I have been bringing my dog since he was a few months and he loves it every time. The staff are so friendly, I know he will be taken care of whenever I am out of town. I've even recommended them to all my friends with pets.

2 stars because my pup stayed here once and they bathed her and she seemed to have done well there. On the other hand, I have reached out to this kennel MULTIPLE times to schedule a reservation during business hours and they never answer!!!!!! Yes I leave voicemails MULTIPLE times and my calls are never returned. I even asked them to call me even if they don’t have a spot available. It’s absolutely unprofessional and I would rather find another kennel or Rover home since everyone is way more reliable than this place.

We have had a great experience at Elk Hound Ranch. The staff is super friendly and our pup got excellent instruction from Lea the trainer. We will be using Elk Hound Ranch for all our training and boarding needs for a long time. Thanks Elk Hound Ranch!

My pup has the best time and meets new friends at Elkhound Ranch. We call it "The Ranch". I've been a customer for about 7 years now and my pets always have a positive experience.

The owners of the kennel, Sara and Adam, are incredible, caring people who do everything possible to take the very best care of the pets entrusted to their care. Their staff, which includes a groomer and on-site dog trainers, are professional, knowledgeable and reasonably priced. The doggie daycare has been wonderful for my two dogs, Sadie and Silas. On the days they go to daycare, they come home tired and I get a break from the mandatory evening walk! Also, going to daycare once or twice a week keeps my two socialized to other dogs, which is a big plus. I highly recommend Elkhound Ranch Kennels!

We brought our Golden doodle up for 2 days while we were out of town. Purchased him a suite. When arriving to pick him up the woman at the counter informed me that Emmett seemed to be limping a little due to the gravel in the back. (Keeping in mind that he was outside when I picked him up) I took him home and watched him slowly getting around and whimpering. I laid him down and looked at his paws to see that he has what was confirmed by our vet to be burns from either chemicals or heat of pavement. (He was leaning more to chemical) When it was brought to their attention they claimed that some dogs have issues with the gravel outside. (Which may be true) We responded with what our vet has informed us and they denied that this was the issue. ???? My issue with the employees and establishment is that she knowingly allowed my pet to continue on outside with his limping and pain rather than cleaning the area and treating it properly. If it was in fact the gravel that caused the issue then they were completely neglectful and honestly abusive toward my dog during his visit. We asked on the phone if they have any intentions of changing their cleaning products (since it's likely a chemical burn) and she informed that they would not. They also denied any assistance with vet bill or reimbursement for his visit. Basically they didn't care at all. Save your pet from the pain they will endure after boarding here.

We just recently starting bringing our pups here but we’ve already brought them here for two separate stays in a months time. They are great with our dogs and they are very kind, caring people! We will be back lots more!

My baby girl is always so happy when we drop her off here for doggy daycare. The folks clearly know there stuff and you can tell they really care about animals. I trust and recommend highly.

I've been taking my Springer Spaniel to Elkhound when we vacation or head out for long weekends and they always take such good care of her! There is always a personal connection with the pet and feedback about her stay. They are conveniently located and reasonable in cost. Most importantly, I know she'll be taken good care of every time I bring her in which is such a relief and allows for a stress-free out of town experience. Elkhound is my go-to boarder!

First time I have ever had to board a pet. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. My dogs appeared happy and well taken care of. They were bathed and their nails clipped. I will definitely come back and would recommend them.

Had my two Boxer's stay here a couple of times. The staff seems very friendly and like they take really good care of my two furry children. The only con I have is being able to contact the facility by phone if I have questions. No one ever seems to pick up and you have to leave a message for them to call you back. Other than that, I will definitely be bringing my two pups back.

Elkhound Ranch is our go to place for boarding our Corgi. She enjoys participating in the play group when she boards and is always worn out when we pick her up!

Everyone here is so kind and welcoming. We have one very friendly dog, and one that has some anxiety with the kennels. They do a great job with both of them. I always know they’ll take great care of my fur family.

We did the board and train option with Bosco (8yr old German Shepherd) and Rico (11yr old Yorkie). Bosco was there for 3 weeks, Rico 2 weeks. The dogs we got back are very well behaved and live great together now. Bosco had never really been socialized with any other dog than my dog that I had before him and would try to attack Rico if he got too close. I am AMAZED at the awesome job Lea did for us! I will forever recommend this kennel for boarding and training they are the best! Thank you Lea and Elkhound Ranch for making life so much easier!

