I have been here twice, once for a 2nd opinion on a medical procedure my first dog was to need. That was an average visit no issues. The next visit was average as well and we had decided this would be our new dogs regular vet. The issue came when we ran out of or dogs’ meds. I didn't think it would be an issue to call for a prescription same day since when it was originally written we left the same day with the pills. We had to call multiple times each time leaving a message on a machine or with a person and we got no return calls. Eventually I had to call multiple times in a row before they would pick up. When I did talk to someone, they said they had been passing my messages along to the vet. After I explained that I would have to go to the emergency vet to get the prescription filled if they wouldn't, I was told our vet was working at the other location and I could call there. When I called the other location, I was told our vet had been in a car accident and would not be returning anytime soon, at that point they offered to fill my dogs' prescription... I don't get it... If I hadn't forced the issue how long would we have been waiting for a call back??? Response to your response Dr. Wilke: I guess I will take your word that you were going to call us back today... 3 days no response to half a dozen phone calls but 30 minutes and you respond to a google review?! maybe check your priorities.

I love the care provided and the approach of the practice. They’ve been great with my dog and cats. My one mild frustration comes with punctuality. I’ve had to wait 15-20 minutes after appointment start times for my pets to be seen. That’s been the norm for me the last couple years. That may seem minor, but ends up making short appointments long. Again, services and vet care is top notch.

We have had only positive experiences with Iowa Veterinary Wellness Center in Waukee. They are kind and thorough while caring for our cat. I would highly recommend this veterinary practice!

Our cat ace was extremely sick with liver disease. When the vet notified us, we agreed to try some liver medicine for him. The vet said they would call to check on him in 2 days. Day 2, 3, 4, and 5 pass with no follow up call. …

I got my sphynx kitten spayed here as well as her other checkups/shots. Dr. Fitz and the rest of the staff there are extremely helpful! If you have a sphynx cat, you can assure any special needs will be accommodated. I take my other two cats here as well. Dr. Fitz and her team will get you the care you need!

Literally the best vet service we have ever received. From the front desk, to the techs, to Dr. Wilke. These guys are on top of it!! We started going there during COVID and never actually stepped foot inside for about a year. Everyone at Iowa Veterinary Wellness went above and beyond making us feel comfortable and in the know. Dr. Wilke treats every pet as her own. She always starts off by saying "if this was my pet, I would...". That is so important. Look no further than these guys!

Dr. Wilke and her staff are wonderful. Last year my 15 year old Scottie had to be put to sleep due to failing health. Even though this was a pandemic they allowed me to be with her in the building for her last breaths. They were so compassionate and caring. As busy as they are, they are never too busy to chat on the phone with you about any pet concerns. They go the extra mile for your pet. I continue to do business with them, with my surviving dog , as well as my future puppy.

This is my second pet to visit the Iowa Veterinary Wellness Center. My first, a Chihuahua, had severe back issues and a broken rib. I was referred to this clinic from my Vet, at the time, in Adel. I drove the 30 some miles to see this Vet. Dr. Wilke prescribed natural anti-inflammatories for her and started an electronic acupuncture regimen. Within 2 weeks, my sweet girl was living life to the full, once again. She lived for another 3 years to the age of nearly 14. My current fur love is my daughters dog (he says he belongs to me ha!) and was seeing another vet, also, when he had a knee/leg injury. I immediately took him to Dr. Wilke! He could barely use the leg before seeing this Doctor. Within weeks he was back to running Zoomies with a much less invasive treatment than was prescribed by his original vet. Our boy, now sees Dr. Wilke for all his veterinary needs! He's had bad reactions to his yearly immunizations in the past so Dr. Wilke was proactive in avoiding this. We had his yearly physical last week and he did awesome with the immunization regimen! Fortunately this office is now close to where I live, but I would recommend driving the distance to come to this clinic!!!

