutely love taking my fur babies here. They are so kind and don't judge your financial situation if you are low income. My dogs have always done well here.

The staff at HSGKC LOVE these animals. They seem to know the personalities of all the animals who are with them. Everyone is very nice and helpful. In 2019, my daughter's cat, who was by her side all through Chemo, passed away unexpectedly. Devastating! However, I took her to HSGKC and we were immediately allowed to meet all of the cats. The cats are in a big room full of activity. The director suggested CEDRIC as a very good match for my daughter. He is a wonderful cat! So sweet and loving. Before he came home with us they took care of all of his medical needs and made sure we knew how to care for him. Cedric has filled the hole in our hearts. This is a wonderful organization and well worth supporting!!!!!! Thank you to everyone there. I'm donating now.

The Humane Society of Kansas City is one of the most altruistic organizations in the Kansas City area. They are the voice for the animals that do not have forever homes and, more importantly, those with special needs. Their efforts to put those in their care in a position to succeed . heal, and grow are constant, ongoing, and relentless I am fostering a dog through the Humane Society of Greater Kansas City Shaela (ancient Gaelic for blind one) had recently had a mammary tumor removed, was blind, had Glaucoma, has Heartworms, and also has arthritis. Needless to say that there was not much demand for fostering her. Jai ( who is a big part of this story) from the shelter sent me a couple of videos of Sheala playing with other dogs at the shelter. She had her head up high, her big butt wiggling, and her tail whipping back and forth. Despite the fact that she had dealt a bad hand from the day she was born, she is loving, affectionate, and has double doses of loving for those who give her the attention that she deserves. During the fostering process, everyone at the shelter was courteous and helpful. They showed a genuine concern for the animals in their care. Jai is my contact at the shelter and I can tell you that she is the best support person for fosterers of special needs animals Jai is kind and compassionate and was there for me every step of the way. From introducing Sheala to my other animals. providing tips to get Sheala acclimated to the house, to post surgical care tips after Sheala had her eyes removed Jai treats off the animals in her care as if they were her' her own I have texted Jai at all times of the day and night and have always received a response. I never feel like I am imposing on her or being a nuisance. To show you how much she cares, I had to work the day that Sheala's had here eyes taken out and I could not come and get her. Jai said that she would bring her to my house after she got off work. What do you say about someone that does that? Sheala is a long term project and has a lot of obstacles to overcome but I am sure that she will make it. She is a warrior and with help from people like Jai in her corner, she will emerge with flying colors To those of you who have never considered fostering/adopting a special needs dog, I would suggest that you look in to it. Yes it is hard. It can be frustrating. Yes it takes time, But if you do it, I promise you that it will be one of the most rewarding things that you will ever do. You will also showered with love and affection from an animal who knows that they could have never made it without you

I am so grateful to the staff for getting me an appointment and treating my pup. I really appreciated the advice I received. It was honest and didn't make them more $$$ like some vets tend to push. My 18 year old Pomeranian went from barely standing to back to his feisty self in a few days and I'm so glad I get to spend more time with him.

I’m very pleased with the support, knowledge, communication and care that the clinical staff provides to the public. They answer your emails and That show’s they care. It’s worth your time and money to support their organization and have your pet/s be seen here. Thank you for answering my questions I had about Daisy’s after surgery care. That means a lot. You all deserve more than a 5 star ⭐️ and I’ll definitely be obtaining your services. Thank you again.

My roommate was a regular client of HS. He always struggled to pay for the vet care for is cat. And he sometimes missed his apntments. This clearly irritated the guy who runs the front area. Understandably. But he should have acted more professional, and less cold hearted. Not every client is perfect. His cat took a turn for the worse and was suffering alot. We brought it to HS on a Saturday afternoon for euthaniziation. All the money we had was 25$. The guy at front desk was aware of the cats pain and turned us away. I came up with another 20$ only 5$ short and he finally agreed to help us
