So, while pricey, the return is worth it tenfold. Dr. Crowder and team are a godsend. I brought my Pomeranian in to have her teeth cleaned as she has a collapsing trachea and larynx. They used an extra small endotracheal tube, and I knew they'd have the expertise to protect her airway. I also let them know about her existing sinus issues with sneezing, hard exhales to clear her sinuses and shaking of her head that even K State hadn't been able to figure out. Dr. Crowder went above and beyond, diagnosing an ear infection, cleaning up what she could and also letting us know about some other damage going on in my dog's sinuses. If you have a beloved companion that needs a little extra care and you need some peace of mind, I highly recommend Companion Animal Dentistry. Finally, we are on the right path to diagnose and treat my dog's issues thanks to Dr. Crowder. She listened and delivered much more than just cleaning my dog's teeth.

Amazing care for my beloved furbaby. The team was patient and thorough with explanations, and followed up. The 3 hour drive is worth the quality health care we receive each year.

Excellent care for my Maltipoo. He had an accident with another dog and ended up with a broken jaw. They were amazing and able to complete his surgery the same day. We're 2 weeks post surgery and he's doing great. He was back to acting like himself 2 days after surgery. Thank you for everything you did for Mumford.

Everyone there was kind considerate knew exactly what they were doing and treated my dog like she was a queen.

Dr. Crowder speaks rather fast without slowing down to explain the medical jargon she uses. When your pet might have cancer, it's already hard to take in all of the information you're being given. We had a big misunderstanding about a follow up appointment for my cat, where the clinic had just booked another follow up appointment, but I thought we were bringing him in for an imaging procedure. I had fasted him for 12 hours when I brought him in at 10am. We found the discrepancy but they said that they could still do the procedure. Apparently, there was an emergency case that came in which pushed my cat's procedure to later in the day (around 3pm). When I calmly communicated my upset that my cat had been left there, starving, for several hours, before being given any anesthetic, worried that he had been traumatized by the experience, and suggesting that the clinic could have communicated with me about the emergency and given me the option to reschedule, which I would have been glad to do, Dr. Crowder did not apologize, defended the actions, and told me that she would let her staff know that I preferred more communication. I told her that I believed that every client deserved better communication and that I was telling her this to give her the opportunity to improve her practice. All she said was thank you for the feedback with a big smile on her face. I don't doubt that she is good at animal dentistry. I just wish that the clinic had better processes in place, especially in communication, instead of having to deal with a medical professional who can't empathize with her customers.

The pricing structure here is a bit of a scam. Definitely make the trip to K state to save some money and see an arguably better doctor

I was referred to this place for a dental cleaning and possible teeth extractions. I wasn’t aware there is a $120 examination fee alone. I asked why it’s so much and I got this response “didn’t you ask how much the fee was while making the appt?”After we discussed what needed to be done they pulled out the estimated bill to be almost $2,374. That was beyond what I can afford. I have only had to pay up to $800 for teeth cleaning/extractions for my dogs at other places. I did not expect how expensive this place is. I still had to pay the $120 for them to just listen to her lungs and look at her teeth. Nothing else. Be aware the prices before making an appt. I do not recommend.

My little maltipoo got his jaw broken and every single vet I talked to in a 50 mile radius ALL said the best place for him was Companion Animal Dentistry. $3500 later he's on the mend. Though it was almost prohibitively expensive (and he still needs one more surgery.....) the care he received and the professionalism of the staff was absolutely top notch! I couldn't have asked for better.

We brought the dog in for a dental exam because she is in a lot of pain and will not eat or drink. She recently has an abscessed tooth that needs to be removed. This is advertised as a DENTAL OFFICE. They did not preform a dental exam but decided to have a lengthy discussion about cardiograms instead. The dog has had a heart murmur for 14 years and has done just fine during prior teeth cleaning. They refuse to treat the tooth unless we pay for an unnecessary cardiogram. High dollar bait and switch, only interested in money. Could care less about your pet. AVOID!!!

