I am so disappointed in this vet. My cat Sammy was having some issues which I was concerned about so brought him in. On multiple phone calls I advised I was in the office and would not be able to pick him up until later. There was no push back and I was advised that was okay. I picked my cat up and before we walked out the door, the vet tech advised that he had been confined to his small pet carrier for over 8 plus hours and that he may have peed himself. The tech acted as though it was not a big deal and advised next time I need to pick him up earlier! If this would of been relayed to me I would of picked him up over my lunch. I called the next day to speak with the general manager and received no call back. I pay the vet to care for my animal not NEGLECT.

They took good care of our puppy, she was suffering from car sickness during our trip from Texas. Allie MO is just fine now. Just a little more expensive than we were expecting.

I have been a dedicated client of Amity Woods for over 15 years. I used them for vet services and lodging while on vacations. This is not a review reflecting on the vet care my pets have received over the years but on a stay my French bulldog Rudy had in June. I dropped him off on a Friday for a 5 day stay with vet care. I received a phone call on Monday morning stating he can no longer use his hind legs. They say he was kenneled alone Sunday night after no issues but when staff arrived Monday morning he could not get up. He was x-rayed and needed emergency spinal surgery to rectify a disc impeding on his spinal cord. He had no prior issues to this. The expensive surgery was performed and he is on the road to recovery. My issue with the lodge is that they claim the cameras were off over the weekend and all the charting about the weekend was done after the fact Monday afternoon. They attempted to submit a request to their insurance company to help recoup some of the cost for us but as insurance companies do they denied that request. They claimed this is common for French bulldogs. I know no other frenchie with this ailment of being paralyzed after being in a kennel alone overnight. So then I gave the lodge numerous chances to do right by us and perhaps split the cost. My emails and calls have gone unanswered to. They have actually avoided us basically after the first week when they seemed to care. I don't believe they are in the business to hurt pets but it doesn't change the fact it happened on their watch and now we are teaching our frenchie to be back to his normal self with an expensive price tag attached. I'm very disappointed with Amity Woods Lodge and the conscience they have after the incident.

We have gotten the best care at Amity Woods while our cat has been sick. Dr. Sires has been amazing with communicating with us. She has called multiple times a day to touch base which is amazing. The techs have done a wonderful job with our cat as well. We couldn’t ask for better care!

Amity Woods is the only place in the KC Metro I trust to take my dog for both boarding and medical appointments. The staff is always friendly, knowledgeable and they always follow up to your appointments.

Dr Sabol is awesome. I trust him and my dog likes him. Not too fond of some of the other personnel but it is what it is. Be prepared to spend $$$

Decided to switch Veterinary provider for the family's three dogs after a switch and management at the previous office. Have had multiple visits to the Amity Woods Animal Hospital now and will be sticking with them- always a pleasant visit with great staff! Would definitely recommend.

Very pleasant start to finish. Arrived for my appointment a bit early and was seen within minutes. Dr. Sires and Bailey my vet tech explained my dog's prescriptions and how they were to be administered in very simple terms. They both listened and answered all my questions fully. Great first impressions!

Staff is friendly and caring. Vet is knowledgeable and practical in recommendations. Isn't looking to charge for unnecessary treatments just to make money. Truly interested in the best interest of the pets without charging a fortune!

My experience couldn't have been better. Even under pandemic circumstances, each staff member was friendly and helpful, and the process to accommodate proper distancing was very well done. Thank you for the care my cat received.

Amity Woods helped me get a same day appointment for my dog that fit my work schedule. The vet was very thorough and didn’t perform any unnecessary procedures. I was very satisfied with my visit.

We had never boarded here before now and picked up my dogs this morning. I waived the bath as they are going to be getting groomed soon. I was still surprised to see them covered in poop and urine. They were uncharacteristically lethargic. They both came home and drank and drank water and one of the dogs kept throwing it up. Even in small amounts. She is currently at our vet where she has been diagnosed with a severe bladder infection and dehydration. They are putting her on an IV, giving her injectable antibiotics and keeping her over night. Please do NOT board your dogs here. We feel so bad for our poor babies.

My family has been taking our dogs to Amity for 20+ years. I drive 45min just to see them cause there’s no better place. The staff & doctors are one of a kind & treat us like part of the family. Wether you have a puppy or a senior dog, they always do what’s very best for your pet & give you all the options of care. I can’t say enough about this group! <3

I bring my lab puppy here and he is enjoying doggie daycare! Helps him socialize with other dogs! The staff here is awesome to him and seem to look forward to seeing him which is very important to me!

The staff and doctors are awesome. They work me in for emergencies and are always professional and kind. My dog is not a people person but loved his tech Bailey. My daughter and mother switched to them, also. We live in Lansing and don't mind the drive for a vet clinic that's awesome.

They have repeatedly made errors in scheduling my dogs as well as inaccurate communication when one needed ACL surgery. Also, my dogs see a different DVM every time we are there. Lastly, I feel their pricing for even the basics of service are overpriced.
