I had to run my dog over here at 5:45 after she ate a tennis ball to induce vomiting. They got us in, had her throw it up and it wasn't too expensive. Staff is always professional and kind to us as well. Highly recommend.

I had above excellent care for my pets. I have been a customer close to 10 years. The original vet retired and I continued with the new vet.

Been going here for awhile. They are very responsive to concerns, such as my dog figuring out how to get out of a zen collar first and then later a cone.

They’re our go to veterinary care for our puppers. They’re so wonderful to work with and they remember your animals by name and love on them while they’re there. Clean and extremely well kept and organized environment.

I didn't think I would find someone for our pets who left me with the same confidence of our rural small town vet when we moved to Kansas City. We tried different vets and Union Hill wins hands down for the most science based, observant, practical, and professional staff. When other vets in the area were offering customer service antibiotics Union Hill offers evidence and best practice standards. I'm happy to trust the health of my cat and dog family members to their expertise.

To start, this vet is outrageously expensive. I was fine with it since my cats are my life and I thought more money would equal better care. Not the case. The doctors are had to work with and give ill-suited medicines for cats (giant pills and nose drops). To top things off, they gave my old, FIV positive cat ring worm during his dental exam. I brought him back for extreme hair loss after the dental and the vet tech was a little too quick in suggesting a fungal test. I assume they knew it was going around, but no one fessed up. We won’t be back.

The staff there are always so friendly, kind, and welcoming. The veterinarian who is also the owner particularly impresses me. She really knows her stuff & has even told me during a past visit that she is going to take some time on her own to research a specific matter further that I brought my dog in for. The treatment regimen she came up with for my pup was more effective than any other treatment other veterinarians have tried to address this particular issue. In addition, their prices are extremely reasonable. I highly recommend!

Vets and vet techs as well as the office staff are always very nice. Professional and fun. Both of my cats are not excited to go to the vet, but they end up being friends with everyone who comes in the room.

The following is an email I sent on Aug 21 2031: Today's date is Saturday August 21st. I ordered prescription refill for my dog Diesel on August 18th. As of right now at 9:39 Pacific standard Time I have not received my package, even though I paid the extra to have it overnighted. So to resolve this issue I called this morning Saturday morning right after you opened and asked what the deal was. Guess what I got no information and I got no satisfaction! The girl on the phone is nice as she was took no responsibility because she's not the one that's in charge of overnighting things... Hmmm... So containing my frustration I asked her what carrier do you use and could I please have a tracking number, once again complete ignorance and lack of responsibility from your employee. She couldn't even give me the carrier that you use to overnight packages, whether it's United States Post office FedEx or UPS. So in the end your employee and I both agreed to "HOPE" that my order gets here today 3 days after paying for overnight delivery. Meanwhile my dog suffers and if it doesn't get here today, and lo and behold tomorrow is Sunday nobody's in your office I'm sure so it'll be Monday before I can get anything resolved. Look it's one thing for somebody to have made a mistake or a delay in shipping I can understand all that. But when I call your office and I get an employee on the other end that says I don't know I don't know I don't know it's not my responsibility it's not my responsibility let's hope... That's where I have a real problem doing business with you in the future. I'm more than willing to pay the extra 14 cents per dose on my dog's medication to have the peace of mind that it'll be here when it's supposed to be here. And in closing I will say that your employee did state that she really cared and that's why she's working there so there is THAT, I guess... Jeff Gustafson (Diesel)

Sad when you're denied help cause your too poor

I have relived a history on both of my animals after months and months of disrespect and deadly allergies being exposed to my animals and the humans. They have had multiple reminders and I know for sure the very first appointment I told them a list of medications they take and the allergy list. Yet none of it was on the medical reports and I was sent home with deadly allergies multiple times. They are not respectful with ownership and refuse to talk to me about the issues to try to resolve them. They have nuts, latex, and gluten all over their place, and have been told that those are deadly allergies. Yet after many talks and being lied to that these things would be added to the chart they never were. I strongly suggest you save your money and lives of loved ones and go somewhere else.

Took excellent care of my senior cat when I felt like previous offices had been dismissive of her end of life quality. Pricey, but only as much as these things usually are/not unreasonable in any way. They even had an estimate upfront so no surprises. Adorable animals in the clean and comfy waiting room and friendly, informative staff. They gave me a text update when I had to leave her for care for several days and gave me great printed instructions for her new meds when I picked up. Glad to have found a downtown KC vet I like!

This place is amazing. The tech, the doctors, everything. They made me feel right at home as I was establishing new care! Will be taking my pets here as long as I'm in KC. 10/10 would recommend!

This place was unbelievable. I took my Chihuahua mix Joey to get chest x-rays and it was a great experience. The facility was very clean and vibrant. The vet tech Olivia and Dr. Williams were great in explaining everything and making my dog and I very comfortable throughout the visit. The prices were very reasonable. I drove 30 minutes to get here and will gladly make the drive again for their services.

Everyone was so kind and helpful! They are also very affordable which was a huge help. My cat got his look-over, IV drip + anti-nausea meds, a nail trim, and 4 cans of special food for just $145.

Wonderful staff work here. I would trust them with my animal any day of the week. Took my pup in to get dental work done, and they treated her very well. Very thorough and gave me plenty of info. Would recommend to any pet owner in the area.

By far the best vet experience I've had! My dog typically gets nervous and scared at the vet, but the entire staff treats him so well and manages his anxiety wonderfully. You can tell that everyone at Union Hill Animal Hospital truly cares about your pet.

I found UHAH during the peek of COVID as they were the only vet in Midtown I could find that would let me come in with my animals-a stipulation that is a must with my geriatric cats. I went on to visit with Dr. Austin for the next six month as my Amycat was dying from kidney disease, which she eventually succumbed to. Everything about this place, from the cleanliness, to young qualified staff eager to learn, to Dr. Austin's bedside manner while I turned into a crying mess over having to make the hard decision to end my cat's suffering, is what you would expect from a top-rated animal clinic. I strongly recommend Union Hill Animal Hospital.

The vets here went above and beyond to make my nervous dog comfortable. They made sure he was on the right medication for a visit, and took the time to let him sniff around outside while they vaccinated him in a more comfortable environment than the exam room. Thanks for caring for my dog so well!

I adopted my first two kittens, and was able to bring them in for a wellness check just 24 hours after calling to make an appointment. Everyone on the staff was so pleasant, and the technicians and the vets I spoke to were very knowledgeable and answered every question and addressed every concern I had. They made me and my kittens so comfortable that we fell asleep (see below). I would highly recommend Union Hill Animal Hospital to anyone. Thanks so much for such great service!

Staff was super friendly. Dr. Austin was very informative, and good with the pup.

They were very sweet and knew just how to handle our anxious, barking dogs. Our dogs have stranger anxiety but they were very good with them. Also, the doctor is very thorough and they came up with a perfect plan to make sure my fur babies stay in good health ????

Union Hill is a great vet! I was referred to them by a friend who has been taking her dogs there for 10+ years! All the staff are very friendly and Murphy gets lots of treats when we visit. Overall, a great place!

This is a great veterinary clinic! I have both a dog and a cat and the staff are so kind and good to them. They go over every procedure and really make sure that I, as the animal's owner, know exactly the cost I'm facing along with at the little details of the treatment. If you are looking to get set up with a vet in KC I highly recommend them!