Best vet in town, especially with fearful, reactive, or aggressive animals! They are a fear free clinic that really knows their stuff and are more than willing to help accomodate the needs of fear reactive pets in the veterinary environment. They listen to the owners if you feel like a treatment or medication isn't doing the job, and are willing to work with you & your pet to find the right solution for you! I love that Dr Wilke is very honest and straightforward, while maintaining compassion.

We decided to take our pup to IVWC after receiving referrals from people in our neighborhood. He’s the first pet we have owned on our own so we needed a lot of direction and had the “first time parent” worries. Aside from his regular monthly visits, they have been so responsive and helpful with advice any time we call with questions! They are also always able to get him in right away if needed. The staff is always so friendly and our pup seems to really like it there! Definitely recommend taking your pet in to see them!

Dr. Wilke and all the staff at IVW go above and beyond to care for our pets. I walk away from each appt feeling like they love them like their own. They always offer options for care and well-thought out plans. I trust them completely, and that means the world to me, because my pets do.

The best experience I’ve ever had with a Vet! So impressed with their knowledge and love for my great dane (who can be a pain in the butt for strangers). Have gone out of their way countless times just to check up on her. Thank you guys!

I'm pretty sure I was more nervous about taking my dog to a new vet than my dog. Long story short, they put all my worries at ease and treated my pup with great care. The tech Melanie was full of great information and answers. I can't image going anywhere else.

I have a 11 year old cat who had really stinky breath and i figured i should probably get him into a vet and see what’s going on. the staff here are awesome and so kind. they are very educated about literally everything for animals and they’ve been so helpful. my cat ended up having 8 teeth pulled and a cleaning. today is the 2nd day home and my boy is doing great and not showing signs of pain or discomfort. i’m sure his medicine is helping him out too but i cannot thank IVWC for all they have done! <3

Dr. Wilkie and the staff at Iowa Veterinary Wellness Center are very caring and put you and your pet at ease right away. My dachshund has been struggling with some back issues and receives acupuncture which has helped make a big difference. Each time we go see Dr. Wilkie she is eager to get in get in to get all the special attention.

The vets and staff here are always pleasant to work with and giving. They go the extra mile to make sure our dogs are healthy and happy always!

Absolutely love this team of professionals! I have a German Shepherd and she literally starts whining with excitement three blocks out from their office everytime we visit. She loves their team and has been very well cared for, from check-in to check-out. Her breed prone to some issues and they've all been addressed in short order. My dog and I highly recommend their services!

We have been nothing but impressed with Iowa Veterinary Wellness at every appointment. Prolotherapy has been very beneficial to our 8 year old boxer mix for CCL rupture. We hesitated to put her through a surgery and long recovery at her age. Thrilled with the results we got here!

We just moved to the lower Beaver area and where worried about finding another Veterinarian as caring & loving as our last for our 2-little dogs & a cat. Well, We found one! We are SO happy with the professional & friendliness of the staff at Iowa Veterinarian Wellness. Leo, one our Miniature dachshund mix, recently had an eye injury & the staff treated Leo as if he was one of their pets. Their working with us to get Leo’s eye better... Thank you all for your TLC you have given Leo, let’s hope we don’t have to go through this again!

My dog injured her leg and we wanted to make sure she hadn’t torn her ACL again. They squeezed us in the next day as they wanted to make sure she was ok. Luckily just a pulled muscle. Treated and said if she needed a second treatment they would work through lunch or stay late since it was right before Xmas to make sure she was ok. Love this place. They truly care about your pets.

I adopted my dog about 5 months ago and was in need of a primary veterinarian. I did a simple google search and based my choice off of reviews. The clinic is conveniently close to my residence. The staff is very friendly and professional. The doctor is knowledgeable and pleasant to speak with. Keep up the good work ladies.

Wiley is a family member who happens to be a dog. I take his health seriously and it is important to me to have a veterinarian that I can speak honestly and open with and who will take the time to listen . Someone who is pleasant and respects each situation and all involved, someone who is happy to explain down to the smallest detail. Dr Molly Jaschen is just that veterinarian for us. She has gone out of her way to work with me on Wiley’s behalf and it is obvious she loves making a difference for health and well-being of the animals she serves.