They took care of my cat who needed four tooth extractions. Very friendly, made sure to tell me how to contact them over the weekend with any questions about his recovery from anesthesia.

Dr. Crowder and her staff are amazing. She fixed what other veterinarians couldn’t and actually fixed other issues that were caused by those vets. If you have any concerns, don’t hesitate to contact this office. They are trustworthy, knowledgeable, and overall the best. I promise you’ll love her as much as we do! My family is so thankful for you all!!

The workers here are so kind! I drove from out of state to get my poor cat's teeth removed but had mistakenly made the appointment with the wrong vet. These kind people let me come in with almost zero notice and gave Gaz the best treatment. She is on top of the world now and feels so much better. If you are doubting taking your pet here, don't. They are world class.

The doctor removed my dogs teeth knowing she had oral cancer when he went in to do the extractions. My dog died shortly there after in misery until the day she died. Extremely poor judgment on the doctors behalf. Once he discovered the cancer he should have never of pulled her teeth. When I called back after he did the extractions there were complications he told me to call my vet.

Companion Animal Dentistry is hands down the best dental care for your pet! My American Bulldog - Spartan had some bleeding mass on his upper gum. Our vet recommended Companion Animal Dentistry, he said they are the best in the area. Doctor Susan Crowder was attending my dog. After receiving biopsy results it turned out he had cancer therefore a front part of Spartan's jaw needed to be removed. Doctor Crowder has performed this highly complex procedure brilliantly! Because this was a major surgery, I took my dog to the Mission Vet Center to be observed for a couple of days. When I came to see him the next morning, I learned that Doctor Crowder came by to visit him earlier, even though it was her day off. It took 4 surgical procedures to fix up my boy and now he is cancer-free, healthy, happy, and enjoys life to the fullest. Over the whole process that lasted a few months, the entire staff of Companion Animal Dentistry was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! I really felt that my dog is getting the best care, he was surrounded by loving and compassionate people and I always knew they have his best interest in heart. I am so grateful for everything Dr. Susan Crowder and her staff did for my boy. I would highly recommend Companion Animal Dentistry to anyone who’s beloved pet needs dental care. Spartan said: Hello, he loves you all.

My dog was attacked and had a broken jaw and lacerated vein, after driving an hour to three different vets we were referred here. They waited outside to take our boy in immediately to get him stabilized and some pain meds while they got information from us. For a place to drop everything and instantly take an animal in is incredible. They answered every single question we had and called us before, during, and after surgery. When it was time to go home we noticed some weird panting our boy was doing and they offered to take him right back in and make sure he was okay. As for price, I will never complain, there is no dollar amount too high when it comes to make sure my dog is okay. They gave us a detailed quote before and made sure we agreed on every price. The procedure ended up more than quoted so they gave us a discount to meet the quote. This place is INCREDIBLE! If I could give 16 stars I would. I’m so glad that fate brought us here. Every single tech, doctor, staff member loves animals and it shows! Thank you guys for treating my baby like your own!

If you're in need of specially dental work for your furry friends, this is the place! After a run in with a lawn edger resulted in a broken canine tooth, the staff and vets at Companion Animal Dentistry performed a thorough examination of my pup before recommending treatment. A price estimate was provided up front, so there were no hidden costs and the treatment was state of the art. It's clear they love helping keep animals healthy by promoting good oral hygiene and polishing their pearly whites!

Our Fergi's dental health had been neglected for several years due to concerns over putting her under anesthesia. Companion was recommended by our local vet and they were amazing. The techs and Dr Crowder are the best.

After 2 hour trip for a dental appointment for my dog the doctor refused to talk to me until after I checked my dog into his facility. I had, what to me, were some very valid and serious concerns prior to dental surgery that I wanted to discuss prior to turning my dog over to him. I guess for him was a billable hours/money thing. It was his way or the highway. I took the highway. After a 2 hour trip home, I'm looking for a new animal dentistry professional.
