I just brought my 6 year old newfoundland in for his first visit here and I just can't imagine taking him anywhere else! They were so kind, caring and loving to both myself and my dog. I just can't say enough good things about this office and their staff! If you have a pet, this is where they should be going!

I had an emergency with my cat. Got in the next morning, the Dr. And staff treated him like he was there own. Took 3 visits to get him on the right track. I am forever grateful for them. COVID SAFTY MEASURES made me feel at ease.

The care here is unmatched. My entire des moines family takes our pets here. They love animals and are always kind and helpful.

Been taking my dogs here since I moved to DSM 2 years ago. Amazing staff, reasonable prices, and they will treat your animal with excellent levels of care.

Stopped in this week for my dog, she had an ear infection and would absolutely not let anyone swab her ear, Caralynn absolutely saved the day with a quick idea to trick Remi (the dog) into the back room so they could treat her, got Remi all taken care of and we’re on our way, very pleased with their service they provide, thanks caralynn!

The vets and staff are so caring. You get a sense of relief that your baby will get good care. They give you the options of care and what your budget may allow.

We will be taking our dogs else where. Called Thursday morning and spoke with B. Explained my dog only needed bordarella, she quoted me $27 and took my card info. She offered a wellness exam and other services to which I declined. My husband took our dog in the afternoon to which B (who had just talked to me in the morning) re offered the same services I (the card holder) had already declined. They took our dog and performed all the services I declined and charge me $87. I called upset the following day. I spoke with Lexie who was very kind and apologized and advised someone would call me later in the day. Spoke with B later in the day. Wow. Argued with me, essentially called me a liar about our morning conversation and not ONCE apologized. Not only did she upset me more she confirmed our decision to move our veterinary and boarding needs else where. I am quite patient as I have worked customer service jobs. She needs to take a classes on how to talk to upset customers and how to descalate them instead of adding fuel to the fire. ** Update. The Vet called us to apologize and resolve the situation. She was very kind, understanding and apologetic.

The staff are AMAZING and extra patient with our special needs dog. I am so glad we found them!

We recently moved and were looking for a new vet for our two dogs. South Des Moines Veterinary Center has been fantastic, especially with my high-anxiety Maltese!

This vet and the workers where amazing and helped me and my mom to understand each step they took in helping my mom's dog. We both have switched vets due to the care of the pet and us.

I found this place due to its proximity to my house. I had my cat there a few times. Once for shots and a general check up where she was given antibiotics, and then again for spay/declaw. After spending around 700 dollars at this place, my cat came home from the spay with a cough, which the vet asked me to bring her back to look at. Another 200 dollars gone. This place cares more for dollars than it does for customers. When speaking with the manager I get told “I understand why you’re frustrated but”. As per the response, saying I was presented with paperwork that I signed agreeing to paying for additional costs that arose due to what they did during surgery is a lie. I’d love to see that paperwork :)

It was Ace's first trip to the vet. They were great with him. They are Ace approved!

I have been a client for over 25 years. Even with changes in staff, I have always been happy with our service and care for my pets.

I have been taking my pets to South Des Moines Vet Center for about 20 years. I am now living on a fixed income and sometimes have to wait and save up for procedures like a grooming, but it is still the best choice to have all my pet's care done here, because they really do care.

An absolutely fantastic experience! My estimated cost for the appointment and treatment for my dog was only 2/3 the estimate they gave me. I'll be returning when I need more help with my puppy :)

The amazing staff and excellent doctors at South Des Moines veterinary clinic took care of my sweet little baby boy cat when he needed minor surgery. they called us promptly when his surgery was over to let us know he was doing fine, and called us the next day to verify that he was still doing well. The staff is amazing, the prices arereasonable. Will definitely be going back.

We've been taking both our dogs here and both the staff as well as Dr Beyer are friendly as well as caring.

This place really is the best in the city. After taking my little puggle Chloe to multiple vets, I finally took her here and she gets outstanding treatment by the staff and doctors. A few years ago she needed surgery, and the procedure and recovery went very well. I can't recommend them enough!

People here are very nice, caring and intelligent! Prices are great! I have complete confidence in the vet to do any and all medical procedures using the highest of standards. I am very impressed! The staff is happy and there is an overall positive attitude in the clinic that is nice to be around!
