I can’t say enough wonderful things about Dr. Runnels and this clinic. I really love how they offer more of a holistic approach and don’t force anything that you’re not comfortable with (like over-vaccinating). The staff is always so pleasant and accommodating. I highly recommend this veterinary office. “Rezzi” approved.

The best, most caring vets in the city. Dr. Carrier is wonderful, as are his vet techs. I can tell he really cares about his patients. My bearded dragon and my rabbits are in the best care here. I'm really loving that they offer acupuncture and chiropractic also, that my trip bunny will win be taking advantage of. I also absolutely love that they do their appointments on the floor, safer and much more comfortable for my bunnies.

These guys are great for all exotics. We see Dr. Carrier and he's fantastic. The staff at the front can be hit and miss and it can be difficult to get appointment times or get the doctor to call back in a timely fashion. But they do a great job with care while you're there. Dr. Carrier listens and waits till you've fully explained the problem before doing anything. They don't try to nickel and dime you. And Dr.Carrier even discussed treatment of our dog over the phone so we wouldn't have to bring her in and incur more clinic fees.

My cat had its own cat room with soft music playing in the background. Unlike other animal hospitals, my cat was allowed to roam the room freely

This was my first time taking a pet here, I called because my ferret was having a very big emergency and they made room for my ferret last minute to see the doctor and get treated. These folks care, your pet will be safe here ❤️

I called because I have a family pet that is wounded badly and needs emergency evaluation. The staff asked if I was an existing client and I said no, because our animal has not needed care before. I explained the terrible wound that needed emergency evaluation and was told that since I am not an existing client, it would be 6 to 8 weeks to be seen, and that I should try another vet in Belton, MO. I am beside myself that they did not even ask a doctor if he could look at our animal.

In the east or in the west, Mariposa is the BEST.

Every aspect of service at this clinic is top notch - the care, concern, and consideration are seen and felt in how they interact with your pet, and the owners.

The staff are very helpful and friendly. I have a African Grey Congo parrot and Mariposa Veterinary Wellness Center is the only place I in the Kansas City area that I will take any of my birds. I highly recommend their services!

They truly care about your companions here. Seems hard to come by, and we dread the day that we have to find a new vet when we relocate to another state. <3

A buddy of mine had his bird pass away because they Apparently are too busy to see any new animals even though they are the only vet that handles birds around here

One of the worst places around they refused to help my friends parakeets one is dead and one very sick. It’s sad this is the only vet around that deals with birds and they won’t help

It’s been a couple of years since I did a non-invasive allergy panel with Mariposa. I have to say, it’s been 100% accurate. I could not be more grateful for their help. My cat is allergic to everything fish related, including fish oil. That eliminates 95% of the food market for him. He had such severe reactions for the four years before I went to Mariposa, that he had no hair on his back and he would cut himself open all the time. Side note- I have given him a limited diet without Science Diet (Hills). That is possibly the most unhealthy food on the market. Please look into raw diets before you put your pet on a prescription food that will give them other health problems. Thank you for everything! We haven’t had an allergic outbreak in two years!! I have found my vet for life.

We needed a different approach to our special needs dogs food. Staff are great

Hands down favorite vet service. They were organized, extremely clean, and very helpful. Both the vet techs I've worked with were kind and efficient, and Dr. Dodson made the cherry on top. I have two skiddish pets and I'm confident that this vet has the best interests for them. Even though this was their first time here, both of their behaviors were significantly more positive than any other place I've taken them to. Also, I'm not well versed in vet expenses, but I can say that what we needed was very reasonable.

No pics, but their care, concern, treatment and care advice is top-notch. No comparison to a regular vets office. Their holistic practices focus solely on the ongoing health and prevention of illness to your pet.

You are all amazing, the care taken to make sure that even a sad experience and the loss of an animal (due to quality of life issues that would not get better) was handled so gracefully, gently and with great care shows how much you care about people and animals. Dr. Burcham and the entire staff I've spoken to have been truly amazing. Thank you for all that you did for my family.

Dr Carrier and the whole staff are amazing and despite being insanely busy, they always do their best to make time for urgent matters. And my big old picky man-wary dog absolutely loves the while staff and her Doc!

Started out great but constant extra charges make no sense. Wellness exam every time but they miss some basic problems like black gunk in my cats ears. I have to point those things out but then what am I paying $40+ dollars for? And if you try to decline the wellness exam they tell you they can't see your pet. Vaccines? Wellness check charge. Fecal matter issue? Wellness check charge. Eye issue? Wellness check extra charge. Any visit just tacks on charges even if they saw your pet last week. Hoping they either do a better job and actually check for any issues or reduce the cost because all wellness exam seems like is weight check. Very dissapointed.