I took two of my dogs there for training. Behavior issues mainly. The dogs have been best buddies again, since leaving there. They are soo much more in tune with me and what I'm doing. Much more alert and ready to listen. The only reason for four stars is that there was a bit of a communication issue for updates and plans. I would definitely use them again.

They did great on our Pomeranian. Got her bathed, deshed, and trimmed up. She came out extra floofy and silky soft. Friendly staff and reasonable prices. We will be back.

I have two mini Aussie puppies who are, I’d say, “a little more than a handful”. I had been looking for a trainer for a couple of months who can teach them all the skills that they will need to have a successful and memorable life. After searching and searching and searching for what I wanted, I finally found Elkhound Ranch Kennels, and let me just say “I KNEW that Lea was EXACTLY what I was looking for!” She was honest about what they would need, and made me feel completely comfortable about leaving my puppies there for the entirety of training, however long that would be. I was so nervous and a little scared even, but I knew that I could trust her and that she would take the absolute best care of them. I got daily updates, because of course I texted her like crazy wondering how they were doing and how well they were taking to the training. She would always assure me that they were great and I felt reassured once again that they were in the right hands. She took them on four mile hikes rain or shine, she gave them extra snuggles just because they’re cute and she took them home each and every night and let them sleep in their own beds. She is just AMAZING!!! After a five week stay at The Ranch, they were finally ready to graduate. I was so excited to get my babies HOME!! Upon pick up, Lea spent about two hours going over everything they had learned and what it is that I need to do to keep up with it all. It was a little overwhelming for sure, but she sent me home with all the commands and what to do. She said that I could text her any time with all my questions and that she could even stop by if necessary. How cool is THAT?! She did amazing, my puppies did amazing, and I just love having my them back as much more confident and well mannered dogs. I would highly recommend them and of course Lea for her dedication and her love of dogs ❤️

Love bringing my puppy here! They treat her like family and she gets the interaction with other pups that she needs! It’s like taking her to family, would highly recommend to anyone. They have early drop off and late pick up too for those of us that work long hours!

I have been taking my sweet pit bull, Gentry, to Elkhound for doggie daycare for three years now. It’s such a wonderful place and the staff is an amazing group of animal lovers. They know all the dogs and owners by name. I know when I drop him off he will be well cared for and happy. The same goes for their boarding services. Elkhound is the only place I trust to take care of my dog, other than family.

Left my 6 month old puppy there for a two week board and train. When I picked him up he had sores all over his legs and paws. When I asked why I was told that they weren’t there before and they didn’t know what happened. After a visit to the vet it was discovered that there were bacterial and fungal infections. Also, I spend a lot of time training my dog and had made pretty good progress on his basic obedience for a 6 month old. I was very excited to see the progress he had made during a two week board and train and was shocked to see that he made no progress and in many ways had regressed. So I spent hundreds of dollars and got back a dog with wounds on his body and no progress made on his training. I’ve been texting the trainer for 5 days to give me a call to discuss all of this and she has not called me back.

We have had a great experience at Elkhound Ranch. The trainer, Lea, has done an amazing job with our energetic husky! It was amazing the difference we saw after having him attend immersion training, and he continues to love doggy daycare there. Lea treats him like he is one of her own dogs. All of the staff have been wonderful, always friendly and willing to help!

Elkhound Ranch is the only kennel I would ever consider leaving our beloved beagle Maxwell at. They love him like he was their own and are always available, even in emergent situations. We love them hands down!! Consider them for your boarding needs!!

Dogs are out all hours of the night, barking. I live nearby. This happens on nights where it is near freezing as well.

Had the opportunity to met & talk with my dogs personal trainer. Lea is very knowledgeable that made me comfortable. The grounds were clean well kept. Beautiful best friend retreat.

We came to see family but had to bring our puppies. And Elkhound was more than happy to take them in. Kristen was so amazing, and so was lee they both gave out standing service and cared for our puppies as if they were there own. Thank you again for everything. Something tells me that the owners are top notch people too.
